- Fishing a fluke around vegetation is a great technique for bass. Especially if your looking for something that will mimic a baitfish and also be very weed less around the vegetation you are fishing. In this video I discuss when, where , and why I change to the fluke around grass and other vegetation.

I’m pretty much a Zoom fluke guy and I may have missed you noting which one it is in your video but I like the looks of that soft jerk bait, is that a SK ?
Great content !!
yes its the strike king i throw both for different situation. strike king is heavier and has good action on the fall
@@ChrisFiore1 Thanks for the reply man, roughly ROF ??

Thats the only bait I can consistently get bit with on chickahominy lake....place is a grass monster
i prefer it over a senko most the time
Spot on with fluke!!! I keep a weightless fluke on a spinning rod. I tried it on a baitcaster a few years ago but, it was a medium heavy fast action and couldn’t cast it to well. How does it cast with the rod you use? Sounds like the medium action rod with fast actuon is the way 2 go for using a baitcaster which I prefer.
@@k-mparker it cast well with a good reel. and 15lb test. also the caffeine shad from strike king has a little more weight then the the zoom flukes.
Thanx Chris! Did not know there was a weight difference between the fluke and the caffeine shad. Gonna make the investment. What would be your recommendation in action of the medium rod? Fast or moderate fast?
@@k-mparker all my rods are mostly fast tips. A good reel makes a big difference as well with casting distance
Any thoughts or ideas for Kerr Lake this time of year?
summer time you can find them off shore on structure and also around cover . somtimes this time of year you can go back far in the creeks and find bass as well with fresh water coming in allowing for better oxygen levels
@@ChrisFiore1 thanks Chris. Your help paid off. Really appreciate it. I enjoy your content.
@@getthenet2358 thanks a bunch i'll keep it coming
