    I love that you like our quesillos! I haven’t had one in Nicaragua in over 20 years but my mother and I make them here in MD. We finally found the right cheese to use they go in the bag too!

    I miss Nicaragua. Won't be going anytime soon due to coronavirus. The dictatorship won't acknowledge coronavirus and it's really bad right now.

    Thank you so much for giving us some glimpse of Nicaragua. I'm not a fan of uncooked plantain. However, when you cook it like boiled or fried, it's delicious. It's melt-in-your-mouth. I hate you! You made me drool!

I would like to clear something out,with all due respect, pupusas are originally from El Salvador, is not from our country, we made them, but not that famous. Again, thank you for taking your time doing this video and saying wonderful thing , about my Nicaragua.

    I appreciate times when you don't assume prior-learning (habit of an excellent teacher, IMO) and tell us things like "Ya don't eat the plantain leaf". ( I was going to share an embarrassing example from my youth and inexperience, but I will instead just say THANK YOU!!!!) LOLOL

    During the war in 1988 I was vacationing very unexpectedly in Managua. I know that sounds weird but I was the ugly American mom who did not have time to read newspapers or watch the news. I was there with a friend for 10 days. The only food we could access was black beans, rice and cabbage with a watered down limonada. It makes me sad what has been happening there politically now.

    Quesillos look gross

    • @myy93
      @myy93 3 месяца назад

      It's just corn tortilla, pickled onions, quesillo (a type of cheese similar to mozzarella), sour cream and salt, that's all.

    • @datznunayabeeznus8865
      @datznunayabeeznus8865 3 месяца назад

      @myy93 still gross. The cheese is like a fermented thing

    • @myy93
      @myy93 3 месяца назад

      @@datznunayabeeznus8865 Well, it's not... but I understand you, in your country probably you only eat processed and chemical food, so you would never understand the taste of a good natural cheese like quesillo until you try it 😘
