Alex told Chris Shiflett in an interview the other day that his solo in that song was written to be frenetic and crazy...mission accomplished. He's a genius player.
Alex can shred with the best of them, he just chooses to fit the solo to the song vs the song to the solo. THAT’S what Rush was always about, the pieces HAVE to fit, for the song to have the most and it’s intended impact.🤘🖖✌️🎸🥁🎹🎤
What a great song. I love Alex's guitars. He just flows in and out with chords and solos and arpeggios and accents. He's one of the most versatile guitarists!
That's my favourite song in terms of Alex's solos. I've loved it since 1982. Nice that I got to hear it that last time live (albeit in Hamilton, rather than Dallas).
Great Production, sound separation is great for an arena. Note the way the lyrics fit into the music so much better than Territories where the lyrics were written by Neil without Alex and Geddy's input while writing. Love the whammy and spatial fills in the guitar solo to compliment the shreddification. This is my kinda Rush tune.... 🔥🔥
One of my favorites since ‘82. Alex is a great old-school shredder - right on the ragged edge of sloppiness. Page on steroids. This solo is legendary for good reason.
Top notch Rush song, always loved the pounding drums leading into Alex’s superb and timeless solo. One of my absolute favourites from one of my top Rush albums. Can never pinpoint an absolute number one favourite, there are several albums that are so close that they just remain top favourites and Signals is always among them. Thanks Justin, good job😊.
I remember as a teen hot tears rolling down my face as I listened to the lines 'too many hands on my time, too many feelings...' this was such a powerful record for me, it was like they were in my head singing my teenage angst 🤘🏼💯
I love the arrangement changes they made to some older songs in later tours. Like going back into “you move me” after the solo. Nice change from the album version!
Obviously, their performances of this song back when it was new in the 1980s are unsurpassed. But for them being so close to their dotage, this was a ripping performance. All three shined and were very tight. Geddy even kept the croaking mostly in check.
The fact that Alex got Neil to almost laugh while playing was really great. Also I think Geddy picked a bunch of songs on this tour where he didnt have to belt out early to give his voice a rest. Another song that is great. Keep it up JP. Another great reaction.
I just got the Signals 40th Anniversary Box Set....The audio Blu-ray has awesome Dolby 5.1 mix. And the pictures that transition from Analog Kid to Digital Man are primo!
Baseball caps hawks flying by simple pleasures that's youth. I think this album has some of the best work from Alex. This, chemistry, digital man, weapon great stuff
I loved both Analog Kid and Territories on this tour. They’re not really rare cuts but still great to hear again. They were both played previously live on two different tours each and then brought back for the CA tour. Analog Kid was played in 82-83 and 94. Territories was played on the 86 and 87 tours.
Wonderful performance and Al's coming relief at first verse😂...amazing how good of a song this is blending an up tempo rocker with the slower moody atmospheric sections...sublime...and its behind Subdivisions, Digital Man and The Weapon for me of my faves from Signals...its why I listen to this album more than any others and is tied with MP as my most enjoyed albums front to back!!!🤘
One of my favorites from Signals, which BTW was the first album of Rush I owned an maybe my favorite album of theirs. This one just rocks. It is almost a throw back to Permanent Waves but with a synth twist. But it rocks like Spirit of Radio and Freewill. What a great concert. I could of went to this concert but decided not to go because I could not find anyone to go with me. How foolish of me.
I didn't truly appreciate Alex's skill until I saw him live for the first time. I'd say in my (much) younger days my ears just weren't mature enough to know what they were hearing.
Yeah! One of Alex’s best solos. Great song. Weird random question. Is anyone watching Good Omens? If you are, does Geddy look like a brother to the demon Crowley here?
This being their last tour, Geddy’s vocals aren’t bad here. Sure he strains to hit the higher notes with an occasional break, but I could certainly live with what he did here. Yeah great solo; love it when Alex goes for it like that.
Yeah, that was great!! I would have like to see that one more time!! Did I miss something? This makes 2 today..! Have you been doing 2 a day since we started the tour? I gotta go back at your videos and see! Be well and God bless… from Texas!!
Nope today was a surprise. He had just been posting one in the morning. I like the 2 a days personally. Something to look forward too when I wake up and later on the way home from playing golf 🏌️♂️ ⛳️

"Good job Alex!" Singing at the beggining....and...His solo! Amazing energy!
Signals is in my Top 3. This song never gets old.
What a great song. I love Alex's guitars. He just flows in and out with chords and solos and arpeggios and accents. He's one of the most versatile guitarists!
One of my all time favourite Rush songs! ❤❤❤
I love Alex's solo.

One of my favorite Rush songs. They performed it on the Counterparts tour and it was awesome as I had not expected that to be played.

Watching Geddy play bass and foot pedal keys at 4:35 is pretty amazing.

Well you reacted just as I thought you would. The part when Alex stepped up to the microphone. His comedy always makes me laugh! 😆😂😆
Signals!! My first tour. Top 3 album, and we can perhaps revisit Countdown with you Justin. Video gives me chills.
My first concert was Signals!!🔥🤘🏻
The video that I believe NASA put out for that song, makes it much better IMO
Would have been mine, but they skipped Northern California completely. Sucked balls.
Bravado Jam coming up and it's a good one!!!
Amazing how Geddy plays the bass, foot pedals, and sings at the same time... 4:30min
I love the arrangement changes they made to some older songs in later tours. Like going back into “you move me” after the solo. Nice change from the album version!

“This is The Kid…”
Gary says:74-82 is superior!
Like you said, in the last video. Great Setlist.🔥

This song gives me the garden effect on emotions for sure!!!
never noticed he switched around the lyrics on the last chorus. pretty cool
Love this track. It resonates with me, enormously.
Baseball caps hawks flying by simple pleasures that's youth. I think this album has some of the best work from Alex. This, chemistry, digital man, weapon great stuff
Top 10 Rush track on my list, great performance as well.🔥🤘🏻
They needed a tour where they played most of Signals.(besides 1982 of course)
Gary would like to hear Digital Man too!
I would too!

Woohoo!!! I've been holding it. Bathroom break time now....

mets en esti, l.o.l.🤘🤘🤘
I really like this song. A pretty solid performance as well.
Nope, I checked! Today is just special..?! LOL
studio version in my top ten easily. nice version here

Justin I believe you already reacted to this live version. Really early when you started the rush channel

Are glad decided to watch this?
the best rush song, in my book, but hey, all taste is in the nature. tai shan, l.o.l,🤘🙏🤘
Justin should check out the 1994 counterparts tour version.
i remember back in 1994,they played the full song and it was 3 th on the set list,🤘🤘🤘@@PROGROCK-tr9hw

no, the schedule opened up today so from now til CA Live is over it's two a day.
@@kennethmckinney2532yeah, I look forward to them too! When I wake up and after work! Sure gonna miss my RUSH when we’re done! Be well my friend.
My No. 2 Rush song (after Middletown Dreams). Great solo by Alex. And now we know the truth of it all...Geddy is actually triggering Alex's vocals!
The most Soloey lol
🧡🧡😎😎
Alex sofa king good. 🎸
