Believe me when I tell you that Roman Polanski was not hard up for cash having to do a simple photography session for some actress girl desperately needing money. That was just his stupid ruse to get access to a 13-year-old and access with her alone away from her mother.
Why? Polanski already did the time that was agreed upon by both his and Geimer's lawyers. He pleaded guilty, and complied with jailtime and undergoing a psychiatric evaluation. This plea bargain was perfectly legal. It was *after* he had served the necessary time for this evaluation, to the satisfaction of the institution he'd been locked up in, that the judge, flattered by media attention, announced he would break his word and have Polanski tried in spite of the plea bargain, in order to send him to jail for a much longer time. It was only then that Polanski fled from this unreliable judge (Rittenband). You may disagree with that, but at least know and present the full picture.
I definitely believe in hearing all sides, so I appreciate your challenge and pushback. I spoke prematurely, it appears. Victims who do not face and/or understand the depth and breadth of such crimes committed against themselves feed into their perpetrators' narratives.
I see what you're saying here but, do you not realize that Polanski has several other victims? Not just the one 13 year old girl. "Hollywood" is ALL guilty of condoning this behaviour but, Polanski has more than one victim. At least 4 that have come forward since Samantha. It's just gross. He might have served his time for the crime he committed against her but, he should have been locked up for LIFE! Not just Meryl Streep or Tarantino but, ALL of Hollywood that has condoned this behaviour and accepted it as the norm should be ashamed of themselves. Harvey Weinstein should have gotten LIFE without parole. My daughter wants to be an actress. She's 10. She's good at it. She could totally do it and be successful but, as a parent I refuse to put my child in a pedophile ring of sicko, money grubbing, child raping individuals.
Just so you know: Under the law a 13 year-old cannot give that consent. No matter what! (Sounds like ol’ Quinten has had a few encounters with underage party girls himself.)
Tarantino's at fault here because he defended Polanski. If he had "stayed away from it" he would not be at fault. So they're not protecting him. Similarly, if you tell a robber he shouldn't have robbed, you're not protecting him.
These people are “entertainers” not philanthropists or civic minded pillars of virtue; they entertain us and why they are given so much credit for supposedly embodying any altruistic values is ludicrous!
My issue is this: Polanski was rightly shunned for his crimes, but so many in the dark cesspit of Hollywood get away with those crimes and much worse. David Bowie, Jimmy Page, John Lennon, just to name a tiny fraction. Where is the justice in those figures getting away with their crimes?
It's interesting. Does it change anything that (among others) Lori Mattix and Sable Starr were quite deliberately seeking out musicians for sex? I'll say no, inasmuch as they were children! With that said, Polanski's actions were definitely worse.
Yeah, statutory rape is still a severe crime, and I don't think the media needs to elaborate on that by this point. If you think that's OK, the media being fake is probably the least of your problems.
Jake Lineman All those movies mentioned above are great. The Fearless Vampire Killers is quite engaging too. Only trying to separate the art from the artist.
r3psyche The same damned thing you just said. I'm just taking a dig at his movies, because I think they're overrated. You've got any problems with that? Now if I'm going to get into it, movies are a collaborative effort, and way many more people contribute to the creation of a quality picture than a single egocentric individual. Who knows how many potentially bad people have contributed to making good art in their lifetimes? Would you stop liking a favorite movie if one of its art directors was a rapist or gaffer a murderer? Maybe you would, but rejecting a piece of work in total can have its conundrums too.
And quite a number of actresses defended Roman Polanski around the same time. And yet back then, no one made an outcry. And now, it seems that there is still an attempt to go after certain Hollywood figures over comments made that, back then, were fine. I don't defend Tarantino's comments, but this thing is phony to me.
DSWynne - you’re right. I wonder if there are any actresses out there who actually made it without having to sleep around at some stage of their career?
Meryl Streep defended him, saying she shoudnt go to jail... For his crime lol Now she wants to act as if she cares about women it's unbelievable, if she did cared maybe she would've said something about the 13 year old he raped instead of jumping to defend his actions
Lf,Wynne,Martinishot..who said everyone needs to forget that...well,all need to REMEMBER the following- * S Geimer apparantly has a low IQ * Not in contact with reality. *She and mommy wanted fame and the $.Probably did not even have talent. One wonders if she was paid-more later. If giving consent at 13 is illegal, she was doing illegal things with her boyfriend. Clearly she wanted to try out many things,,thus already taking that pill. She could with a hiding. She is thus not the innocent child. Does not look like momny cares about her, only fame etc. She spilled the beans, now she stayes that they have a bond.Lol. Not even worth commenting about Would you let your 13 year old go alone with a man for photo's ?? Too big for her shoes. It is wrong what he did,but they are also wrong. If I walk in a dark alley at 2 am in the morning, with just about no clothes on,I must face the consequences. It seems in America a child is never at fault. Small wonder there are shootups in schools..
Is anyone surprised? Even in once upon a time in Hollywood brad pitts character shows him picking up a 13 year old and they zoom in on her feet which Tarantino fetishized in all his movies
When are we going to have regulations around the modeling agencies and Hollywood production involving our children? Over and over young girls and boys are victimized.
No-one needs films with children in them. Or commercials. No-one needs child beauty pageants. No-one needs boygroups with teens as members. No-one needs any of those things. If you want to tell a story with a young child as a crucial character, go tell a different story in your film. Use your brain to think of something else. If you're a child who likes to perform and sing, go sing on some community stage play or something. These things could be made illegal but they aren't.
@@paulvoorhies8821 Would you mind rephrasing that? I don't understand what you mean. Unless what you're saying is that children are a part of people's life, and that in films, the lives of people are depicted, and that you need children to realisically do that.
because they cherry-pick passages from the bible which suit their agendas and which doesn't like they condemn homosexuality but ignore stoning kids for not obeying their parents, eating pork and shellfish (among other), wearing clothes made from two kinds of material
Didn't Meryl Streep also defend the paedophile rapist? All these big names say and do this crap and we still support them by going to their movies or watching the award shows.

He left the country and never really been punished for that. My question is if she was the only girl he took advantage off or there was much more?

Quentin whats he thinking saying that the girl was given quaaludes at 13 and of polanski owning up to his conduct but in another country and still gets praise for his films in hollywood its just twisted. But the victim is not an adult but she got final say now. Did quentins girlfriend mira sorvino get sexually harassed by weinstein but she turned him down flat but he then black balled her career across hollywood for awhile and tarantino defended weinstein actions it seems sick. In paltrows case pitt threw weinstein up against a wall and told leave his gal pal alone.
At first glance, Tarantino's words sound repulsive and for me at any glance, in this case, but it could spark a healthy debate about when consent is consent. Is a person down syndrome fair game, is somebody suffering a mental breakdown fair game, or a man that has been abused and haven't sorted the trauma, or a drug addict when they are more vulnerable? It's that yes, good enough to proceed?. I think T was focusing on the yes part, not so much the person themselves and their capacity to realise the real of their willingness. If indeed was so consequences

Those three you mentioned obviously weren't part of Hollywood.
In that same interview, he says sex with a minor is "statutory" rape, but the fake media omits that part. He was still wrong to defend Polanski.
Samson
Oh so are you saying statutory rape is ok?
Yeah, statutory rape is still a severe crime, and I don't think the media needs to elaborate on that by this point. If you think that's OK, the media being fake is probably the least of your problems.
Jordon Belfort, Which part of my 2nd sentence can't you read?
@@rogergoodell2785 "statutory rape" is not really rape.
In a plea deal he agreed to the statutory charge, but the girl was drugged
Tarentino is a creative genius, but also kind of a nut.
You sure do idolize .Youve seen him writing ?
Eric Silva-Gomez He’s overrated and creepy
@@anastasia-fr1gn He`s a movie genius
He's sick.
@@PowerandLuxury No he is not, he just copies from other films. Not original at all
Shame on Tarantino
Is so wrong but Chinatown and The Pianist are both fantastic films. Overshadowed by grossness
Rosemary's baby, Tenant and Ghost writer too.
Jake Lineman All those movies mentioned above are great. The Fearless Vampire Killers is quite engaging too.
Only trying to separate the art from the artist.
Yep. You can be a terrible person and a great director. The 2 are not mutually exclusive.
Somone please get Meryl Streep on camera condemning Roman 😂
Dawson Boyle I'll do it. I'll do it.
Be sure to blur her face.
bubbiesdad why
It "surfaced"??? Wow, how did they find that obscure interview with HOWARD STERN THE KING OF ALL MEDIA???
Even Howard Stern thinks it's wrong. That's a shock.
That’s how you know it’s bad!
How many ludes has Tarantino given to 13 yearolds
Zero.
Tarantino is a prevert just look at him , you watch he'll be caught next.
It's so funny a few years ago Hollywood was defending roman now we have me to
I’m surprised that people are surprised about Tarantino. Like have you never seen a movie of his? Dude wasn’t acting in “From Dusk til Dawn” .
Probably guilty of similar acts, of course he's going to downplay it. Disgusting slug.
Wow, unbelievable!
Polanski should never have been defended as long as he's been; frankly, his movies aren't good enough to justify all that.
r3psyche The same damned thing you just said.
The quality of his films doesn't matter.
And he has a child ? Ew just ew
Do not feed the Tarantroll, I can't stand yet another self proclaimed masterpiece please...
Tarantino looks like a Boxing glove.
i wonder what skeletons tarantino has in his closet 🤔
And quite a number of actresses defended Roman Polanski around the same time. And yet back then, no one made an outcry. And now, it seems that there is still an attempt to go after certain Hollywood figures over comments made that, back then, were fine. I don't defend Tarantino's comments, but this thing is phony to me.
DSWynne - you’re right. I wonder if there are any actresses out there who actually made it without having to sleep around at some stage of their career?
Meryl Streep defended him, saying she shoudnt go to jail... For his crime lol
Now she wants to act as if she cares about women it's unbelievable, if she did cared maybe she would've said something about the 13 year old he raped instead of jumping to defend his actions
Lf,Wynne,Martinishot..who said everyone needs to forget that...well,all need to REMEMBER the following-
* S Geimer apparantly has a low IQ
* Not in contact with reality.
Not even worth commenting about
Would you let your 13 year old go alone with a man for photo's ??
Too big for her shoes.
It is wrong what he did,but they are also wrong.
If I walk in a dark alley at 2 am in the morning, with just about no clothes on,I must face the consequences.
It seems in America a child is never at fault.
Small wonder there are shootups in schools..
I mean everyone states.
@@Lff3333 Most of them, that's why they defend it
Creep
Tarantino is a hypocrite too
Is anyone surprised? Even in once upon a time in Hollywood brad pitts character shows him picking up a 13 year old and they zoom in on her feet which Tarantino fetishized in all his movies
sighhhh tarantino is so disgusting for this
Tarantino probably participated in such acts with Weinstein no doubt
This is shameful
One P.O.S. Defending another P.O.S.....................
Tarantino is horrible. He sounds exactly like a predator himself. "Oh she wanted it" really??? She was a CHILD
Here's hoping testicular cancer makes an aggressive visit to Polanski & Tarantino.
They didn’t say the part when he said he thinks it should be illegal but not classified as rape
When are we going to have regulations around the modeling agencies and Hollywood production involving our children? Over and over young girls and boys are victimized.
No offense, but is that your real pic?
No-one needs films with children in them. Or commercials. No-one needs child beauty pageants. No-one needs boygroups with teens as members. No-one needs any of those things. If you want to tell a story with a young child as a crucial character, go tell a different story in your film. Use your brain to think of something else. If you're a child who likes to perform and sing, go sing on some community stage play or something. These things could be made illegal but they aren't.
@@camelopardalis84
No one needs films with children in them?? WTF?? It’s called life.
@@paulvoorhies8821 Would you mind rephrasing that? I don't understand what you mean. Unless what you're saying is that children are a part of people's life, and that in films, the lives of people are depicted, and that you need children to realisically do that.
@@camelopardalis84 You got it.
Shame on Tarantino. And shame on all those who say Polanski should somehow be above justice because he is a successful director.
This is Hollywood
As a public person you should be aware of your comments. This is how child trafficking starts.
Why do Americans think that rape is wrong? The Bible says it's fine and they all like their bible don't they...?
because they cherry-pick passages from the bible which suit their agendas and which doesn't
like they condemn homosexuality but ignore stoning kids for not obeying their parents, eating pork and shellfish (among other), wearing clothes made from two kinds of material
Jesus, And Hollywood still Supports Him
Polanski GUILTY.
Left the video of him vomiting bs to listen to who matters in this situation - the victim
By the majority, they are all the same in Hollyweird.
Do some research roman also did the same to a ten year old. TEN!!! Let that sink in.
She doesn't have to "react" in front of a camera. Dignified silence isn't heard of in her world
SICK
I know. how this man is still decorated is beyond me.
Tarantino in the new chris hensen episode
Boy I wish Polanski had been home alone the night the Manson Family came to visit.
Didn't Meryl Streep also defend the paedophile rapist? All these big names say and do this crap and we still support them by going to their movies or watching the award shows.
Sam, it's Staci. I love you. This is unbelievable!
It's sad That the victim is still in contact with Polansky.
How Polanski is able to still be be a free man while living in France after disgusting acts like this is just messed up, they should really re-work the global justice system so he can get his long overdue arrest.
Let me get this straight....This interview has been floating around since 2003 and she's Just NOW commenting on it? seriously???
She saw it on Tumblr
Who do you mean by 'she's', the broadcaster or the victim? I'd bet the victim hadn't heard about the comments until informed by a news crew.
Monsters

Yes, media executives, producers, and directors.
Never watch these films again.
Which ones?
I wonder how much money she received from this event?

Can’t believe this
Love it how we treat Tarantino as the bad guy in this story ffs can we just concentrate on getting Polanski before he’s dead ffs
People,
Remember when Howard stern was a shock jock?.
Oh let's say 15+ years ago.
About the time of that interview.
1:46 just take a look at these faces. Do these look like the faces of decent men? Disgusting.
I hope you know that predators can be very handsome and normal looking.
He is totally wrong she was only 13 girl and she was not done with it if a grown guy have to drug her to take advantage of her. Evan is the girl was done (willing) him as a grown guy he should never use her becuse he knew she was way to young for him he could be his father. He left the country and never really been punished for that. My question is if she was the only girl he took advantage off or there was much more?
Vile
I thought this lady’s mother was involved with extortion and stopping this been done before I don’t know why I think that but I remember reading something about a long time ago as far as her being down with it it doesn’t matter he’s 40 something years old he knew better he shouldn’t have done that and why would he want to be in a hot tub with a 13-year-old girl that’s wrong right there
So 1977 ? They Decided to get rid of him for some reason ..their favourite way ..
Typical liberal media reporting. Let the victim speak, show the whole interview. Don't paraphrase.
I love Tarantino movies. He's a dumb s*** for saying what he said. See people? You can like someone and disagree with them
It is a problem.David Bowie did it with a girl. Not correct.
But I like his art.
However,what was she doing there?
Tarantino needs better friends but maybe he is like them.

+Agustin Camejo agreed...all are bad no matter what side of aisle.
Righties open arms for Roy Moore and Dennis Hastert who was caught touching 4 little boys.

👌. She was 13. End of story.
The conspiracy community has been tell you this for year.
Bring Polanski back to California where he owes the state time. I do a crime they certainly would go after me.
Well...as long as they apologise...smh...
