This is such a beautiful song and would become tribute to Brock. You see how much people care for the Speer family and they sing every note beautifully. But in the back half when everyone is singing and the camera goes past George Younce and Rex Nelon, you can see and hear how much they are putting into it to honor one of their bass brethren. It is just really beautiful to see and shows how much everyone must have loved Brock Speer.

I agree. I was introduced to these wonderful singers thru my husband when we met. The Lord took him home a year ago the morning after Easter. I live with these videos on RUclips and the ones I also have in my library on LP’s and DVD’s & CD’s. They are such a help in dealing with the loss. One day I’ll see him again along with all these beautiful souls who have passed into Glory we enjoyed so much together.
I grew up on southern gospel music and I really enjoyed these. I always think of my mama when I see these videos because she watched them all the time. I had another thought remember "We are the World" every past and present rock stars were on the song. Well this series was like that for gospel music.

I've been physically disabled with 2 painful conditions for the last 11 years, the last 6 or 7 in a recliner (I can't even lie in a bed) or a wheelchair. I long so much for heaven that I can't put it into words. This song is a glorious reminder that the day is coming, hopefully soon, when I'll be in Glory with my Lord and Savior and my pain will be gone forever! What a Blessed Day that will be!!

I am so grateful to God for Bill Gaither. Without his vision to bring together the greats of Southern Gospel into his "Homecoming Choir" so that Yankees and Westerners (like me) could get to hear and know that genre of Christian music, I might have gone my entire life without being blessed by artists like Howard and Vestal Goodman, George Younce, Glen Payne, Rex Nelon, Anthony Burger, Jake Hess, Stephen Hill and even Mary Tom Speer Reid, all whom graced this video and all of whom have gone home to be with the Lord. I know its been awhile since you commented, I just wanted to reply. You know, I grew up in the 50's n 60's in South Mississippi. When I was just a young guy we had tent revivals, complete with saw dust floors, (helped with the mud and dust.) I remember my mother rocking me and the church singing that song. Now everytime I listen to it, I hear my mother sing. It always takes me back to a time when the Spirit of God was so strong it made my hair stand up. Even as a child!
I watch these videos and see so many wonderful people that I knew and loved from the 1940's until now and marvel at the talent that I remember and here on this video!
Growing up my grandmother had a big cardboard box in her closet of all of the Gaither Videos and I would watch them everytime I went over there. I grew up on this kind of music. Watching these again brings back so many memories of my grandparents and my childhood. So many of these singers are now gone on to heaven and I can't imagine how beautiful heaven sounds with these amazing singers all there. Can't wait to be there and hear them all again one day! I have Stage 4 Bone Cancer, soon I will be going home unless God heals me. I have Zero no more treatments for me. . I sleep a lot now and the other morning I told myself I am resting up for my going home to Heaven. Jesus will be there with His hand open to welcome me home. I am 88 years old.
I always wondered why people were crying during this song because it's such a happy song, and then I found out that it was because Brock was in the hospital, and probably wouldn't make it through the night. So sorry that you lost her so young. My husband's mother died when he was only 16 and he didn't have a dad to lean on because his dad left him when he was born and never tried to be a part of his life.

I loved the song and the fellowship. Everyone hugging and talking. Once in a while I would get a glimpse of Anthony playing and singing. But I didn't see anybody including him in the fellowship. He didn't seem to mind because his worship was truly going up to God.

But in the back half when everyone is singing and the camera goes past George Younce and Rex Nelon, you can see and hear how much they are putting into it to honor one of their bass brethren. It is just really beautiful to see and shows how much everyone must have loved Brock Speer.

I agree. I was introduced to these wonderful singers thru my husband when we met. The Lord took him home a year ago the morning after Easter. I live with these videos on RUclips and the ones I also have in my library on LP’s and DVD’s & CD’s. They are such a help in dealing with the loss. I've been physically disabled with 2 painful conditions for the last 11 years, the last 6 or 7 in a recliner (I can't even lie in a bed) or a wheelchair. I long so much for heaven that I can't put it into words. Without his vision to bring together the greats of Southern Gospel into his "Homecoming Choir" so that Yankees and Westerners (like me) could get to hear and know that genre of Christian music, I might have gone my entire life without being blessed by artists like Howard and Vestal Goodman, George Younce, Glen Payne, Rex Nelon, Anthony Burger, Jake Hess, Stephen Hill and even Mary Tom Speer Reid, all whom graced this video and all of whom have gone home to be with the Lord. I know its been awhile since you commented, I just wanted to reply. You know, I grew up in the 50's n 60's in South Mississippi. When I was just a young guy we had tent revivals, complete with saw dust floors, (helped with the mud and dust.) I remember my mother rocking me and the church singing that song. Now everytime I listen to it, I hear my mother sing. It always takes me back to a time when the Spirit of God was so strong it made my hair stand up. Even as a child!

Growing up my grandmother had a big cardboard box in her closet of all of the Gaither Videos and I would watch them everytime I went over there. I grew up on this kind of music. Watching these again brings back so many memories of my grandparents and my childhood. So many of these singers are now gone on to heaven and I can't imagine how beautiful heaven sounds with these amazing singers all there. Can't wait to be there and hear them all again one day! Love this song. I can see Heaven coming down and greeting one of their own to take them back with them. I worked with the mentally handicapped for 28 yrs and where this song says crippled lives are whole again., I think of my kids (mentally handicapped) coming down to meet me when I go to that meeting in the air.

I loved the song and the fellowship. Everyone hugging and talking. Once in a while I would get a glimpse of Anthony playing and singing. But I didn't see anybody including him in the fellowship. He didn't seem to mind because his worship was truly going up to God.
