This is great info! I wish I had known this a couple of years ago. I ended up quitting because I was going home crying everyday. She even timed us in thr bathroom. We were allowed 2 minutes. If we even took 4, she'd lecture us. When I had to use the restroom 2x in 8 hours, she asked me if I had a medical problem.

Micromanagers don't work with people doing strategic sales!

What productive emotions? Being micromanaged removes every ounce of motivation.

When I first started managing people I was a micromanager. Learned quickly they didn't work. Now I am the polar opposite, as long as the work is getting done and quality, I am happy. I will say to someone periodically "please work on X, Y or Z. Don't put me in a position where I have to micromanage you. "

I like to say that "expectations are just premediated disappointment" It is more about setting daily weekly monthly goals and letting them reach that result. Thanks for sharing.

I disagree. My boss is out to get me.

My boss is a patronising Man splainer so bloody irritating. He told me how to take the wrapper off a wine bottle and how to put a paper in a card machine. I am 48 F.F.S and have been doing my job for 7 years!

I also micromanaged at first. Sorry to my first team members!

This was helpful. I’m apparently a highly insensitive person and have never even stopped to wonder why she’s the way she is, I figured it was for her own sick amusement.

This is so good! 2yrs later this is so helpful! I definitely am a HSP. I feel like this overcommunication is a lot more work, I don't do well with being micromanaged AT ALL! I hate it, but these tips have helped me learn how to work with my manager.

Great information. I wish I would have known this before I became an entrepreneur but it still helps me to understand how micromanaging the contractors I work with can make them feel. Thank you!!
