The level of detail you go into in your product development phase is actually amazing.
This guy has changed my life! Now I am addicted to Mei Leaf & other fine teas😂 Thanks Don for all the information & great videos, I've watched every single video you have! So quick, Don create more content please. Definitely need to see more Tea Trip documentaries 🤗 I will show my appreciation by purchasing your delicious teas! Thanks for giving me a new hobby & life long infatuation with teas & tea culture! Greetings from Naples, Florida😉
Nicholas Welcome to the World of Tea! Greets from Texas.
We need a Mei Leaf mobile app (hint, hint) 😁
exactly!
Can't believe they still haven't made one. I'd help out lol
@@overratedprogrammer I would help out as well I was literally thinking about this the other day will program for my tea fix XD
I’m glad I watched this one. Never knew how much went into these
Just moved to Camden London last week! Walked past Meileaf on my first commute, shall be popping in to try some Matcha very soon!
I love those tins and their practical but beautiful design! But I would love to have different colour options.
Yes, I have the original Chinalife ones, they are much prettier!
Don went from a DJ to a Tea-J. ;)
🍵😂
Oh my goodness. The details that went into these tins, and how they fit the stickers from the box, is incredible. Absolutely amazing!
I always wondered how come you're sometimes using "EQ", "trebles" and other musical terms in your descriptions. Now it makes sense, you were a DJ 😄🎶🎵 I'm a musician myself and find tembers very much alike tea spectrum of tasting notes. Great work, I really appreciate you sharing your knowledge so generously!!
💗 Mei Leaf 💗 My favourite time of the week is when the new ML video is online :) Great video again!
Oh my word! I appreciate the obsessive amount of detail that went into the tins and labels. Just awesome!
Love the attention to detail that went into these tins and labels. Wish the tins were square though, would be more space efficient. Also not huge on the aesthetics but I’m very happy to learn the stickers are repealable without the terrible mess some leave behind
Thank you for this awesome how to!
Absolutely brilliant! ❤❤
Wow, you guys really put a lot of thought into these! I love it. :D (But really, you guys do with everything.) I really appreciate you guys making the stickers. :) Great idea! I had always cut the front part of the box with the name of the tea and then the back with the brewing parameters out and then taped them to my storage containers. So, it was not as pretty as it can be now. haha I love how these tins look. I need to get them. A organized, uniform tea collection would be pretty satisfying.
My Cupboard is filled with 1lb retort pouches of tea. Resealable. I gave up the tins because I just have way too many teas and always getting more. But I'm like you under special circumstances. The tins look nice BTW.
Wow...Impressive how much thought was put into these! Well designed! Thank you Don. I will have to pick some up on my next purchase.
Great - very usefui system to get an organized tea collection.
Brilliant. Just ordered last night.
Wonderful! I just wanted to add some feedback on the design, I don't really like the color mismatch with the lid and I would like some more color options too.
Also some solid color ones might be more adaptable to different house design. I also have some covered in japanese paper with flowers, that looks amazing
this is fantastic! will b so much easier to organise tea. great work!
Yep ---- I have OCD AS WELL 😁😂🤣😅-- HELLO Caroline. 😍😍😍
Square tins holding the same amount of tea would take up 20% less shelf space.
square tins make for uneven distributed humidity.
The tins are so nice. They make it very uniform and compact. I'm def getting some on my next order
edit: i would suggest making slighty bigger ones for bulk orders of tea :))
Hi. Do you have a label creator in the app or online where you can create labels in the Mei Leaf format but for other tea brands (and then print them to Avery labels)?
Awesome, been looking for something like this. What are the dimensions of each tin (with and without the lid)?
This is smart, I better get cracking!
omg I love it! So practical.
Hey Don, I don’t think you guys already do this, tell me if you do, but it would be cool if you have these labels on your website so we can type it up, and make a beautiful label like yours.
These tea vids are great.
Very nice shirt, Don!
Now if I could buy your printed labels for my boxes of Mei leaf tea that I have (about 30)
That would be a Go. ??? Better yet-printable files. Just a Thought.
Awesome video
What humidity packs do you recommend for which teas?
recently ordered some tins. they're awesome and the stickers are a great idea :)
do the lids fit tightly? I know he said to squeeze the tin when you put the lid on to help this.
@@benjaminvanwey1385 they fit just fine
@@MarinaC2112 excellent. thank you.
@@benjaminvanwey1385 they also stack up nicely
Is there any tea which has a "best before" date?
I wonder if it would be “safe” to store tea in the kitchen (safe from smells etc) when stored in such tins or sealed pouches. Does anyone have experience?
I organise them in the stomach. My kidneys further organise them for me.
LOL
Do Mei Leaf ship to Australia?
Yes!
How do you handle the storage of compressed tea?
Wow.
I wish the shipping to the u.s. wasn't so expensive :( I want to try your products so badly
How do I add the teas I bought in your store (not online)? There is no option to select Meileaf teas if they are not bought online I think.
If you scan your membership QR code when you make a purchase it happens automatically otherwise you can enter the unlock codes.
Yeah, tea storage is pain. I got more than 100 different teas, different amount, common, rare, one of a kinds and so on. But I'd rather order a package of 20 finest teas from Japan than buy a 100 tins. I collect resealable packages from teas that are done and use them for teas that don't have that luxury.
On a computer I just keep a list of all teas I have, and keep track which are open, how much grams left and how many infusions is that.
I'm confused about a tea like a raw puerh. From what I understand with my very limited knowledge, such a tea is still active (or alive so to speak) and so continuing to age and mature. And that you therefore generally want to store it in such manner that it continues to be able to breath (such as wrapping it in paper). If, on the other hand, you break up some of your raw puerh cake and store that portion in an airtight tin container - does this then "fix" that portion of the tea so that it stops continuing to mature and evolve? And is this the same with ripened and cooked puerhs - or am just very confused about all this? I would very much appreciate anyones help with this. Thank you.
Hi. Thanks for your question about storage. We have made a video already about how to store PuErh tea for ageing (ruclips.net/video/WcrfiXVYjeo/видео.html). Essentially all tea is always ageing but PuErh and Whites have been processed in a way to make them age quicker and more favourably. You can slow and speed up ageing through oxygen, temperature and humidity. So, if you keep airtight on a cool dry place then it will age very slowly maintaining more of the fresh tea character and vice versa. You can mix things up by breaking a cake and airing differently and you can always change during the ageing by changing conditions.
Oh and in terms of raw vs ripe, the effect of ageing is different with ripe becoming smoother without changing flavour as much as raw. You can watch this video for more information ruclips.net/video/Njpr7xtLWso/видео.html
Just added my tea to your site. Thanks for such an amazing tool :)
I love the new tins, I use them for all teas and put my own labels on :-) I have not tried it on phone though, I just open my cupboard and say - what do you fancy? I use white labels AVERY L473REV and are near perfect for the front space. They are easily removable. I use little colored dot labels for corner of the AVERY label to immediately know what tea type it is. Very organized cupboard now :-) Very little effort.
I have to wonder how much of the price we pay for a packet of tea is the cost for that fancy packaging with the sticker etc..?
lmao I can't believe there's a tea called duck shit
these black lits are very loose sitting, that was a failed purchase :(
Great Xie Xie
why so much plastic ? especially when it comes in contact with the tea ? In germany we have a big global player named TeeGschwendner and their packaging is beautiful and consist of three layers: Paper Aluminum foil and again paper.
Did he say it was optimized for Avery labels!!! (Sorry organizations nerd)
I had no idea that there were stickers on the boxes, so when i saw this i literally went to get the box out of the trashcan so i could use it :D genius idea, guess i should have read the tincan description better :P
Those tins have a lot of versitilitea
The subtitles are wildly off. 😓
You used to be a DJ?!?! 😯
I would order these if the shipping wasn't so expensive .
Don, where is the evidence of you being a DJ? I would pay money to see you mixing some vinyl at the club
😳😳😳Nope😳Not gonna happen😳
Happened- I’m such a WEAK person😅
Oh my word! I appreciate the obsessive amount of detail that went into the tins and labels. Just awesome!
