Thank you Captain Parsons for your service.
Also a very well penned letter you wrote.
Sad to see experience and skill leave our skies. Makes me very worried to fly and about who comes in next. History in the last 20 years demonstrated you don't need a qualification to get a job or the skill. Our safety was in the hands of experienced and skilled people like you 🙏

Hi, at this time of the year the wind in generally from the South East. That'll mean if you sit on the right side of the aircraft you'll have he best view of the mountain, city and Table Bay. Have a lovely flight and enjoy the Cape. Regards Phil.

I like how the last thing plane says is "retard" (for all those great technical reasons, yes, yes).

Even though I don't fly, I always appreciated each and every pilot for getting me safe and sound across continents from SA and back safely.
To see the service corporation that is the cANCer and their hyenas of corrupt politicians destroy Africa's pride and gem of an airline is a disgrace, not only to the pilots who flew these amazing machines (with a decent safety record that rivals many other airlines) for the country that is now in tatters all because of a corrupt elite.
Good luck and godspeed to the SAA pilots past and present!
