MINI One Hatch 3-door Auto Test Review

How much MINI do you need?
I've said many times that you buy a MINI because you want a MINI, it's not necessarily a logical buy. It's a boutique hatch, it has BMW quality, it has great handling and it has a certain mystique.........those are the reasons why. Plus don't leave out that it just looks cool.
The MINI range is available in many flavours. Engines range from 75kW to 225kW and bodies range from 3-door hatch to 5-door hatch through the Clubman Estate to the Countryman SUV and even the convertible version too.
The 75kW 3 cylinder petrol turbo engine as in this test is only available in 3 or 5 door hatches with a choice of 6 speed manual or 7 speed automatic transmission. With 190Nm on tap as well, it is still nippy in the typical MINI fashion. Perfectly suited to city commuting.
The interior is standard MINI fare, excellent quality and trim throughout. It has the standard central circular Infotainment screen even if some features would need to be added as extras. Cruise control, air-con and many others are still standard. One feature I felt lacking that should be standard is rear park distance control. I know it's a small car, but this feature has become almost a requirement in the modern world and cannot be expensive to add at manufacture rather than having to add as an extra.
Of course, space in the rear and boot are limited, but that applies to the entire range and especially the 3 door hatch.
Overall, if you want a MINI and are on a more limited budget, I don't believe that you will be sacrificing as much as you may think. As I said at the start......................how much MINI do YOU need?

If u need parking sensors on a mini you shouldnt be fukn driving tbh.
