Kudos to the creative team of FEATR. You don’t fail to deliver beautiful videos every time you upload. I am always eager to watch your upcoming features. The rural Philippines indeed has a lot to offer. It is the heart of the Filipino culture and tradition. People are pure, simple, and unpretentious.
Thank you FEATR for featuring this amazing story from Lilibet. I am from Siquijor and everytime i come home from abroud our visit will never complete without her pan bisaya.Thank you to all the team❤❤❤
My wife and I were talking about this, after trying out so many breads that are not filipino, that we actually enjoy this bread more than anything else. The taste, texture, mouthfeel, aftertaste, serving size, ease of consumption is perfect. We also said the time of this bread will come.
I’ve seen a lot of pan bisaya along Dauin and Zamboanguita, Negros Oriental. They must have started this long before modern bread making ingredients became more available. This bread taste really good and they using tuba! There must be some rich history about this since even before I was born pan bisaya is very common in Negros Oriental. Probably different variation of this recipe even around the entire Visayas.
I've had this bread in Zamboanguita, every time we visit, I buy as many as possible, because it sells really fast, by lunch time it's all sold out. Really delicious, specially paired with sikwate or freshly brewed coffee.
Siquijor has always been a hidden gem. 20 years ago me and my barkada always goes there for the weekend, backpacking and camping along their pristine beaches, local people where we often stay became our friends. One of the best people in our country.
I am pleased to note that my native province was highlighted in your vlog, particularly focusing on the story of a determined mother who overcame hardships to achieve success. Thanks to the exposure provided by your vlog, she stands to gain recognition from both the local community and potentially even from international visitors to the island.
We just called it Pan Bisaya. I still remember that meron yan sa Mindanao while I'm on vacation and also I bought Pan Bisaya in Siquijor sa pier nila. This was during late 80s and 90s. Also nakabili rin ako nyan sa province sa Cebu pero wala yan sa Cebu City.
Thank you feater for discovering the humble bigginings of those talented people who are passionate about baking traditional Pinoy breads in different areas of our archepelago... I was inspired by the relentless pursuit of this group who just keep on going and never giving up in achieving their goals no matter what happened along the way....
Was just there also about 2 weeks ago. Lagi nauubos. Really good. ☺️ Made me miss Siquijor all the more. That island is truly enchanting. What a beauty. 💕
I have tried that decades ago when i was a child and it was really delicious and full! It was not airy inside and very tasty! I hope it is still the same until now
I had this when I went there and I can say this Pan de coco is really good, freshly baked and the filling is not too sweet. It was so good that we came back the next day.
Oh wow, that brought tears to my eyes. Kudos to nanay for persevering! And being so generous. No wonder she is being blessed now. Thank you FEATR for showing us inspiring stories like this.
iba parin tlaga ang taglay na amoy at lasa ng makalumang moderno sa pag luluto ng tinapay kase maramdaman mo tlaga yung kung gaano sya pinag hirapan ng panadero nito❤
This is so tasty as they use coconut milk and tuba... can be seen in southern part of Cebu. This is even more flavorfulif eaten later or when cold best partnered with balack coffee.
