The opinions given in this interview is the perspective of different people like bachelors living alone, bachelors living with their parents, family people living on rental houses, fully owned houses😊 inherited from their elders - lucky ones, and the most famous and the most widely spreaded first generation office goers with housing apartment loans. In comparison with the other metro cities Chennai is an Angel city. Among outsiders that too people from rural areas who can't earn much but to pay much for everything Chennai is a paradise because while they pay much for everything they can earn good money too. North Indians are pouring in for this reason.
When I was a bachelor, I managed on a monthly budget of 5,000. But now, with a family, my expenses have risen to around 2.5 lakhs per month. Therefore, it's clear that there's no such thing as a 'good salary.😂
Every thing has its own pros and cons. I would say Chennai is expensive. After all expenses, there is hardly anything left to save. Buying Gold Jewellery or owning a home is becoming an unaffordable dream for people. But at the same time, Chennai is a land of opportunities. Chennai City is expanding. We have such good infrastructure and medical facilities like nowhere else. It all comes with a cost.
Chennai expensive? Where were you living earlier? Anyway, go to Bangalore near Chennai and taste life there for a few months. You will know the meaning of cost of living!
50,000 can be manageable if there is no rent for a small family with aged parents. but there will be lots of compromises. but if we have aged parents and too much medical expense then it is different story.

When I retire, I would like to move to Tamil Nadu to live. However, I don’t want to live in a big city but live where is a good hospital, good transportation, gym, etc. I would like to rent a house with all the amenities in it and have a yard to do some planting. Where is Tamil Nadu can I find that where it is not much of a busy place not rural either?
Coimbatore..
@@swaminaathanchandrasekar7079
Thanks for the info. I was looking online for rental in Coimbatore but they seem more expensive there than in other places in Tamil Nadu.

That’s good to know. I am saving up so I can visit in 2026. Thank you for the info.
i visited chennai last week end. I felt food has been so expensive for a family of 4. Earlier if you go to dominos or KFC it may take 500-600 for a family of 4. Now leave KFC or dominos.. if you go to vasantha bhavan, saravana bhavan or sangeetha easily bill comes to 600 or 700 for a family of 4.. Chapathi one set 100 rs in saravana bhavan..
who ask you to go to posh restaurant.
@@mazhaisaral3212 vasantha bhavan ellam nan chinna vayasula irunthu sapiduren..
You can get the same chappathi at 30 to 40 rs in someother restaurant. If you go roadside shop, you can get the same at 10rs. It depends on the brand loyalty.
If you compare same saravana bhavan with bangalore you can find chennai branch is affordable
@@mdtb3901 looks like we are all comfortable with price hikes..that is why we are giving alternative like road side shops.. does road side shops have GST???.. we don't condemn we accept...
@@siramakr it is not about price hike, it is about brand reputation. You are paying for its brand reputation loyalty. we are paying only for food so we dont need saravan bhavan, vasantha bhavan etc. If you step in to such store, shops dont think about price. People dont care if BMW car price increased, we care only if petrol price increased. There s a difference

👏🏻👍🏻
Are North Indians in Chennai learning tamil or you people are accomodating them by learning Hindi?

Indian average working salary in Malaysia from RM1500 onwards.
Cost of living! Depends upon they Needs and Wants! But we can fix mini max salary to Class lower to Luxury
All depends on the supply and demand…
When I was a bachelor, I managed on a monthly budget of 5,000. But now, with a family, my expenses have risen to around 2.5 lakhs per month. Therefore, it's clear that there's no such thing as a 'good salary.😂
But life style depends on the salary doesn't it?😊
Every thing has its own pros and cons.
I am unable to manage with 1 Lakh Per month with own house. How are people managing with 40-50k
This is a good question, I'll try to make a video about managing finances in Chennai.
Bangalore is most expensive city in India after that Chennai no quality of food and products wast money
No Mumbai is the most expensive city
2 Hyderabad
3 Delhi
4 Chennai and Bangalore

how much it costs for student in lg hostel ?
50,000 can be manageable if there is no rent for a small family with aged parents. but there will be lots of compromises.
but if we have aged parents and too much medical expense then it is different story.
