Recall travelling by Punjab mail in the 1990's from Bhopal to Mumbai. Even back then it used to depart Bhopal at 5 pm. Watching the sunset from train, having dinner and sleeping. Reaching Kalyan in the morning and seeing the local trains. I will never forget those great experiences.

Once a traveller sent a complaint to Indian Railways, because Punjab Mail entered the Delhi station 1 minute 20 seconds late. People used to match their watches with the arrival of Punjab Mail.
My first job after graduation was in Ferozepur. Used to travel from Mumbai(home) to Ferozepur by this train and return during holidays..Those days was ICF coach.. Still have lovely memories..of the train..of Ferozepur..😊
How long Amritsar is from Firozepur ? This is the only CR train,which goes to Firozepur.Otherwise all trains from Mumbai(CR/WR),going towards Punjab destines at Amritsar.

wow, Nice Video. very nice information in the caption too. not many bloggers provide such precise information. one thing i dislike about Indian Railways is the internal strife between their own zones. Here two WDP4D (with dual cabs) are used together while plenty of WDP4 with single cabs are used in single mode. these locomotives make a problem for the loco pilot when the loco is run with long hood ahead. best way would be to use WDP4 single cab in dual mode and joined together at their long hoods so that there is a front facing cabs in any direction and WDP4Ds must be used in single loco mode. it would really easy the life of a loco pilot who has extremely restricted view when running the locomotive with long hood in front. Railways must think about this
@@prasannasenberk7928 no, what i am saying is, using wdp4d in dual loco mode is a waste of good resources. wdp4 with single cabs should be used in dual loco mode while wdp4d with its dual cabs should be used in single loco mode. this is for the Loco pilot's benefit where he gets a front facing cab while piloting the train, he/she gets a proper view and can react to any situation in time, in single cab mode, when driven with long hood ahead, the loco pilot has a very restricted view of one side only, the other side has to be monitored by the assistant LP and that increases the work load on both LPs
