How much is bed liner compared to spray paint? I'm not sure never bought bed liner before but I think he is going as cheap as possible, and spray paint is pretty cheap. But yeah, bed liner is a good idea!
@@rocksjoshua Depends, if you go with something like the spray kit from Raptor Liner its around $200 maybe $250 (depending on the amount you need obviously). An actual paint job would cost at least $1000-$2000 if you're going for the cheapest options plus you have to think of all the body prep (patching rust holes, removing/masking parts and what not). Chris from B is for Build bed linered his Toyota FJ and all that was really needed was a good cleaning and scuffing of the surface.
I love this build, I have a black 97 Sierra ext. cab stepside. This build is a more relatable build to me. It nice to see back to the basics. That is what I like about your channel. It has a lot of different kinds of content for everyone.
When I had my 96 suburban I cranked the key to MAX to fit my 35’s and the only way I was able to get it aligned was by getting an after market camber adjustment kit which allowed the wheel to be completely straight.
I'm a jeep guy but I'm really enjoying this series you've got going man. Entertaining stuff. Almost makes me want to get a beater truck like this to go wheeling a little harder than I'd usually go.
I am personally impressed, oh wait,, is that why the US government and even other countries used this truck set up around the world as a defensive form of mobility.. Um let me think..
That wheel and tire combo looks great! I like the "stance" wheels on the Silverado, but the blazer has the more offroad look to me! Keep this build content coming Mike!!
I don’t even care for trucks but loving this build more than i ever thought i would . Can’t wait till it’s shiny and done up fr but the blacked out look it has now is dope
@Todd m I was about to say something similar. If it wreaked of paint outside, who cares, you're outside! Lol, now if he wrecked brand new paint outside that would be a whole different story! I say Rhino-liner (bed liner) the whole thing. A buddy of mine has his Envoy done with it and it's sweet.
I had those tires on my previous truck. With systematic rotations I got over 50k out of them. Loved them throughout their entire life! Blazer looks great man!
Just slip on a Classic Chambered Powerstick "muffler" ($50ish) and dump it right after it. Would sound SO much cleaner and is budget friendly. I have one on my craptastic Ram 1500.
A nice coat of bedliner is exactly what you need if you're going to be running through the brush alot, and I think you may have a problem with the front tire clearance if the suspension compresses while the wheels are turned at full lock, like hitting a bump. The tires will rip off your fender flares and maybe damage the tire if they contact the sheet metal. Just so you know that the clearance will decrease as the tire comes up into the wheel arch. Love the Tazer and the content, so keep up the good stuff.
Hey Mike the Blazer is such a great platform with how great of shape it is in. I think I speak for a lot of the viewers in saying we would love to see you really invest some money into making it an amazing off roader and driver. Kind of a dual purpose but still making it look great and not having shabby crap on it.
I think it’s safe to say a lot of us agree on the bed liner paint job. It’ll save from smaller dings and scrapes and plus looks tough. Fix the rust first tho or it’ll rush to pieces probably from trapped moisture.
I love Jeeps but I can watch Dirt Every Day for Jeeps, I would rather see something else like older mid sized or small SUVs like the a fore mentioned 4runner or even a Tracker. Trackers are pretty cool with a few mods, same with there Suzuki counter parts.
So pumped about the wheels and tires and so relieved to hear the rust and rot is eventually gonna get fixed now just holding out with my fingers crossed got an eventual lift kit
It pained me when I took my old truck off roading. I have my Cherokee which is my off road toy that I don't care about and then my Dodge Ram 1500 is my daily/ work truck. When I bought the truck I said I wasn't going to take it off roading, plus it's only a 2 wheel drive. Butttt then I got my Cherokee stuck in the middle of a National Forest while doing some mudding and didn't have a choice but to bring the truck in to save it! The truck is so much wider than the Jeep is and it had a nice black paint job. The trees on the trail changed that! Now I've got massive scrapes down the entire truck and the radio antenna snapped in half... Pretty good day that was.
I have a great idea once a month hold a big subscribers only paintball outing with different activities. 100 people max and people can bring out their trucks or have a little car meet. It can be a free event or like $50 per person. This is a pretty good idea. Not only will you and your friends enjoy it but it'll be a great way for all your subscribers to come out and connect 🤔
i love the blazer! i drive a 1997 mercury mountaineer im hoping to turn into an overland vehicle in the years to come. hard to do on SSI but out well! everyone needs a hobby! i do suggest you lower your tire pressures when going offroading. this will help you to stay on top of mud by having a larger contact patch. you only need to drop to around 20-25psi. its also good to get a nice 12v air pump and keep in your truck! other than that. you are doing great!! would love to go offroading with you but sadly im in northern minnesota. you would love highway 61 for driving your McNugget!
I like the tread on the dirtymax tires. Looks like NJ. But I feel you bro. I can have something older that doesn’t have perfect paint and I’m still like. THAT SCRATCHED MY CAR!!!
im not going to lie i like the blazer videos more then the mclaren ones LOL
Jaskanwar Randhawa same
same here

Same, and i think it's more enjoyable about cause it's more budget friendly not something expensive to get your hands on

Cheap LS7 swap for the Blazer. I'm just waiting for this build to not be cheap anymore. We all know it's going to happen
Snowcat_srt he needs to hurry
In what way is an ls7 cheap?
Well that rust repair and paint is not gonna be cheap unless JC Whitney's still selling those patch panels.
@@peterfleming2730 Read again.
Mike J raybuck has cheap good quality patch panels.
Love this build so much!
Fix rust then paint? I say forget the paint just spray the whole thing with truck bed liner.
How much is bed liner compared to spray paint? I'm not sure never bought bed liner before but I think he is going as cheap as possible, and spray paint is pretty cheap. But yeah, bed liner is a good idea!
@@rocksjoshua bed liner you dont worry about waxing etc, and you can just pressure wash everything off

Or just have fun in it the way it is because it’s gonna get beat up and scratched and dented
Get it coated with line x or flex seal

Blazer is one of your best purchase ... wish it was mine
Definitely time to get a good, tree pushing, trail blazin, brush guard on the blahoe!
Time to bed liner the blazer
I was going to say the same thing!!
I agree
Yap, forget about the rust and just rhino line it, else it be sitting in the driveway with princess dirty max
I said the same thing! 😄
Do it!
my chevy wouldn't start and you said my ford was to wide or else I would have been there.....next time buddy

I actually enjoy this type of car/truck video it’s something kids and young people can do and relate too !! This was a good idea
When I had my 96 suburban I cranked the key to MAX to fit my 35’s and the only way I was able to get it aligned was by getting an after market camber adjustment kit which allowed the wheel to be completely straight.
The tazer looks beast! Badass that 2500 bucks gets u such a sick truck!
I know you probably will but deff need go change the headlights go LEDS and also add some Baja lights or a nice light bar so it can be super bright
Rigid industries or baja designs is the only way to go.
Love the way those wheels and tires look!
That wheel and tire combo is awesome.
Camo or American flagged painted with bedliner would be dope
I love the blazer videos keep it up!!!!
Probably one of my favorite vehicles on the channel! Made my day hearing you were gonna get the rust fixed!!!
i love the budget build, looks amazing!
Would you just look at it. Look at it
I heard the 720s has some crazy tough paint, you should run it through that trail and give it a test!!
His has expel won't do anything anyway
Imagine a lift kit on a 720s and him doing an off road video in it easy 100mil views😂😂
Finally someone making trails like I do!!! If the motor spins it’s gooooooood

Turn it into a off road park and you got my business. Im not that far from you.
Beacause of this series it inspired me to get a 1995 gmc 3500 dually 6.5 turbo diesel 4x4 manual
Andre Falardeau had the same truck but 454 7.4 gas for 8 years loved it
@@lilbro9170 i have a 1997 dump truck with a rebuilt 454 and a full built trans in it
Love the build. The cut looks pretty clean . I mean u really don’t see a tahoe from this era with two doors like this
Looks good looking forward to the build process
Blazer legit looks better then the dmax
Edit: that's just my opinion
The dirtymax is more of a show truck, the blazer is more of a daily
Maybe from far away with your eyes squinting really really hard
Definitely. The dmax looks horrible in a lot of ways
Duramax needs the beefy tires. But yeah its a show truck not a mud truck.
Blazer looks good but Dmax looks way better lol
sema beaver on the bumpers...
Loving the blazer buddy, very good choice for a build. Keep em comin!
Hell yeah buddy love the project truck vlogs💪
Wrap the whole thing instead of new paint so you don’t wreak new paint out in the woods
Except wrap cost atleast twice as much as paint
Bed liner the whole thing
Moneyandtime Freedom I dig that idea
Moneyandtime Freedom raptor liner is cheap durable, has colors to choose and you do it your self

This is going to a great project . Lots of fun offroad.
Should use an angle grinder NOT a saws all to cut bumper

Could have used longer bumper bolts with a spacer or washers and not cut bumper.
Or could have gotten a lift instead of a high-schooler torsion bar increase. He will regret it when it snaps.
@@joshua_J does BUDGET not mean anything to you. Lol jk I get what your saying

Joshua Vandygriff he turned up the torsion bars an inch.... that won’t hurt a thing, it’s not like they’re maxed out

Explain to your fans how terrible your poor man's lift kit rides.
I would be seriously surprised if you can tell any difference at all in ride quality only turning the torsion bars up one inch
