- This 2015 Mini Cooper 1.5 - 5 door hatch is a gem of a little car. Who says an affordable family hatchback can't be fun as well as practical? Well in this video review, that is what we aim to prove.
Now, full disclaimer; Two Chap Andy actually owns this Mini Cooper 5 door car with his family. And, like any purchase nowadays, he researched this car thoroughly before buying it.
Sadly as the country is in lockdown 3, we can't work together so it is Andy on his own. Which I know you are all getting bored of but does mean that we still manage to get some stuff out to you guys. When this lifts we will have more fun and exciting videos to come!

People even don´t see them... one of the best and fun drivers car.. not practical but fun and want to drive.. not a citroin Cactus c3 a car for hell look like a schoolbus.. this MINI is superb.. with the best engine 1.5T 3 cyl ,, not even Polo sport comes close to the power.

looking at one of these as my first car. 22k on it for £8.8k with the chilli pack heated seats and the nicer rims. Looking at around £100 a month on hp after deposit. So going to be a well worth it car. Thanks for the review really helping me to be informed more before I buy mine. Altho your estimate of 14k for a low milage 2015 was awfully high. they tend to go for more around 8-10k atm.
100 per month for HP that is a STEAL! the car is is 6 years old and I still love it to pieces
@@TwoChapsMotoring yeah I am paying 4k on deposit tho. Amazingly for a first time driver my insurance was like £827.68 quoted no black box
Bruh the one I'm looking at is 8700 but it's 53k on it and is 2016. You seemed to get a good deal

I'm looking at one for my first car but I hear things about reliability and cost of parts being a bit spotty
To be fair, the minis from 2014 onwards are much more reliable than previous models

Smart move! Love that car. So much fun. Had ours three years , it's not as practical as some others but it's worth it for the quirkier looks and fun drive!
Hi mate. You have mentioned that you are achieving 60mpg in this 1.5 petrol. Is it realistic consumption and do you have the drive modes in your car? Good review by the way :)
I've managed to get just shy of 60 mpg (59.2) the official stats say 60. You do have to drive very sensibly though. And it helps if you have some 40 mph roads where you can coast for a few minutes haha realistically we get in the early 50s. And in the cooper with the pepper pack you don't get driving modes sadly

@@piotrtadajewski47 hmmm... driving at fun speeds I would say in the low 40s. Have you driven both yet? The cooper in the 5 door genuinely is great to drive and feels quick to me. But if you want even more power the S might be your choice. But tax will be higher, and all the usual price increases

I am looking at 2016 of the same model you have, its 110K kms. How is this car in terms of maintenance ?. I am getting it for $9500 CDN. Should I consider checking it out?.
Hand on heart. I take this to the garage to do anythin! But so far she hasn't needed anything! I would maybe give it a look over..9.5k isn't pocket money so best check your Investment before committing

Hi Two Chaps, I am looking at a 5 door cooper as my next car, do you mind the limited rear legroom? Plus how good are they to drive??
Hey Theo. Right rear legroom is fine. Especially for shorter journeys Getting in and out is a pig. My daughter in a massive car seat goes in fine though. But the fun is to be had in the drive. Even now 3 years on, I think it Is a fab car to drive. In that engine and trim !

@@theowilson1447 actually. We thought about going down the countryman route instead which is their small estate version. And if I had the choice now, I'd probably go for that but would want to drive one first ! Yes absolutely wanted the chilli pack, I wanted the best infotainment system I could afford !!

Boot space is OK. We managed to get a pushchair in their ok. I get about 3 full bag for life's worth of shopping across the bottom

How's the maintenance cost for this Mini?
About average really. 250 for interim service and over 400 for full service at a main dealer.
I stopped watching when you said it’s a turbo . 1.25mins lol reliability and running costs comes from simplicity
