- Hi guys, here I showed up “how to fix the processor isn’t supported for this version of Windows 11” or “This PC doesn't currently meet Windows 11 system requirements”.
I have created this tutorial only for educational and experimental purposes, but please keep in mind that apply this method at you own responsibility.

This is pretty much the same reason I am on a mission to upgrade to Windows 11 also. Fingers crossed this works. This is the ONLY issue I've ran into with my i7-7700HQ processor in the 4 years I've had it.

IT WORKS!!! On the official installer. Instead of deleting, I changed the name of the appraiserres.dll file to appraiserres.dll.old. Before I clicked [Accept] the license, I changed the name back to appraiserres.dll. Successfully installed, Windows 11 installed. My CPU i5-7500, Thank you Bro.

@@rozzujr7282 Yes, on my PC i5-7500, MB Gigabyte GA-Z170X-Gaming 7, 16GB Ram SSD M.2 512GB : The first hours of work and testing seem to be faster than win10. We'll see how it will be later.
I have an i74770k and it isn't supported with for the Windows 11 update. What could potentially go wrong if you attempt any work around, even the one that Microsoft provides?
That didn't work unfortunately on my Surface Pro 4 Core i5, I still get the processor message after deleting the dll and rerunning the exe.
Try copying the files over to internal hard drive and disabling the internet. Then give it a go. You should run the PC health check app to know what is compatible and what isn’t. If everything is supported but processor then this video will work for you but if it says you don’t have secure boot or it’s not on and your TPM is not 2.0 then you could download a modded version of windows 11 from the internet in which the modder have disabled secure boot & TPM options, so it bypasses Microsoft’s requirements.

@@winnmoon2841 I installed Windows 11 on a i5-7200 processor and it is working fine and i am getting the updates for now. I heard the updates may stop in future for those whose pc isn't compatible with windows 11. So it's upto you. I am enjoying it for now.
Everyone keeps talking about Secure Boot and TPM 2.0 issues, but this is the video that I needed for old CPU issues for Windows 11 requirements. I meet all requirements except the CPU. I have the same CPU, btw, as you: Intel I-5 7200U from NTC which does not meet Windows 11 requirements. I currently have the latest Windows 11 pre-release 22468 build from Windows Insider, but I need to update to the final release which is available now to all Windows Insiders. I hope this works.

This worked well for me, but like others, I had to select the option to not download updates. The other thing I did differently was removing the appraiserres.dll file directly from my usb thumb drive instead of copying the contents to a separate folder. Thanks for the video!

If you pc meets the minimum requirements for windows 11 then you will eventually get an update for windows 11.
Try switching off internet and start setup for those who it didn't work. Rest just follow exactly whats shown

I had this problem also with my "2,20 gigahertz Intel Core i5-5200U" CPU. In order to perform this trick I had to stop the interface with the connection to the Internet. But then the PC was updated in around 45 minutes. After starting Windows 11, updates were downloaded and installed without any problem.

Once you bypass the minimum requirements and install windows 11, it treats the windows 11 like any other windows version and gives you updates and so on. Not to worry.

I know, I have the same issue mine is a Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6700 CPU @ 3.40GHz 3.40 GHz which is in the Microsoft supported processor list, and I still got the CPU not supported error. Everything else in my PC is okay but that. So, how is that even right!? Makes no sense!
@@lpsalsaman Yes I meet all the other requirements except for the CPU! its a three year old laptop with top of the range specs that I paid over £1000 for and they're basically telling me its already obsolete.
@@katakisLives This is why I'm not upgrading yet, because I'm sure there are more people like you and I, who meet the requirements but for some odd reason are getting this error. Unless Microsoft explain itself as to why CPU's in their supported list, show as if they are not compatible or not supported.

Did you use the Install Assistant to do it ? What happened to your Data and files ? like games, pics, vids, docs, softwares ,etc....?
i try that and nothing is deleted or changed. everything is stayed as i left it.
@@Keriarty so did you use Install assistant or ISO ? And was your hardware unsupported?
If you are updating then you have the option to keep files and apps or remove. If you chose to keep all files and apps everything will be same as before. The only change will be the new windows 11 you just installed. Your settings, icons will be the exact same as you left it.
Awesome thanks man!! But one thing, did exactly as you said in the video. Upon entering windows 11 setup though I had to click on "do not download recommended updates and drivers at this time." Otherwise it was still saying my PC wasn't fit for Windows 11. As soon as setup was completed I was able to update windows.

True. even on my 6700k i enabled ftpm since long and I was using secure boot. My only question remains is that whether security updates will get downloaded or not over time on older CPUs
@@Eren-da-Jaeger security updates seem to be disabled. At least according to Microsoft. We'll know with next release if updates show up. But in my opinion I think we'll get the updates regardless if your device is fully supported or not.
@@Eren-da-Jaeger Its sad to have Tpm 2.0 and every off the other stuff , but not letting you update because of old CPU , I think they need to let people update if they have tpm 2.0

Most people who bought a pc with Windows 10 installed usually have the other stuff. The CPU is the real problem!
Its working. For people who getting some kind of error, please note file name is "appraiserres.dll" and its 190kb or so in size. If you delete any other file with similar name, it wont work. Disable the internet connection.
I'm pretty sure I deleted the same file you mentioned but it still says processor not supported
When you start process make sure net connection is off
@@mahodayvishal Yes, now that you mention it. If youy leave internet on, the windows will check the policy and give same error. Disconnect the net connection.

The new iso files still say cpu is not supported if you let it check for updates, simply get to that step before installing and click check for updates later

I thought "why copy paste the sources folder and why not directly delete that dll file from the installation folder in the flash drive?" and I deleted it from the flash drive (It does not go to recycle bin. It is deleted for good) I started the set up and guess what? error message. I really don't have the time to download that 27 gb of file. Maybe I will try it another time. Thanks.
In my case, I have to disconnect my internet during installation because while the installation on updating process, Microsoft confirm that the processor is not compatible. Then I repeat the installation without internet connection and all done perfectly.

An update: I can't install windows 11 stable over the insider, I don't know what things cause it, but it worked if you clean install the os from bootable media, even if your cpu is not supported yet 🔥

My interest in this is better WSLg support in Win11, by simply typing in a supervisor command line "wsl --install". Does graphical interface for linux apps work, or broken, after this process?

Worked my man. Great job. Super easy.
First i tried to install via usb after deleting the file but same error then I followed the first step to copy the win 11 setup files over to desktop (internal hard drive), then ran the setup after that it worked like a charm.
