Wharton Governance Hub first meeting Dec. 9,2024

Professor McDonnell reviewed the concept behind the Wharton Governance Hub. This hub will feature thought leadership developed by practitioners (WAFB members) and academics. As an initial step, from January to April 2025, WAFB members interested in creating content for the HUB will collaborate with MBAs enrolled in a corporate governance course taught by Professor McDonnell.
Eight initial themes have been identified, but additional themes may be explored to respond to issues board members are grappling with and would like more content on. Working alongside MBAs allows for the inclusion of empirical data in the content. Possible formats mentioned for the resulting content include video blogs, interviews, and mini case studies.
NEXT STEPS: By January 15th, WAFB members interested in participating in this first activity should submit (VIA AN ONLINE FORM) their ideas on topics to create compelling statements for the governance field, leveraging collaboration with a team of MBAs.
