It's also not allowed lol. If you shoot, you have to shoot to hit. It minimizes the risk of ricochet and accidentally hitting something you aren't supposed to.
Warning shots are asinine. If you pull that trigger it is your responsibility to know where that bullet is going to go.

Lol, the whole “sleeping in the car” thing is funny to me. I live in NJ, and I once had to take my sister to get her nails done. I was exhausted, so I parked the car in front of the salon and fell asleep. Woke up around a half hour later to knocking on my window. Two cops were around my car, so I panicked and shot up.
I was still sleepy, so when I opened the door, the first thing to come out of my mouth was “I am America”. The cop must’ve thought I was tripping 😂
They skimmed around the interior of my car with consent, since they wouldn’t have been able to do so otherwise. They were very polite and I didn’t have anything to hide.
Turns out, the plaza that the salon was in was a popular drug spot. Someone saw me sleeping and tried to wake me up, but since I’m a heavy sleeper, I didn’t budge. The person called the cops cause they thought I was overdosing.
Like, nah fam, I was just a sleep deprived college student 😂. They let me off with a warning, since prior to that I hadn’t known that sleeping in my car was illegal.
Was embarrassing as hell then, but now I can’t tell the story without laughing 😆

7:43 you most likely wouldn't pass out from the pain in that situation. Your adrenaline would be to high. You probably wouldn't even feel the gunshot for a few seconds, and even if you did. You wouldn't feel the pain you'd just know you've been hit.
I have a friend whose been shot he said he didn’t feel the bullet go in at first but after everything calmed down he said it hurt like a bitch
Adrenaline is a hell of a chemical. I think I remember a story about a woman who moved a car, because her children was underneath it, all because of adrenaline (I’m not sure if it was actually andrenaline or something else)

Seeing how there is no blood marks, he probably got hit on the vest. When you get hit on the vest, you will feel it. No amount of adrenaline will help you with that. He's probably coughing because it probably feels like he got punched by a heavyweight. Also way he's moving awkwardly, maybe a broken rib or two. Vests do block penetration but they do cave in and some part of the impact will transfer

Its not madness the media just drums it up to be worse than it is for views... For instance accounting both justified and unjustified police shootings the police kill fewer than 1000 people a year in the whole United States... You are over 251 times more likely to die via medical malpractice than police violence in the US... Let me repeat your DOCTOR is more likely to kill you than any cop... On a good year cops will kill as few as 750.

Here, anywhere in the U.S., you can contact local police departments, and request a ride-along. It's like a day-in-the-life kind of thing, where you go around and see what police do throughout their day. Pretty cool for those who may be weary or uncertain about the police and what they do. We're all human.
We had a officer here in Oklahoma who was doing a ride along when a mass shooty bang bang happened (youtube friendly) and that officer was first on scene and got the bad guy, had to send rounds across a highway with cars driving to stop the bad guy cause he was running
I was really shocked when I saw those body cams. Because in my country it is very rare to see shooting scenes on the street. But when I read the comments, I think America is really dangerous so policemen to do that

They don’t use billy clubs any more, they’ve adapted the ASP Batons, they are hand held retractable batons that have a small little ball at the end of it to make it hurt more when you hit someone with it, also an excellent tool for window smashing.
Also, squad cars are not bullet proof, they are just normal SUV’s/cars that have been modified to fit their equipment. Armored assets like MRAP’s or BearCats are called in with SWAT to deal with active shooters.

Still don't know why the windshield atleast isn't bulletproof, here in Italy it is and a couple of months ago it saved the life of 2 officer who got shoot from a suspect they didn't know was armed.

I just wanted to throw out I'm an American who carries a gun every day. I've been stopped before while driving with my gun and it was no big deal. I told the officer I had it, they disarmed me and then we had a nice conversation about it. lol they even said, "why don't you join you already got part of the kit" they were very nice dudes, even let me go with a warning (all I did was not come to a complete stop at a sign). Most Americans that carry are very responsible and take gun ownership very seriously.
yea most people who carry, carry with good intentions. I watched a video of a shooter in a church, and like 7-8 people immidiately pulled out their own firearms. THATS how you stop a shooting. 2 people died in that shooting. If nobody had guns, they deaths would be times ten

They can understand the stress that police can go through in situations like this.
Also every traffic stop you get asked if there’s any guns or drugs in your car. That’s always fun. And if there is (depending on the place I know some it’s different) you’re asked to either unload the gun and put it on the dash and you give the officer the clip /bullets / shells, or you tell the officer where it is and they retrieve it.

I mean its pretty sensible no? To check you have a license for any firearms you may be carrying and to know if you have any within reach that could be pulled on them in a second etc?
Where do you live? Because I've never been asked that ever. If your tag comes back as someone who has a previous history of guns drugs etc then yes they ask but not EVERY.
Also if you have a CCW then you already know to tell the officer even though if the car is registered to you they know you have a CCW but will ask if you are carrying. But before they even ask you would have let them know you are carrying, where it is with your hands on the steering wheel.
A police officer will never ask you to handle your own firearm, because that's extremely dangerous. At the very least, they'll want to know where it's located. If they don't feel comfortable about the firearms location (or your behaviour), they'll have you exit the vehicle and they'll secure the firearm themselves.
Many Koreans are misinformed about gun laws in their homeland because most people don't see it outside of law enforcement and military. It is legal to own a gun in Korea, but only available during hunting seasons and you have to go through police station to retrieve your gun.
Thats pretty odd considering the situation with North Korea. I'd have assumed there would be a form of mandatory ownership incase of a breach of the ceasefire.

Those billy clubs are called asp's in the US. They are expandable batons ranging from 12" up to 26" during my early days in the USN as a MA before going to OCS and becoming a commissioned officer I carried a 21" Asp which I still have today.
Not everyone owns a gun, but those that do tend to have more than just one. My father owns guns, but those are strictly hunting rifles for deer/turkey/etc and were actually my grandfather's before my dad owned them.
Also yes, 7:00 it would of been better for that dude to just go in on a drug charge, thats a nonviolent offence. But getting arrested for attempting to kill cops? Youre screwed for the rest of your life.

forreal. now, these guys can't even fart funny without police thinking you fired a weapon at them. just take the 2 months to a year in jail for the drugs, as opposed to getting at minimum 25-life for attempted murder on a peace officer. It's crazy to see people not used to seeing a gun or violence, in America we all grew up to this, I was even shot at in a drive by when I was a little girl playing with my friends , it'd be bliss to not know this kind of violence I grew up in.
Lived in NYC and NJ all my life. Heard a gunshot go off in public twice in my life. Once was my dad shooting a single bullet in my backyard because he wanted to test out the gun. He wanted it for protection. And 2nd was in the bronx but it also couldve been backfire from a car.
I know there are places where theres a ton of gun violence but even growing up in the 80's and 90's in Queens NYC I was never exposed to gun violence.
I'm not trying to take away from your experiences but I wanted my input in there as well because not everyone from the US experiences these type of violent encounters.
Reminds me of some stories I read by americans vacationing/living abroad after having spent most of their lives in the US.
They'd talk about how when they're in europe or japan or australia etc. suddenly hearing a balloon pop or a car backfire would immediately make them flinch, or how they'd position themselves near an exit in a restaurant with a clear view of the whole room, in case they had to quickly escape the area.
Meanwhile their native peers would just... not do that. That sort of stuff didn't even cross their minds in the first place. Americans are straight up traumatized by fear of violence and they consider it as completely normal.
Then you live in a shithole. I once heard gunshots a half mile away from this weird police chase for a guy that that shot at some random houses and stole a car and then like 15 years ago a guy murdered his ex at my local grocery store and killed himself after a chase but there aren't weekly gunfights in 99% of America. I even live in the bad part of my state and all I've got are those two stories, I mean I read about occasional gang murders in the new on the really rough parts of town but most people aren't playing real life GTA on their morning commutes.

Depends where you live in the US, but yeah it’s not common at all to see these situations in person in the vast vast majority of the US
@@chltmdwp It is an entirely subjective view depending on where you live. These things are far more common in cities than suburbs or in the country. Across 3 years of living in 2 apartments in major cities of 2 different states I witnessed 7 shootings AT THE APARTMENTS. These were not the projects or bad neighborhoods or slums, these were regular apartment complexes with families near major businesses and universities.
What is common is perspective based, and either divided by population or total land, the US pretty much dwarfs the rest of the world in the number of gun crimes (minus war zones and places outside of civilised authority). So from the perspective of the rest of the world, this is incredibly common in the US.
This happens only if you live in the USA where guns are a daily issue. Yes I know not every one has a gun or gets into conflicts but the risk I run in Belgium is 0.00000001 % (I am not a criminal , I don't do drugs or any other major criminal activity) . If you have the same profile in the USA you still run a risk every day because there are mad people WITH GUNS. We have mad people too.. not that many fortunately but even if you meet one.. they still have no guns!!

I wish more people would watch things like this and see how many life threatening encounters police resolve pretty perfectly and then judge that by the handful of truly terribly handled cases.
yeah police are actually pretty cool here in the US. also, i have seen all these commenters on other videos claiming all kinds of things of police. demanding them to higher standards. but my first thought is... do any of these people understand how it is to be a police officer. im sure some perspective comes first before judgement. i mean how are these comments suppose to judge something they know nothing about. also im not in reference to you.

I live in the Midwest of America and I alone personally own 150 firearms. Also, FYI you can still shoot out bulletproof resistant glass and it still protect you. It's not completely bulletproof either, if you shoot it enough it will eventually start going through.
Also bullet proof glass is usually 1 way. You cant shoot through it from one side, but you definitely can from the other side. But that point is moot because police cars in the US dont have bullet proof glass because its expensive and heavy.

see, a lot of people do not see this side of policing. the only see what the media chooses to make national headlines but the fact is, there are most shootings like these (and even ones where its the police officer that is killed) that mainstream media just doesnt show
Yeah I totally agree, they always show the bad stuff and cut it out of context or people make lies up with the incidents and bring race into it, like even if the person needed to be handled and it was necessary media still brings race into it. We need the good side of police shown.
If you want to see the stress cops go through there is a video where a police officer has a mental breakdown while trying to arrest a suspect.
For the most part the stress is all in their heads because these situations are RARE, like they never happen, its not really a rational fear for the most part. It's still important to be ready for anything that could happen, but cops are literally more likely to die getting hit by a car passing by during their traffic stop. I mean construction workers and delivery people are at more risk of death then cops. So they should be provided with ways to get grounded, all the funds go to militarized stuff thats never used and also to lawsuits bc they mess up so bad so often. If that money was redistributed to train the cops better and realistically, and also some going to help their mental health to keep them prepared for the job then they wouldn't be going through that for the most part.
When MJ did that little impression of that scene from "man from nowhere" it was pretty cute. I'll admit...i watched it over and over.

You guys should react to the interviews of Jenifer and Jordan Turpin. Just watched thier interview this morning couldn’t stop crying at the trauma they went through and still went through. And I couldn’t stop crying at how brave and optimistic they are, there heroes and all there brothers and sisters as well.

Some fun backstory. Originally none of those Koreans owned any firearms. They all thought the Government would protect them. (A very common thought even in Korea) Until one of the big guys heard that police weren't gonna be in the area. The day of the riots almost all of them went out and bought a firearm that day to protect their business. And well, it worked.

One time I was showing a new guy in our company one of our routes (truck driver) I drove 10 hours to and from Detroit, Mi. This new guy asked If I could drive him to his girlfriend's house "just over the Illinois State line" thinking he meant about 30 miles west of where we were at I agreed. It wasn't till we were on our way in my pickup truck he told me it was 120 miles south then across the state line. I dropped him off and started home, I drove about30 minutes when I just couldn't go any further, so I pulled into a little rest area in the Hoosier state forest, reclined my seat and went to sleep. Not too long after I was woken up my a tapping on my window. A county sheriff deputy had found me and wanted to know what I was doing there. He thought I might be drunk or on drugs. I explained to him how I'd driven a semi for 10 hours then drove an additional 4 hours in my private vehicle and I got tired and pulled over for safety. He then told me the rest area was closed after dark and I'd have to move on, so I moved on and eventually arrived home. But yes, if they find you asleep in your car they check to see if you are under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

Here in the USA, the biggest problem with guns and crime are in the states/cities that have the toughest gun laws that make it hard for a law abiding citizen to own a gun, but the criminals don't care about laws. In the states/cities where it is easier to have guns and a lot more people have them, you have less violent crime and murder. Most cops are good, but there are some bad cops also and the media and politicians try to make the police in general look like a bunch of racist bigots that just go out looking for people to shoot, which is just not the case. People here are going off of feelings and not facts.

i would like to see their reactions to the other side, like that person in florida who is suing the police for arresting him for stealing his own car even though he actually owned it.
What was the reason behind it. was it stolen by someone else and he took it back without permission from the police first or did someone call the vehicle in as stolen to screw the actual owner.
they are human they will make mistakes. doesnt make it correct but is to be expected through human error. then there are just hateful humans who get into power(almost all leaders). doesnt make it right but it makes a truth.

I think it would be a good idea to have them watch a video on the 2nd amendment and the history of guns in america. Why america has a gun culture is very deeply rooted in our history.
in that case they should specifically watch a video about the beginings of NRA propaganda since thats actually where the gun culture starts. it didnt start in the 1700s, back then it was used correctly to form militias.

The police arrived and shot him dead within seconds. They never stopped to find out who he was, or to try and reason with him or to tell him to put the gun down - he had no chance
And as far as I know it is not illegal in the USA for children to play with toy guns - so the situation int he uSA is now out-of-hand ridiculously dangerous
It's not illegal to play with toy guns but it is illegal to remove the orange cap on the barrel, which shows that it was a toy. And while he was 12, he was also 5' 7", 195 lbs and highly athletic, looking much older.
What actually happened was a local called the police, saying a young man was running around pointing a gun at people, and there was a chance it might be a fake. The officers dispatched were not told it might have been fake. As they pulled up, Tamir had the airsoft gun in his waistband, drawing it and aiming at the police from only around 10' away. Both a grand jury and FBI investigations determined the officers were not at fault.

And if you're trying to say he was too young to do anything wrong, I would point you toward any of the info out there on gangs, such out how they recruit young kids and the atrocities they have them commit on there behalf.

You guys should go to a shooting range in there in 🇰🇷. Even if you will never have a gun or the chance of using one outside of a range, learning about the weapon and respecting the abilities of it will give a greater understanding of it. Also gun safety is always important to learn even if you won't need it.

The cop who got shot at the end, it most likely hit his vest, which is bullet proof. But even being shot with a vest on it still hurts like you got punched or kicked hard, ribs can even still break.
That's probably why he was coughing, from the force of the bullet hitting his vest that close.
Even the heavy plate ones we use in the military still hurts when shot.

FYI, when a cop in America fires a gun in the line of duty, there is an investigation to make sure it was a good shoot. For example, if it turned out the suspect was unarmed and running away, the cop could get into a lot of trouble.

Sadly patrol cars are not bulletproof, and being inside it, it’s commonly referred (during a shootout) the tomb, which is why when under fire they’re trained to leave and run behind the vehicle for cover.
Guns arent really that common in the US. Its been my experience that about 1 in 5 people own guns. Most of those people that do own guns are very responsible with them and if they were pulled over by the cops they would tell the police they have a gun and make sure they were perceived as safe for the police to interact with. Only a small minority would be criminals or people with some kind of mental distress.
I live in a state where about 1 in 9 have a concealed carry permit and tens of thousands carry without permits. Around here, locally, almost everbody owns firearms. Statewide, nobody will ever know because the State Constitution prevents the State from maintaining any form of firearm database. Most of the heavily armed States are the same way. I think the 20% firearm ownership percentage is a myth, I would say the numbers are better than 50%.
There never was any sort of registration prior to 1968 so there are 100 Million+ unknown, throwaway firearms in the country.

Because American's who own a fire arm are held to a higher standard then other American's. You have to keep up with all laws, training, certification, and anything else. You can't EVER screw around with a weapon(especially concealed)and think you will still have the 2nd amendment.

If you are convicted of a felony that carries 2 years or more in jail you get put on the federal prohibition list. Then you have to go through a process after you complete your sentence to get off of the list. That hardly qualifies as some kind of "higher standard". Almost half of the States are now "constitutional carry" where you don't even need a permit to openly carry a firearm. Most of the firearm restrictions placed on the general population by the modernists during the 20th Century have already been removed. Those that remain are being destroyed, one by one, in the courts by an increasingly Conservative population.

Generally speaking people that legally own and carry a concealed weapon aka a CCW will tell the police if asked. It's people who illegally get ahold of firearms that do the damage, generally. Police shootings aren't as common as people think. The US is actually 75th on the list of murders per Capita, technically it's probably more like 90th but a lot of countries don't report deaths as murders because it will hurt tourism or their perceived image. It's still not great but getting so many people in close proximity of different parent cultures usually doesn't end well sadly. Most of the violence the US has is in big urban cities where ideologies and cultures clash. Usually those places don't allow firearms either. So it's back to what I said about people who illegally possess firearms. All that said, anyone can snap anywhere in the world. Like Britain for instance, too many firearms related deaths so they outlawed them. Then people started using knives and I'm not sure if they did it or not but they were talking about outlawing knives. People will find a way to be trash if they want to.
US is pretty bad for gun violence specifically tho, and lots of massive tragedies or mass murders, I mean for a "developed" country it is pretty ridiculous, your comparing them to places with far less power and rules and stuff.

Might need to let them know that in the US, most criminals get guns illegally, unregistered or stolen. So as a citizen, legally owning a gun protects you from criminals who can get guns illegally.
I think the problem for America is that those illegal guns are way to many. Still I often hear about people who has legal guns going insane and shootings relatives or other people and those are the situations that I don't understand
I'm not American tho and the only guns that I've touched are my grandpa's hunting rifles so I don't want to judge 😅
It could just be me, but I always found the hyper fixation on the actual firearms to be missing the root cause of our problems. In my opinion, a lot of our gun violence is caused by gang crime and our atrocious mental health. Because nobody in even a moderately healthy state of mind would even think about committing an atrocity like a mass shooting.
I think if we want to solve our gun crime issue, we should be focusing on the two things I mentioned above rather than the means by which the atrocity was committed. Cut the tree at its roots, and it will wither and all that jazz. Just my two cents.

It's way easier and faster to remove most of the guns from the country and make it really hard to get one, instead of trying to improve the mental health of the people, which is something abstract and non clear. Yes, there are bad cops, but there are good cops too. The good ones are people who joined the force to help others, the bad ones are people who joined the force to have power over others. The thing is, when you’re being pulled over, you don't know which one you’ll be facing. Being polite to cops won’t kill you, being combative probably will. I tell the young people in my family, If you didn't do anything wrong, don’t argue with or fight with the cops there in the street, because you’ll lose every damn time. Stay alive and fight it out in court.
