You can get the spacers off the autos its behind the starting gear I bet you can stack 10 or more of the skinny ones without it being a problem maby 2 of the thicc ones ? It'll work 🤔

I recommend talking to a race car shop and let them tell you what drive line angles you can have on the shafts and drive shaft to rear wheels. You can't randomly drop the engine down and change angles without first knowing the angle limits. You could end up with bad vibration and blown U joints etc. Please investigate it before you cut and drop the engine down.

You should try and get a group purchase going on the clutch attempting to get a company on board. Also patent the adaptor plate, mounts, and wiring harnesses that may be needed. Large companies have been built on less and I could see a lot of people wanting to do this build. Just look at the awd hatch they made that is setting records everywhere. The worst part about the Stu is the motor other than that Idk much about Subaru’s but if it has an electronic differential that manages power to the front and rear that could be a tricky situation but yet another opportunity to invent/patient. Looking forward to the build though. Good luck guys.

I used to fucking hate Honda, Just because everyone told me "Honda is for ricers or Honda is shit compared to this this and this". Got into K series and built myself a k24/k20 with forged internals and ITB's in a CRX shell. Runs past many "Sports" cars. That's probably why Honda is hated so much because it can compete N/A with some turbocharged cars and embarrass them.
Viewing hell yeah that's an awesome build. Honda gets hate because they're usually a first car for modding and it almost always never goes well.

If you think EJs are bad motors, you're clearly just bad at maintenance and do everything on the cheap. Proper service with decent synthetic oil, tune the car for its mods and run decent octane fuel and you'll have no issues.

I have an STI, and at first i barfed into my mouth a bit. However, after listening to you guys and thinking about this a bit, this is a really good marriage of engineering. Subaru really doesnt seem to make that great of a powerplant, and Honda well, all they make is FWD (for the most part) so i am actually looking forward to this. Maybe it will become something people do in the future to wrx's

sti's are nothing special, they have the exact same chassis as an impreza just with a stronger engine&driveline. he'd need to steal the 6 speed, diff & brembos from an sti anyway so its just easier to start with something where its already installed in the car for you 😂
