- I found an SD card, it must have fallen from a drone or RC plane I think.
Stay tuned... the weather has only just come right so I'm busy getting as much flying in as I can. Videos in edit!

This is egregious. An absolute overstep of power. This is all absolutely ridiculous. I have a lot of loss and trauma and this is the only thing in the entire world that's ever given me any peace. And purpose as stupid as this sounds. I know I'm not the only one. Theres something about it that makes me forget about my problems, and makes me feel anything as of late.
I stopped for 5 years because of all of this. This year was rough for me, so I decided to go back. I've spent a ton, and I have zero regrets. It's so much more than just drones and planes. Fpv changed my life. It has opened so many doors for me, and helped me understand so many topics. Like RF, electronics, circuitboard repair and soldering, photography/cinematography, computer stuff, and I'm sure I'm missing some. You're forced to learn so much, you cant help but benefit elsewhere. I was always the type to get frustrated and move on. Fpv made me realize i can do anything with some research and patients. I was always overwhelmed by large projects and I d get frustrated and quit. After I started building drones, I've since gone on to build computers, 3d printing, arduino, I've been got a hydroponic grow room. It sounds lame, but this hobby literally changed my life for the better. I feel like I have hope now. I have skills, and confidence I didnt prior to my involvement with fpv. Right now, it's the only thing keeping me from, well...cancelling myself. Its literally a mental health tool for me.
Again, I know I cant be the only one. We need to make this be known. When this first came about, I remember UAV futures doing a compilation of pilots about how this changed their life. I feel like we should try thay again on a larger scale. I fully believe this is about commercial delivery operations, and not about safety. Safety regulations are written in 8l00d. There has been zero casualties. If it's not for d34d residents then it must be for d34d presidents (I.e money).

Youre are not the only one, flying rc has brought me out of a 4 year hole ive been in.
Like you said, it teaches you new things, gives you confidence, and it also gets me outside. Which is really important for me right now. Im surrounded by regulations and no fly zones because of bogus laws that werent thought through. Breaks my heart every day when i see my planes hung up. Getting into FPV whoops now because they are more discreet and im excited about the future of this hobby for myself. Hopefully i dont get harrassed doing this too.
Good on you mate. My wife died two years ago age only 60 , this hobby has kept me sane.
In Australia and New Zealand we play cricket, rugby union, rugby league etc and there are many serious injuries and occasional deaths. But these sports are encouraged and promoted all the time. I love mountain biking and skateboarding and have had many bad falls. I have never once been hurt or hurt anyone else with any type of RC vehicle.
This makes me want to fly my UAVs even more.

We have a thrift store here in Canada called Value Village, I buy Camera's and love it when that SD card is in it, quietly up to the counter I go, pay my way, hoping that I have a captured image of my hero, Sasquatch...

Yeah, damn SD cards always falling out of drones. Must be from regulatory shock. Wind blows them for miles. I've had to order a bunch more cards.

I have to admit - it was me loosing that SD card on the street. Came all the way from Norway to summer Tokoroa for collecting experience with Drone enforcement Police behavior around the world. Then i saw the CAA car coming around the corner and landed so hard that my drone spitted out the card on the street - Had no time to pick it up before leaving the scene... Now i am safe back in Norway.

At first I was thinking the same shit, this is definitely the sort of stuff a paranoid schizophrenic does..
Then I saw the car marked 'Drone Enforcement'. How often do you see those fuckers around? Granted I'm over in the states but I don't think I've ever seen a car marked 'Drone Enforcement team'. It's also a lot less far fetched when you remember this man is currently in a very public spat with his local politicians. This is one of the few times it's actually kinda believable.
People who go around thinking the government is after them are usually paranoid, but then again cops and local politicians are usually egotistical assholes who got shoved in a locker in high school so it's at least a 50/50.

I live in the US and don't care what the FAA says I still fly where I want, in respect to safety and common sense. I will never outfit my planes with remote ID.

the only thing i stopped was renewing my license to fly the drone. I now do outlaw flying rather than over regulated flying for a fee and ID.

Nice vid Bruce! I'm loving your content especially at the moment, you seem really full of a new energy to cut through all the nonsense in front of us. Everything fun is over regulated, and seems the more fun it is, the more regulations there are! This means that FPV is an exceptionally fun hobby, and getting more fun every year!! If you don't harm anyone or put anything at risk.. honestly.. what are they going to do to you? That is how I'm going.. The police don't prosecute shoplifting, they don't investigate burglary, most fraud, or even their own corrupt officers.. why on earth I would let them spoil my fun through paranoia... They can suck my plums. Big up from the UK.

actual ducking drone police.. my god.. here in norway i can have a boat up to 45 feet unregistered.. and i can even fart around with it in up to 50 knots without a lisence.. because im born before 1980.. now THAT sounds safe!! i dont even know the rules on the ocean.. just some very basic stuff.. but i do have a boat.. goes 7 knots downhill and with the wind comming from behind.. a sailboat.. so everyone must give me the right of way if my sails are up:-P

I thought the police part was a joke but it seems not! 😵 I did some flying in Brisbane a couple of years back, and next day my brother received a call from CASA asking if he flew drone last in Brisbane recently 😳 (I was driving his car the day before)
