I don’t know what people expect but to me they have the “YG vibe” to them. A debut that’s like a comeback, an anthem at the end of the song, their swag, great rapping skills, power vocals, great dancing skills(YES, YG artists are great dancers too. It just doesn’t show), performers that know how to play on stage and etc. Now YGE has so many artist that have different styles to them and you can really tell that they don’t stick to just one type of genre when releasing a song. I also think that it’s YG artists diversity of their song that people forget that YGE is a Hiphop company. So when YGE announced that TREASURE is finally gonna debut it will be like idk how to explain this, but something like a cute youthful boys with great smooth vocals and some good dance choreo. But then we got BOY opposite of their song Going crazy. So yeah, we don’t really know what to expect from YG artists cause every comebacks of theirs is different.
Actually, their pre-debut song Going Crazy was the one that sounded like a non-YG style 🤣 this one is a very YG style. That party anthem at the latter part of the song is something that's always present in any song released by YGE as long as it's an upbeat song. But of course, YG Artists never stick to one genre so it's not surprising that they have almost all types of music. I loved this song from the first time I heard it. I didn't need it to grow on me. Kekeke. But yeah, everyone has different preferences.

I think those people who were saying that they do not like the song, they were expecting Treasure to release a hard hiphop song like most of their seniors. The song is quite different from most debut songs under YG as it's more on the pop side instead of hiphop. They are all so young, with the youngest at 15years old. Thus, they debuted with a fresher and brighter concept. Also, others were just being blind on them as they are from YG. Those who were not satisfied were not Treasure Makers who waited for them for the past 2 years. These boys have worked so hard for them to debut. Yedam even trained for 8years and patiently waited that long. He was the one in white hoodie and who did the falsetto that you mentioned. Please check out his solo, Wayo. It is sooooo good. It was a pre-debut song for Treasure and also a gift to his fans who waited for him for so long since he was 10years old after placing 2nd on Kpop Star 2 in 2012. I’m actually a YG stan and a Treasure Stan. I’ve been waiting for Treasure since YG Treasure Box (YG’s survival show 2 years ago). And I really satisfy with this debut song I love it so much. I don’t understand why people think it’s not YG style or just because they have a lot of members in YG history group? The overall of this mv is totally YG even non-yg stan still feel the vibe. Specially the ending part. In this music video, YG add more cheerful vibe because Treasure’s concept is teen crush. YG makes Treasure as a performance group (at this point every yg artists are the best performer) but for Treasure, YG want to make them as a powerful dance group too(This is sth new to YG). Btw Treasure still has that charisma vibe (the signature of yg) and added more cheerful vibe at the same time. It’s really suitable with them at their age.

I think those people who were saying that they do not like the song, they were expecting Treasure to release a hard hiphop song like most of their seniors. The song is quite different from most debut songs under YG as it's more on the pop side instead of hiphop. They are all so young, with the youngest at 15years old. Thus, they debuted with a fresher and brighter concept.
Also, others were just being blind on them as they are from YG. Those who were not satisfied were not Treasure Makers who waited for them for the past 2 years.
These boys have worked so hard for them to debut. Yedam even trained for 8years and patiently waited that long. He was the one in white hoodie and who did the falsetto that you mentioned. Please check out his solo, Wayo. It is sooooo good. It was a pre-debut song for Treasure and also a gift to his fans who waited for him for so long since he was 10years old after placing 2nd on Kpop Star 2 in 2012.
Treasure's choreography is definitely on fire. It's the first time YG produced a huge-numbered group with synchronized choreography.

I’m actually a YG stan and a Treasure Stan. I’ve been waiting for Treasure since YG Treasure Box (YG’s survival show 2 years ago). And I really satisfy with this debut song I love it so much. I don’t understand why people think it’s not YG style or just because they have a lot of members in YG history group? The overall of this mv is totally YG even non-yg stan still feel the vibe. Specially the ending part. In this music video, YG add more cheerful vibe because Treasure’s concept is teen crush. YG makes Treasure as a performance group (at this point every yg artists are the best performer) but for Treasure, YG want to make them as a powerful dance group too(This is sth new to YG). Btw Treasure still has that charisma vibe (the signature of yg) and added more cheerful vibe at the same time. It’s really suitable with them at their age.

In my opinion I absolutely love this song! Sure it doesn’t super highlight their voice , but it shows their versatility, in being able to do a hard choreography, pumped up song & they have their whole careers ahead of them to show different sides of them , that we’ve been able to catch a glimpse of in their videos

The reason why some people don’t feel the YG vibes is that YG wanted to try something new that they haven’t done before. Making Treasure was a lot of risk since they want to produce Treasure in a different way breaking their typical style. They would know if they know Treasure.

A newly released sky cam from Inkigayo, for example, revealed a pulsating heart formation. It seems like if you dissect it, something new is revealed about this choreography. I imagine it's a feast for dance connoisseurs.
