    So I gotta say I went all natural last season. The year before I gave them respitory towards the end of yb season bc I was worried and the old timers got in my head...The hardest thing this yr was when my birds weren't winning and the older fanciers are telling me there's something wrong with them. I check their throats and their health the birds looked perfect. Sent them to the 300 without medicating and did very well. 1st in my club. The hardest thing following your system is to ignore guys who have won everything and you look up to. But your system works. Thanks for the upload. I don't do everything in top two tiers except tho yellow drops.. I tried but I gotta go to work in an office. Can't show up with yellow fingers!

      Great to hear. Sometimes no matter what you do the birds do not perform and then they dominate a week later. This year I won a Long distance combine by a wide margin, the following week I was on the late side with the same pigeons at 317 miles. The next race the birds won the 507 mile combine by a wide margin. I did not panic and start changing. The pigeons looked great.

      @FrankMcLaughlinPigeons I think you should mention thT in future video. It's gotta be the biggest challenge with natural system. The impulse to do something is hard to control. Hopefully 2024 goes well and I'll try not to Panic I
      Either way. Thanks

    Keep them great videos coming. My pigeons love the red grit the best and Kilpatrick,s black minerals during the breeding season.

    Thank you, also prefer the more natural remedies.
    I also like to give my birds tumeric powder, cayenne pepper, Moringa tea, lemon juice and kefir( for the probiotics)
    Seems to also help in keeping the birds healthy without the antibiotics.
    Lots of others which I think could be very beneficial but I suppose one has to draw the line somewhere.

    I picked all of the treat seeds out of a 22lb bag of Jovati’s Multimineral Mix that I recently bought, it really tried My patience to do that but I managed to get them all out, I really don’t like seeing those things in My Grit.

      You are dedicated. I would like the mix much more if they did not put in the treat seeds. They end up eating more than they need.

      I have occasionally put some slices.of lemons in the drinkers only because we have lemon trees . I feel most of the supplements are a waste of money i have occasionally used a piece of garlic in a drinker after the breeding season when the pigeons are parted and in the aviarys . I am really not into supplements.

    Hello Frank. Most fanciers do a course of canker (ronidazole etc) and respiratory (Doxycycline +bromohexine). You do as well? If not , what are alternatives for canker and respiratory? What do u use before race? Any herbal or other? Thanks

    • @FrankMcLaughlinPigeons
      @FrankMcLaughlinPigeons  10 месяцев назад +1

      I do not flock treat the birds ever. Not before or during the race season or breeding. I only give natural products but will treat a sick bird individually. I built up the immunity of my pigeons and have not treated for canker or respiratory in over 10 years and have not treated for cocci in over 20 years. Check out these videos. • @FrankMcLaughlinPigeons
      @FrankMcLaughlinPigeons  10 месяцев назад

      Hello Ben, During the racing season I put in all the fresh minerals for when they return from the race. If the grit is dry I will leave it. You can replenish any grits and minerals on Tuesday. I do not give fresh grit after Tuesday during the racing season. There is too much salt in the minerals and I do not want the pigeons to dehydrate during the race. So fresh grits on day of return and you can replenish on Tuesday.

    well its always easiest to get items that are "sold for humans" like the ACV, garlic, and flax seed oil. i admit that having to special order- or drive for 5 hours- to get specialty pigeon items makes it a bit more nerve wracking....

    • @FrankMcLaughlinPigeons
      @FrankMcLaughlinPigeons  10 месяцев назад +1
