Just when I think TFL can't be any better, you give us this. Tommy's incredibly capable Jeep getting stuck. Pushing the limits of the FJ. Showing us how much more capable side by sides are. The ingenuity of David. This was such an entertaining video. Thanks for working so hard to make a great series

Hey Tommy, having taken my Jeep thru a lot of mud in my early wheeling days, I'd say disassemble the rear brakes and clean them out asap. The drums in the rear that hold the parking brakes will now have a ton of mud in there and really grind away at the parts. Might wanna service the fronts too and check the abs sensors and hubs. Just a tip. cheers.

I enjoy brainstorming names for things and with the right people it’s fun and the evolving ideas just grow off each other until where you started was just great direction but the journey and end result are something special. So if you don’t mind too much I’d like to build off what you started. No offense involved or intended just trying to help build a thread and get some more name choices for our TFL friends to peruse! 😃😉
I kind of like the use of Cottonwood and the sound of Cottonwood Gulch for the obstacle and it sounds a little bit old western too.
Skunk Swamp is pretty good but maybe we should try on Sasquatch Swamp or Skunk Ape Swamp ? Are they maybe little too trendy? Idk There’s a potential marketing angle there.. Jack Link’s Sasquatch bathtub.. LOL 😂 Actually I kind of like that, just The Sasquatch bathtub! Makes me laugh and think it’s either stinky before or after he uses it!!
#5 how does tangled terraces , tricky terraces , troubled terrain, troubled terraces, I kind of like that last one , Troubled Terraces
Obstacle 6 Helmet Hill maybe? Prickly Pear peak?cactus climb, are others that might work too.

This made me think about some of the testing you'll be able to do at Tumbleweed. What about having some sort of obstacle that's similar to an RTI ramp, something where one side can go higher and higher while the other stays low. That or some sort of side slope test to see how much side tilt, and how steep a hill driving up it, offroad advertised vehicles can handle before feeling uncomfortably tippy

Best episode ever guys! Friends out getting stuck and then trying to get out. The only thing missing was a cooler of “drinks.” In honor of Roman’s t-shirt, I suggest naming obstacle #1 “The Boggy Creek Monster”. (After the 1972 classic movie, The Legend of Boggy Creek.). BTW as an old school guy, most “Stucks” only needed to move the vehicle 5-10 feet to get out. A shovel, snatch strap, a come-along with a snatch block, and 50 feet of cable generally worked. You could pull from front, side, or back. A hi-lift jack is also useful, but requires some thought about storing an awkward piece of equipment. The whole setup is cheaper, lighter, and more versatile than a 12K winch mounted in one position. Does it require some work? Sure! But why are we out there?😊

I have a Grand Cherokee I'd love to have you guys test out at your property, maybe highlight some of the local fabricators, including those who helped me build it, or just put it against the new bronco!

Great episode. This piece of land and the courses you guys made never cease to amaze me. My suggestions for the obstacles:
    1) David's Dirty Drive
    2) Big Ditty Hill
    3 Nathan's crack is hilarious.
    4) Tumbleweed Trench
    5) Fork in the Road - Take It Trail! or Granny's Path & Granny's Grunt.
    6) To The Moon Pass
Thanks for the informative and entertaining vids. Keep em coming.

You guys need to come to 2022 and get a Yankum rope, you are stuck in the 1960s with that strap

We had kinetic ropes in the 70's. We called them stretch ropes. You can also use an old tire between two static ropes/chains/cables to achieve the same effect.

I have to say Tumbleweed is the best investment since the first camera Roman used to create The Fast Lane Car

I like the name David's been using for the over all track: The Back 40.
For obstacle 1, you mentioned a specific smell and it's a kinda messy drainage area, might I suggest Uncle Eddie's Drainage (think the Christmas Vacation Movie...).
For obstacle 2, that climb looks like something like a Big Horn Scramble to me.
Obstacle 4, the articulation one after Nathans' crack, might I suggest the Stretch Armstrong, as your articulating around a turn.
Obstacle 5, maybe The hills or the hole, for the two different sides. The hills you took this time and the hole that Tommy got stuck in.
Obstacle 6: Maybe just landslide... or it could be the Big Horn Scramble too.

As always excellent content. Obstacle #5 should be called Tommy’s Troubles.

You should partner up with yankum ropes. They are awesome! You can yank the vehicle that is stuck and they will stretch a little so you don’t jerk the vehicle you are towing. Would be a great sponsor for tumbleweed ranch!
