    At least Sima Yan is wise and has enough humanity to realize his own mistake. Yuan Shao would have killed Shi Bao just to save his face.

    Wars with Wu? Inconclusively over... Rebellions in Qinliang? This is gonna be a fun side quest for Sima Yan and the MVP of the Jin government in this very lengthy and deadly underrated conflict of the Last Two Standing Kingdoms!

    From my memory of the Book of Jin...
    Shi Chong?
    I also vaguely remember a story (also Book of Jin? Or maybe your Three Kingdoms Sima Jun Records Mode) where Shi Chong was killed by a plot led by Celestial Master-follower Sun Xiu.

    So many times in the novel you have something happen because 2 characters are from the same commandery or town. It's almost a cliche, but it actually happened!

    • @SeriousTrivia

      It still happens today in society. Because China is so big, if you are from the same place, it means something

    I guess this is probably a stupid question but how did jin get troops to Jaozhi? I assumed it would have been difficult to send troops via shu, or are the passes between the two relatively easy to traverse?

    Hey Serious Trivia,
    1. I am curious is Sun Hao's palace still stands to this day?
    2. How brutal is Sun Hao? Is he like Joffrey Baratheon or Ramsay Bolton from Game of Thrones?
    3. Will you cover Sun Hao's brutally in complete detail in your future lets talk lore series?

      2. 3. We will cover this in the surrender of Wu series

    Did Sun Shuo get rewarded for this? I feel like he took a risk informing Shi Bao. If Shi Bao was actually trying to defect, he would have killed Sun Shuo.

    • @SeriousTrivia
      @SeriousTrivia  20 дней назад +2

      Eventually worked his way to the department of state affairs but not exactly as a reward for this. Honestly this type of stuff will never get rewarded. From the Jin court perspective if Shi Bao was actually rebelling then he was revealing state secret to the enemy. He shouldn’t be rewarded for making a judgment call on matters of potential treason.
