You were 5 min from my house in Joliet. I wish I knew you were out this way would of been nice to meet you and say thank you for all the amazing videos you do.
@WallieB26 Well If you ever come back to Joliet that street you were on has a abandoned Arby's that turned into a taco restaurant that didn't last very long. Few other places within a few minutes of there.
Hey, some folks are trying to find the song from Abandoned Toys R Us & Circuit City - Johnstown, PA in the minute 8:28, this song had become an lost media, you can help us?
I haven't found an open one in a long time now. However, Kate and Jon were telling me at the time of my visit there was still an open location in the Chicago area
So the funny thing is that you've explored some things in the Chicago suburbs that i have actually been to so if I ever see you at a restaurant that's open then that would be awesome because you're a cool guy and you make really good videos 😂👍
I love this video. I recently did one of an abandoned and burnt out Long John Silvers in Houston TX. The one you found looks nicer than the one I did 😂 keep up the good work Wallie 😎👍
I never seen a Long John Silvers with sayings on the seats. I miss their Hush Puppies and fries and long chicken tenders. Of course, I was a child in the 90's when I last had LJS here in Lancaster, PA. I hope you can check out MoviEtown in Elizabethtown, PA. It closed in 2020 during the pandemic. It was a good theater to go to. Movies I watched there are: Dolphin Tale Judy Moody and the Not Bummer Summer The Smurfs Dumbo live action Beauty and the Beast live action The Lion King live action Another movie about a girl allergic to the sun and her neighbor shows her the world during her illness, I don't remember what that movie is called. I think that's all the movies I watched at MoviEtown. It's beautiful inside. My mom and I were always the first ones in the rooms. The Lion King was the last movie I saw there on my birthday a few months before the virus shut it down 😢. I miss that theater a lot. Oops, I forgot I watched Star Wars Phantom Menace at MoviEtown too, good movie but not my favorite. Although, Jar Jar Binks was really funny 😂.
Wallie, I saw a video on RUclips where an old school long John silvers just like this one , and they turned it into a game stop and they Left it just like it was when it was a long John silvers , hope to hear back from you soon thanks and God bless you always my friend 🍀😱🍀☘️❇️✳️❇️
I worked at LJS from 2000 to 2015 when it closed in Alliance, (you filmed IGA and value city here) its so sad seeing all these doors closed. Editing to say Alliance LJS had a Rax inside it until around 2007, I think. i loved Rax, but there are none to close.
Honestly thought Long Johns has bit the dust. My local one is still vacant along with several other ones. Now they are building a new one in the city close to me.
Never been to a long John's silver either .but you can't say no to some of the classic looks of any of these restaurants including those seats which makes it different and unique.
Jonrev or "John and Kate" on RUclips. Actually seen a couple channels blur him now. He has a really cool exploration channel and cinema at a mall in Waukegan, IL that I hope to check out someday. I've seen folks in his videos. But maybe the whole urbex nature gotta keep the identity secret. Only thing I can think.
The front portion of the dining room that is in better shape was added several years after this location opened. That's why it's in better shape than the rest of the original building.
Going as far back as Google Street View has available (September 2008), that Take 5 Oil Change was a used car lot, part of the Hyundai dealer. The Take 5 was built sometime in 2023. Whether or not there was a Burger King in that spot before the used car lot, I have no idea.
I wanted to soooooo badly. But I didn't have time. I was told the track is still used for events. Just not NASCAR since they bailed on that place. If I can make it happen, I will!
There was one in Saratoga NY we ate at a few times with a rope around it on the outside. I ate at a Taco Bell/Long Johns when I moved to Troy NY and got sick the next day. They gave me old shrimp before I got the fresh stuff. I never ate there again and now it's Taco Bell. Wallie, I hope you do Albany Upstate area NY sometime, there is a lot of closed stuff up here.
I mean, some people will say it's trash, others will say it's okay, and some will say it's great. I say it's okay. Used to be better when I was a kid and my grandparents and I would go to our local one in Ross Township, PA. Definitely not the same as it was but I'll eat their food every once in a while.
Thanks! LJS food is good. But there’s better options out there. Now Red Lobster just closed in Erie, PA. You should do a video there whenever you have the chance.
@@slackingpacking I didn't know it closed. we have abandoned Boston market on broad St signs and everything up still across from the now demolished Westland mall too and the Kmart by the burger king you filmed that became a storage place is abandoned again
Mine is abandoned too and mine says the closest location is Danville il and mine just looks like this one when I look through the windows in Champaign Illinois
Did you film your dining experience at Rax? (Which answers my question about there being a Rax in Joliet). And the truth comes out about the “randomly found” hush puppies, which we knew was a joke all along!
Wallie how far are you from the Joliet prison they filmed at in The blues Brothers movie ???? hope to hear back from you soon and God bless you always my friend, love you always like family ❤️
I love these videos. Also miss the weekends with wallie. Thanks for sharing
I've been thinking of reviving that series, actually. Maybe a little different of a title for the series but I'm seriously considering it. 😉
@@WallieB26 Thank you Wallie ! Stay awesome
I love this comment. I hoping one day that you’re in Michigan and I’m out filming and I run in to you and say hi. Stay awesome. Wallie ☺️😉😊
You were 5 min from my house in Joliet. I wish I knew you were out this way would of been nice to meet you and say thank you for all the amazing videos you do.
I'm sorry about that! I was in my friends' car so I was basically on their schedule!
@WallieB26 Well If you ever come back to Joliet that street you were on has a abandoned Arby's that turned into a taco restaurant that didn't last very long. Few other places within a few minutes of there.
BRING BACK WEEKENDS WITH WALLIE !!!! Watching some 2019 weekends with wall series now !! Thumbs up 👍 if you agree !
#WWW …Weekends With WallieB26!!!!
Agree wallie should bring back weekends with Wallie
I believe there is a couple reasons why he hasn’t brought it back
Awesome Video thanks for sharing this one wallie great video
Great video Wallie! Your Wally's shirt is fantastic.
Thank you!
Great video! You should check out the abandoned Kmart in New Lenox IL. It is less than 20 minutes from Joliet IL.
I so loved this place.
the seats in the booths are awesome!
RIght across the street from the former Jefferson Square Mall also. Nice find there!

Good video! WallieB26! You better start looking at the abandoned Red Lobster places closing around the US! Including here in NY!
i've been binging your videos for the first time in a few years and out of curiosity is Kayla still around?

Omg looks exactly like the ljs in Brooklyn ohio near Parma except ours is still holding on!
Who was that person that you blurred out

Long John Silvers be like quickly close up the business Wallie is coming for his hush puppies lol.

I live in Joliet to and miss that place
That's where Chicagoland Speedway is. Wish you could get some drone footage from there.
I wanted to soooooo badly. But I didn't have time. I was told the track is still used for events. Just not NASCAR since they bailed on that place. If I can make it happen, I will!
This was a great birthday gift for me today. I turned 24 today! (Jeff Gordon forever).
Awesome. I wish I knew you were here. It's not to far from me. Great video 👍
Come to crest hill with lots of abandoned and close places to look at
There is a LJS in Chambersburg, PA. You may of done a video and if you did. Cool… Thanks
I did! A couple of years ago. The one right on Route 30 and the roadway that goes to the shopping centers.
6:05 reminded me to check old satellite imagery... turns out there was indeed a Burger King there until the mid-2000s
I thought so! Just by the sign alone!
Red lobster closed 80 stores on Sunday. Didn’t know if you heard they’re probably probably gonna close a lot more before you know it.
There was one in Saratoga NY we ate at a few times with a rope around it on the outside. I ate at a Taco Bell/Long Johns when I moved to Troy NY and got sick the next day. Never have ate at Long John Silvers.

Yeah, that was a Burger King across the road. I worked there briefly in the '90s.
Nice long John Sliver Video
Oh shit Walle in my neck of the woods that’s dope 🔥🔥
Wallie who is with you I heard him in a few videos you did..???John???
We have 1 Long John Silvers left, I will give them credit of all the fast food chains. There food has always tasted the same.
I passed this so often as a kid 😂 never been in it, I was part of the reson they closed I guess 🤔
Awesome Wall
Thanks!
Thank you very much! I really appreciate you! Thank you for the support! Stay awesome!!
Somebody call Captain Silver and let him know his Joliet, IL ship is going down fast!😅
Thanks! LJS food is good. But there’s better options out there. Now Red Lobster just closed in Erie, PA. You should do a video there whenever you have the chance.
Yeah I just glad none closed in my city (Columbus Ohio)
@@TheCBridesyt I am surprised the one by Eastland is still open.
@@slackingpacking yeah almost everything else has closed in the area has you ever film the Kmart across from the mall?
@@TheCBridesyt nope because it’s now some kind of business. I know the Kroger is closed now.
@@slackingpacking I didn't know it closed. we have abandoned Boston market on broad St signs and everything up still across from the now demolished Westland mall too and the Kmart by the burger king you filmed that became a storage place is abandoned again
That's around the corner from my house
I miss Long John Silvers I loved there fish
we saw the pizza hut and used to work at the theature in elhart
Wally might as well put red lobster on that list of abandoned places to visit because they’re closing a lot of them down
Wow 👌 awesome video
The LJS near me is a combo with A&W.
That’s what’s left of Long John Silver’s, and A&W
Mine is abandoned too and mine says the closest location is Danville il and mine just looks like this one when I look through the windows in Champaign Illinois
I could go for some long johns right about now... wait what? Oh... I see... we're talking about LJS not donuts. Darn it.
🤔🫣😭🤣
Wallie you should make a video on all the train related items you have
I miss long John silver loved there hush puppies and cole slaw
He was not too far from my house. Ljs closed in in 2021
We have a Long John Silvers here in Salem, Ohio. It's in a building with Taco Bell. So ours is both, Taco Bell and Long John Silvers.
The Chicago land area has a lot of abandoned places and Vacant land.
Did you film your dining experience at Rax? (Which answers my question about there being a Rax in Joliet). And the truth comes out about the “randomly found” hush puppies, which we knew was a joke all along!
There's a Long John Silver's located in Westland, Michigan that is Temporary Closed for Remodeling. 1:34
