+CycleCruza this is not the place to troll business- you douche
Rise4justice
dont worry- i didnt...you cant ride ..saw that in 20 secs..
douchebags like you give bikes a bad name...
now go lowside yourself under a mack truck for the benefit of humanity...
we dont want nor need you in the gene pool..
fuckboy
+Bob Americana Showing appreciation and answeing questions that a lot of people ask as far as what jacket or what GoPro you use isn't trolling business. It's supporting what/who you utelize and helping out your fans, you goofy fuck.
+CycleCruza cyclecruza you're the man
+Sean Faulk Go to Lehigh Valley, PA. lol the roads there were actually voted the #1 worst roads in America 4 years in a row. lol North Eastern US roads are definitely trash though the salt and snow that they deal with doesn't help whatsoever.
you should make a shirt that says "dont get setup for a real fucked up day"
I was thinking that same thing !
I laugh every video cause of that
BearBoyGaming I'd buy that for sure haha. Should be this guys catch phrase lol.
BearBoyGaming there is one
I do all my braking after the corner, when I'm in the ditch.
I do all my breaking in my anus. With whopphy goldberg. Best street performance that way.
+Melvin Crabsocks Me too...
Melvin Crabsocks lmao
I get all my breaking sorted after the corner to. Generally at the hospital! Ambulances alright........free ride
Melvin Crabsocks Please daddy
:)))) ''Get the fuck outta there man'' to a squirrel...
"Fuck it, take that shit to the track" You've earned a sub and respect
Take it from an old fart with 44 years in the saddle..decelerate in..accelerate out..aim for the vanishing point..stay rt or lt of the center of your lane..(oil slick)..I wiggle the bars a little when facing oncoming traffic (the human eye responds to motion) and I have a headlight pulser module..and a highway blaster horn....finally..make peace with your maker before you hop in the saddle..
In those 44 years in the saddle, have you ever hit a deer?
No, but I nearly got knocked off my bike going 70 by a wild turkey. I caught the bird in the corner of my eye, knew the strike was unavoidable, held on tight. She hit me square in the chest then rolled over my shoulder. I knew it was a hen..my jacket was covered in bird s**t and splattered egg.
you know what you're talking about, good advice. I do everything you suggested and I try to stay somewhat close to the white line and if I can't see through the corner I'm not going to give it hell I try to follow that old motorcycle safety School rule look through the corner at where you want to be but if I can't see through the corner there just might be a damn bread truck stopped in the road happened to a friend of mine he was kind of new and had to put it down on the side of the road Luckily everything was okay for the most part
Whistling In The Wind I
Make peace with my mum and dad?

+CycleCruza so even experienced motogp riders who high side are "newbs" now?
+IdealSubject Seven yup. They made a newb mistake. They are so experienced they know why they high sided, and they also know they fucked up. Ive seen many videos whereby they have admitted it. But thats a different scenario. They will not high side on the road they are racing and pushing the bike beyond ita limit so its different stupid. No one pushes a bike to the limit on a fucking road stupid.
Brake hard while you are upright and gradually release as you enter a corner - One of the best tips I ever learned. Everyone who has a bike, try this. It will prevent you from crashing and allow you to ride faster.
+Knights2theEnd All your braking should be complete before you tip into the turn as you want to be applying positive throttle as you ride through the turn.
Kryten L I don't understand your point in relation to what I said
+Knights2theEnd You said brake hard and gradually release as you enter the corner, implying you're still braking into the corner ..I said finish your braking before you enter the corner and start to tip the bike in.
Kryten L Everything will be gradual regardless since people are not machines however ideally, like you said, all braking should be done before entering the corner.
+Kryten L that's what I've done for the last three years but recently I've been leaving the brake on just a little longer as I turn in. it seems to keep the front forks compressed and stop them from rebounding as I turn. I ride a yamaha xj6 diversion so not the greatest suspension ever. and doing this seems to stop it from feeling as vague in the corner which is a problem on my bike. not sure if that's just my bike or a general thing

Heh... I crashed at the track this weekend. And that did plenty of damage to the bike and my gear, but no telephone poles, SUVs or fences to hit.
this guy is a grown up, take note ☝️☝
+Cali not everyone can be max wrist . accept your own riding level
Can't beat the track!!🙌🏽 Corner workers ready to help ambulance on the tough corners and ready to help, no sand, no cops, no speeding tickets .... shall I continue !? Haha 😛 The way to go if you have the time and the money imho❤️👊🏽
This man speaks the truth.
1. Have no clue what they are doing. 2. Are on way more bike than they can handle. 3. Have not taken any training courses with no plans to. 4. Think you can ride in the street the same way ride on the track. 5. Hang out with other morons who don't keep an eye on the newbees, who themselves in most cases have zero clues (blind leading the blind) and are crashes waiting to happen.
if you have seen how guys in Indonesia ride, you would be amazed how they're still alive...
as a rider who is born in Indonesia, i never had any prior training or anything (we make driving licenses by bribing, yeah), but i do read books and watch videos on how to handle a bike when commuting or when i'm racing
in my 5 years of riding, i've only fallen off from a bike 7 times, never 3 from my stupidity and 4 cuz of other people, in case you are wondering, i have never high sided until today (and hopefully never)
sry for the text wall, i hope you understood what i was saying
Ride safe and smart bro
GeoFry3 I was at a dealer. A guy came in who bought a 650 without any training. He didn't buy any gear except a helmet. His whole left leg was torn up.

*NEW VIDEO:* Why Radar Detectors are a WASTE of $ and USELESS for Motorcycles: ruclips.net/video/Pivy5pS8sO8/видео.html
When I was a newb, I crashed 3 times. All of them at relatively low speeds. The first time was target fixation. The second time was sun in my eyes and I couldn't see the car in front of me and rear ending the car. The third was getting run off the road by a truck turning left without seeing me coming. All 3 times were on the same bike, with the 2nd time resulting in replacing the upper fork tubes. That was all in the first 2 months.
The bike I was riding was a Honda Rebel 250. I now ride a KZ750 LTD with a lot more power and have learned how to avoid such incidents and be a lot more alert about cars turning left, and now I slow down when the sun is in my eyes. I never ride at a speed beyond what I can reliably and safely stop at.

You wont high side from grabbing the front brake, you'll low side. High side is where the rear loses traction, then grips again and throws you off.
Spot on. Its very possible to control and regain control after a front brake lock up. It takes a lot of skill and luck to save yourself from an impending highside.
+Sam Grattan I said COULD cause a high side, it depends on the situation. If you come into a corner too hot and the rear tire starts to slide and you panic and grab all front brake along with trying to overcompensate, you can end up high siding. There is not just one way to high-side. lol

Top reasons motorcyclists crash:
1) ego-riding
2) lack of experience
3) lack of knowledge - ask a new rider, a babes ride out participant, or 30 yr harley guy what counter-steering is ;)
+gsa1973 people think i'm full of shit when i try and explain counter steering haha
+bassisgood I know I have been asked by a new rider who bought a R6 asked me when she needs to counter steer!!!! I said oh my goodness I think that R6 is too much for you lol.
+bassisgood No kidding. Sometimes I make a couple of bucks off of the non-believers.
Most common crashes involving just the motorcyclist are the rest of failure to negotiate a turn.
Can someone explain counter steering for me? I am new and I dont understand the YT Tutorials. So when I am going in a right turn I just push my right bar gently and then a little bit to the right whil leaning to the right.
Yup, it's freaking dangarous out there ... people out there checking their smartphones ... I don't want to end up paralyzed or dead. :)

A minute and a half in, it hits me, you're the Bill Burr of motorcycle vlogging
hahahahahaha your soo funny when you screamed when the dear crossed the road!
Damn corners. I got too ballsy and tried to blow a tiny cul-de-sac at 30 mph and ended up with the neighbor's mailbox on my windshield. Lol
+Karen Garcia Do tell more about this plz. Also, do you have any pics? I target fixated a curb once coming off an interstate exit and I just so happened to remember the fundamentals and stared down the road I needed to be traveling and the bike took it from there. I thought about it as I rolled on the throttle and heads turned as I my FZ6 hit 9K RPM. I was proud I didn't eat up that curb.
*NEW VIDEO: What NOBODY Tells You Before Getting a Motorcycle:* ruclips.net/video/UaPU3pMSvj4/видео.html
dude, I've noticed you're riding to close to the middle line marking in some of the bends. Your bike is on your side of the road, but your body (because you're leaning out) is on the oncoming side of the road. Watch out not to get clipped.
you obviously don't ride

Just 2 tips for you sir even tho I can give you more from my observation - one, you do NOT use clutch with all four fingers , THATS for newbs ( aka squids) two, when you were stopped behind that van, you should be in gear watching behind you for cars that might not stop and you shouldn't sit right behind the center of van you should of been to right by road line so you have somewhere to go if another car doesn't stop and rear ends you, you don't get crushed between vehicles
I'm glad I ran into this video. Im a new rider. I was seriously considering a 1000cc bike, but not anymore! thanks!
Juan Panecatl go for it. if ur not an idiot its gonna be fine.
I started on my brother zx6r 1998, then bought a 2005 gsxr1000. The 1000 is way too much bike for full throttle, but works better on high ways. Now I am looking for a bike I the future, and will be considering 600 or 750cc bikes. The part I like about the superstore is throttle response and engine smoothness at super high RPM. And always ride smart. If with a group, don't try to keep up if your levels not there. Don't ride with idiots.

target fixation is one of the biggest issues
+CycleCruza I don't ride like a bat of hell every time I'm on the road, but there are times when I take advantage of the power and handling of my bike.....that's the point of a bike. There are times and places where its perfectly safe to give it some....the trick is knowing when are where you can do it safely and unfortunately most riders don't as evidenced by accident statistics.
+Kryten L You can easily edge out traffic if you just stay aware. You can manage traffic pileups and get home 2+ hours ahead of car drivers if you just play it safe watch everything around you. Someone will always let you in. Just identify and avoid the envious and you'll be fine. Some people will hate.

Sir, quick question. Do you recommend the Harley Davidson kind of bike for new riders? BTW very nice video.
+Cesar Lazo I always recommend small lightweight 250's or 300's because they will help you gain confidence faster. Some of the harleys are super heavy and a bit cumbersome to handle for a new rider but the smaller harleys would probably be fine.
883 would be perfect
+CycleCruza i don't agree, Everyone is different. Some people learn fast some slow, Everything is not for every one. My tall ass would be caught on a 300cc motorcycle. Its like buying a small car you can't fit in. Its very uncomfortable to me.
to b honest it's whatever the rider prefers. Harley or Sport it's the riders preference
+CycleCruza thats wierd because i know a few people that went straight to litter bikes and were fine. still are till this day
I do elbow slides in my driveway
Fucking dogs chase me on my bike all the time. Some have gotten really close because my bike only goes 32mph. Got to be ready to kick.
+mrcaptaincrazy reason I carry strong pepper spray with red dye in it that shoots up to 20 ft. lol
Hammer Smith Spray the bastard with Fox 5.0 spray and it won't mess you anymore. lol
+CycleCruza I need to get that pepper spray and keep it in the cup holder. Goddam gaint German Shepherd scared the shit out of me. Though I was being attacked by a wolf.
+mrcaptaincrazy be like sub delinquents Buddie he carry's a mini baseball bat on his bike
kicking throws you off balance and might make you crash. in case ya didn't know.

FYI - How to Ride Motorcycle in Rain:
ruclips.net/video/dzPcrnKeHKc/видео.html
New Riders should buy a bike that fits their height and weight. If the guy is 200lbs+ & over 6'2" then a super sport maybe his best choice. I have rode with girls barely 5 feet tall riding Busa(S) as a first bike with not issues... why ? cause most girls have a different mentality (approach) to the vehicle. The *Issue* is the *mentality* of the ryder... not the power of the bike
+nuffflavor True, but even a level headed individual can be spooked or caught off guard; a twist of the wrist or too much brake can bring an inexperienced rider down fast.
Also, muscle memory plays a big role with reaction time and safety, and that comes with time spent on the road.
I do agree that somebody who tends to be a reckless risk taker shouldn't jump on a liter bike right away.
Michael D Yeah man, there are plenty of videos on this site with Newbies crashing simple mopeds, dirt bikes and other low CC motorcycles. You should know that no matter what is under you... a wrong twist of the wrist and you will send that 2-wheeler flying. :)
Yeah, but a hard twist on a scooter or a 125 (my first bike, back in the stone age) will drop you on your butt at 15 mph. Do the same thing on a liter bike and you might be doing 60 before you fall off.
All good stuff. Another that I'll add is: When riding those scenic twisty roads, ride the speed that enables you to stop within the amount of road that's visible to you. In obscured bends, you gotta ask yourself, "can I stop safely in the amount of road I see?" If the answer is "no," then you're 'trusting' there won't be any crap on the road, or a deer, or an accident scene. If you're going on trust, you give up control.
Is cyclecruza black? Not trying to be racist just curious lol
I think he is but that's cool by me I've really never met a black man on a crotch rocket I didn't like they're cool not arrogant like some of those Puerto Rican boys that I have met here in Tampa Florida but that's okay if you want to be an ass I don't have to talk to you
He's white.
+Frost Bite I don't know, has anyone met CycleCruza? I'd like to go to Cleveland and ride with him
***** He's shown his arms before, he's completely white.
Frost Bite
opportunist take any chance to pull the race card.
Great video CycleCruza, I agree with everything you said in the video. People need to make sure they ride THEIR ride and don't try to do what they cannot yet. Slow progression is the safest way.
Only morons use the front brake in a turn...... lol
And racers. Most all of them.
It's called trail braking.
+ChasinAces on a clean track yes..... He's not talking about track riding... Trail breaking on the streets is not a good idea, you never know what kind of gravel or sand is around the next corner.
"Around the next corner" ?
You clearly don't know what trail braking is or how and why and when it works.
It is effective on the street as well.
You should watch this video a few more times tho. It has a lot of good tips for you.
Yup a little rear break to kick it then throttle out. Then you have a chance to say damn that was close, instead of saying call 911... LOL
you dont starts braking in the turn you start before and "exchange" braking for lean angle as you start cornering, it helps the bike enter the corner easier
Really enjoying your vids sir. You have a level headed and sensible amount of jack-assery I find very respectable. No searching out or chasing down problems for the sake of footage and hit potential. Entertaining and informative. Keep em coming man Thanks!
Thanks for the video. Today was my first day on a bike (I was taking a safety course to get my endorsement) and while I wiped out for breaking in a low speed turn trying to come to a stop, I was afraid of doing counter steering in 2nd gear because I didn't want to fall off again. Riding coach said we have to break when we turn but didn't clarify that you had to break before the turn opposed to when you're already in the turn... You explained it well and made it simple to understand. Thanks!
You are one of the most informing motovloggers for newbies. Seems like everyone else is online for a laugh. I really appreciate all you do and the time you put in just to teach us somethings. Thanks dude and keep the videos coming homie.
Man, you've helped me consider so many things, I have about 2 years until I can even get my license but your channel has taught me so much about gear and riding and all of that.
This is one of the best bike videos I've ever seen bro. I'm gonna take MSF soon, I'm just getting started. It's guys like you that make getting a bike feel even more exciting, not scary, and like we have some resources to learn how to stay safe and ride better. Props bro.
Cyclecruza bro...thanks so much for helping me learn how to ride a cycle. You have really made me feel confident, and helped me with my journey to be a safe rider. I can enjoy the freedom that riding gives me because of your awesome videos! I can't thank you enough. You FREAKIN' ROCK dude. I just completed a ride from Denver to Aspen!
love your mindset, just started riding with a 2017 z650. listening to experienced riders is key to not have a fucked up day ! Greetz from Germany
I really appreciate your videos, insight, and sensibility. I just got a '15 Yamaha R3 after having a '04 Ninja 250 stolen back in '09 so about 6-7 years without riding so I signed up for the MSF class coming up this weekend but had a lot of folks giving me shit for not just winging it and learning on my own again and waiting 2 weeks for a class while the bike chilled in my garage. Your videos make me feel a lot better about my discretion!
dude I been riding for years but brother I love the videos I been preaching safety to my friends till my head turned blue thanks for helping to keep safe riding alive
I only have two rules that have kept me alive in my 34 years of biking. Always be aware of my surroundings (front, sides and rear), and always think for other road users (predict what their next action could be)...
This is really good advice. Us old timers know all this common sense stuff but newbies don't think about this stuff. You may have saved a life! I've been riding for 40 years but I still watch these videos because I might learn something from someone else. No one knows it all and can always learn something new that might make a difference on the next ride! Ride Safe Bro!
U hit the nail on the head!
I totally agree my brother! That's one of the best tips I received PERIOD from the MSF new rider course. Don't brake in a turn! As you said, do all your braking BEFORE the turn. And the twofold meaning is the bike is more stable and at it's most natural gyroscopic position while accelerating. So slowing before the turn, giving you the ability to ACCELERATE through the turn will actually make you the most stable. Good advice. I've been subbed for a while. Keep doing what you do my brother.
I'm at almost 30 years on 2, and I have to say that your advice was VERY SOLID. If you're new, pay very close attention to what he's talking about. It'll save your life!!!
Mad respect to you dude! Been your subscriber for a few years already. Learnt a lot of stuff! Thank you so much! I'm gonna be moving onto a bigger bike this year hopefully a Ducati 848 EVO or a Yamaha R6 or R1. Been riding a lower cc bike for these 2 years since I'm living in Singapore and the rules for riding motorcycles here is different. All your tips really have helped me all these years while I'm out here riding on the streets. Once again thank you!! :)
+UltimateAveda Thanks man I appreciate it. Awesome to hear you're enjoying the motorcycle life. Best of luck to you!
I don't own a motorcycle or ever plan to and I have never ridden one, I have got to 30mph on a straight away on a cheap mountain bicycle. I just like to listen and watch because it gets my mind of everything else thank you.
Love the way your channel promotes rider safety man!
The way you say "Fucked up day" kills me every time. 😂
Just started watching your videos. I love how honest you are about things, especially about your near accidents. Thanks for sharing! I've subscribed!
Respect. A rider who recognizes his limits. fun vids man
you sir have a level head on your shoulders and a pleasure to watch from one sportbiker to another
That blood-curdling scream at 2:21 is so hilarious. I've lopped that shit at least 50 times. Subbed.
Cruza, just been looking at video crashes and noticed that the majority are rider error. I'm starting g on a 600RR but I'm no hot dagger. I respect my machine and the fact I have no protection when I'm riding. I try to keep it at the speed limit and people fly by me as if I should be going faster. I do appreciate your videos and all the info. I practice safe riding every opportunity I get. I'll keep being safe. Keep up the videos.
Riding a sports bike its like riding a skateboard or long board in the street or sidewalk you have to be watching everything at all times if not its a disaster
“Take it to the track.”
Video is old but it doesnt matter, it's legit advice. You just got a sub.
Love your videos! Not watching them can set anyone up for a real f**ked up day, thanks for sharing your wisdom.
Right on brother those are the best words I heard anybody say in all my days of riding, think you this could possibly save some new riders from biting it.
I've got tons of respect for you man. Such good advice in every vid. Keep up the great work Cycle!!
Track is 100.....one track day is worth a year's street experience....learn your trade...respect the advice..love you CC
Good advice bro to all riders. Some years ago, a friend of mine would just blast through mountain roads. I was always afraid that he would run into elk or deer. Very bad.... Best to go fast primarily in the straights where you can see better.
Thank you for all these useful tips and thank you for your vids in general! I bought my first motorcycle recently, and all your videos are of real help to me. Keep up the good work and ride safe)
I'm starting on an ebike. I've been waiting over a year for a 250 dual sport and this shipping problem isnt going away. Said f it got an ebike get a moto next year
"If you break in a corner, the bike will lift itself up, and that can end up setting you up for a real fucked up day"
Thank you for this episode. You touched on some obvious dangers I am always trying to warn new riders about.
Most of which also apply to driving cars as well. Such as do not brake in a turn and how unpredictable public. roads can be. Never speed through a blind turn or even over a blind horizon.
Great video.
I do as many track days as I can each year and that helps subside my need for speed on the road.
Honestly I'd recommend everyone to do the same, as learning your limits on a track is better than finding those limits climbing out of a ditch after taking a corner too wide having to avoid an oncoming car.
I like this advice very much.
keeping us newbies "safe" thanks cruza! You da man.
Hi CycleCruza! Just stumbled this video when I research 2012 Cbr1000rr, I sold my starter 600 yamaha and I found a great cbr1000rr deal on craigslist for 8800, and I probably wanna get that, and when I watch you having a blast with this I am sure to take that. Thanks for making the videos, and I am planning to make Vlogs in indonesian (my first language) even though I live in USA. Keep being an inspiration! Ride fun and safe!
note camera blocking the speedo... lol Thanks for all the points you're making in this - I totally agree! Riding in Canada is the same - especially have to watch in the spring (gravel/sand) and fall (leaves). Ride safe! Cheers!
just realized that i've been saying your line of "having a fucked up day" lol been watching your vids toooo damn much
I can relate to the track bug from cars, can't wait until I get my bike on the track. Expensive hobbies!!
If you use the front brake leaning into a bend the front wheel will slide out from under you. This is called a Lowside, as you are low to the ground sliding out. A Highside happens when you are exiting a corner and you hit the gas to hard while still leaning around the bend. This will make the back wheel spin up, then grip again causing the back of the bike to flip up in the air throwing you off Highside. So as per the really good advice in this video. Do ALL of your slowing down and braking before you enter the bend/corner, and very gentle on the throttle/gas coming out until the bike is upright enough to blast away. CycleCruza, very informative video, well done, and keep up the good work. I wish more bikers would pass on their knowledge and experience to new riders as you are doing. Just one thing though. Please try to hold onto the hand grips a bit more. A little rock on the road, or a pothole could have you off. (you may think it sounds stupid, but think about it) Ride Safe Always.
