The only online memory I've retained from this game was racing on this track against someone who I could just NOT catch up with... they were driving as a heavy weight Mii so I'm not surprised but their Mii had a face that looked like a butt and the sounds it made sounded like farting. It was a combination of frustrating and hilarious.
Coming back here after the recent update with Mario Kart Tour. Can't believe they ruined the uniqueness of Bowser's Castle 3. This one stood out from the rest of the GBA Bowser Castles as you get to drive at the exterior of his castle. Mario Kart Tour just took that away by taking the lazy route and reusing Bowser Castle 1's background, making it blend it with the crowd. I swear, if this stage were to ever return in the Booster Course Pass, or a future Mario Kart game, they better get the details right as the original and Wii.
It's a good thing that this track will never come to the Booster Course Pass. It would've looked so boring and generic. If they were to ever bring this course back to a future Mario Kart installment, I hope they keep this background, but make it HD and give it the dynamic elevation treatment like they did with SNES Bowser Castle 3 in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.
Instead GBA Bowser's Castle 4 was the unique one in Tour, and you'd almost thought it'd make it into the BCP before SNES Bowser Castle 3 was revealed for Wave 6 instead.

This is my least favorite Bowser Castle track in Wii The track does not have an interesting design as it is from the Game Boy but the music and atmosphere are a big stand out N64 version comes in 2nd Wii version comes in 1st
@@ktown1228 Still, Sonic zones don't go beyond 2 acts, and acts in Sonic games are nothing different than a checkpoint after a boss. Variants in the Mario Kart series are courses with multiple layouts which are seperate from each other. The most course variants in a mainline Mario Kart game is 4, and the most in Mario Kart Tour is 16.

At least they redeemed themselves with that godlike Bowser’s Castle 4. I sincerely hope it comes as a retro to the next game
