I agree. I was introduced to these wonderful singers thru my husband when we met. The Lord took him home a year ago the morning after Easter. I live with these videos on RUclips and the ones I also have in my library on LP’s and DVD’s & CD’s. They are such a help in dealing with the loss. One day I’ll see him again along with all these beautiful souls who have passed into Glory we enjoyed so much together.
I always wondered why people were crying during this song because it's such a happy song, and then I found out that it was because Brock was in the hospital, and probably wouldn't make it through the night. The Speer family found that out just before singing this song, but you'd never know it The song was recorded just hours before Brock went Home to be with the Lord.

Sylvia, I know it is hard right now for you to fully grasp the idea but from one who has been walking this lonely road for 25 years let me assure you that as long you still feel that love for your late husband and have those memories locked inside your heart, he will always be by your side. You won't be able to see him but he still lives inside your heart. Then one day, the pain will be gone as you stand inside Heaven's gates and see him again for all eternity.
My wonderful Mom went Home to be with Jesus. She had gone blind and felt that it was time to go Home. She prayed go to and I can see Jesus coming down and meeting her with his angels and What A Meeting In The Air it had to be.

Without his vision to bring together the greats of Southern Gospel into his "Homecoming Choir" so that Yankees and Westerners (like me) could get to hear and know that genre of Christian music, I might have gone my entire life without being blessed by artists like Howard and Vestal Goodman, George Younce, Glen Payne, Rex Nelon, Anthony Burger, Jake Hess, Stephen Hill and even Mary Tom Speer Reid, all whom graced this video and all of whom have gone home to be with the Lord. I know its been awhile since you commented, I just wanted to reply. You know, I grew up in the 50's n 60's in South Mississippi. When I was just a young guy we had tent revivals, complete with saw dust floors, (helped with the mud and dust.) I remember my mother rocking me and the church singing that song. Now everytime I listen to it, I hear my mother sing. It always takes me back to a time when the Spirit of God was so strong it made my hair stand up. Even as a child!

I grew up on southern gospel music and I really enjoyed these. I always think of my mama when I see these videos because she watched them all the time. I had another thought remember "We are the World" every past and present rock stars were on the song. Well this series was like that for gospel music.

So wonderful to see Glen Payne so full of laughter and excitement again. The world lost a great man when he passed away. I used to love hearing him and George Younce picking on each other...what friends they were all of those years as the Cathedrals. And to actually hear David Phelps sing like he hadn't been kicked in the crotch like he normally does...he has a good voice when he does sing and not scream!

This is such a beautiful song and would become tribute to Brock. You see how much people care for the Speer family and they sing every note beautifully. But in the back half when everyone is singing and the camera goes past George Younce and Rex Nelon, you can see and hear how much they are putting into it to honor one of their bass brethren. It is just really beautiful to see and shows how much everyone must have loved Brock Speer.

I wonder when was this video taken? I am 36 yrs.old I remember way back 1991, my father or mother would always play a cassette tape of Southern Gospel music. That may be the reason why I love Southern Gospel music so much ☺
I watch these videos and see so many wonderful people that I knew and loved from the 1940's until now and marvel at the talent that I remember and here on this video!
Growing up my grandmother had a big cardboard box in her closet of all of the Gaither Videos and I would watch them everytime I went over there. I grew up on this kind of music. Watching these again brings back so many memories of my grandparents and my childhood. So many of these singers are now gone on to heaven and I can't imagine how beautiful heaven sounds with these amazing singers all there. Can't wait to be there and hear them all again one day! I've been physically disabled with 2 painful conditions for the last 11 years, the last 6 or 7 in a recliner (I can't even lie in a bed) or a wheelchair. I long so much for heaven that I can't put it into words. This song is a glorious reminder that the day is coming, hopefully soon, when I'll be in Glory with my Lord and Savior and my pain will be gone forever! What a Blessed Day that will be!!

What a Meeting in The Air!!
I grew up on southern gospel music and I really enjoyed these. I always think of my mama when I see these videos because she watched them all the time. I had another thought remember "We are the World" every past and present rock stars were on the song. Well this series was like that for gospel music.

So wonderful to see Glen Payne so full of laughter and excitement again. The world lost a great man when he passed away. I used to love hearing him and George Younce picking on each other...what friends they were all of those years as the Cathedrals. And to actually hear David Phelps sing like he hadn't been kicked in the crotch like he normally does...he has a good voice when he does sing and not scream!
Seems to me these gatherings are the most happy people making the most beautiful harmony anywhere on earth.

This is such a beautiful song and would become tribute to Brock. You see how much people care for the Speer family and they sing every note beautifully. But in the back half when everyone is singing and the camera goes past George Younce and Rex Nelon, you can see and hear how much they are putting into it to honor one of their bass brethren. It is just really beautiful to see and shows how much everyone must have loved Brock Speer.

I wonder when was this video taken? I am 36 yrs.old I remember way back 1991, my father or mother would always play a cassette tape of Southern Gospel music. That may be the reason why I love Southern Gospel music so much ☺
I watch these videos and see so many wonderful people that I knew and loved from the 1940's until now and marvel at the talent that I remember and here on this video!
What a meeting in the air
Growing up my grandmother had a big cardboard box in her closet of all of the Gaither Videos and I would watch them everytime I went over there. I grew up on this kind of music. Watching these again brings back so many memories of my grandparents and my childhood. So many of these singers are now gone on to heaven and I can't imagine how beautiful heaven sounds with these amazing singers all there. Can't wait to be there and hear them all again one day! I've been physically disabled with 2 painful conditions for the last 11 years, the last 6 or 7 in a recliner (I can't even lie in a bed) or a wheelchair. I long so much for heaven that I can't put it into words. This song is a glorious reminder that the day is coming, hopefully soon, when I'll be in Glory with my Lord and Savior and my pain will be gone forever! What a Blessed Day that will be!!
The meeting in the heavens will be a testament of your holding on and standing with God in your physical condition. There is an end to everything.
