Small correction at 08:07: I say that 'High School Search' is only for schools in the US; however, a few Indian (and International) schools are 'listed' and can be selected using the same option. If you go to any of these schools, you should be able to find them there. If you don't, select 'not listed'.

1-) If I had different school in class 10th( icse) and 12th( cbse ) then who will submit my class 10 reports ??
2-) As a Indian applicant what matters most? Standardized testing (Sat , toefl) or school grades. I mean to ask what will be considered more?
3-) i just got 94% in class 10 but my school and me ruined class 11 ( just got 75 %) but I am back on track in class 12th. Will my class 11th grades effect my chances?? Or if I do well in standardized test then college would not consider my 11th grades ??

1). Your school transcripts are submitted by your counselor and not by any school; the transcripts just need to have the school stamp on them. All of your transcripts will be submitted by your current school counselor (or any teacher who is helping you submit official documents if you don't have a school counselor).
2). It's impossible to answer that as different schools weight different aspects of your application differently. Generally, the hierarchy is Extracurriculars=Essays>LoR=GPA>SAT=ACT>TOEFL=IELTS.
3). Of course your college will look at your 11th grade results. A good SAT score can compensate for a bad GPA and vice versa but one doesn't hide the other completely.

I would recommend DET as it's simpler, cheaper, and requires significantly less preparation compared to toefl and ielts.

Well the same case is with me.. But you can ask your father to get J-form after that you can get your tax return issued.. In about 1000-2000 rupees from some lawyer.
You'll have to fill an "Non-filer Tax form" which is simply you saying you're not required to fill taxes in your country

Thanks for the video. super helpful. My son is trying to apply as ED. If we select 30K per year as the possible family contribution and we are expecting around 60K from the university. If the university decides to provide lesser scholarship, say only 10k and looking at the financial details, they feel we can afford more, will the contract be binding as an ED applicant if they give the admission? Will there be a call or discussion before we accept since it would be binding?

Just want to know that when do we need to submit css application?? When we get admit or when applying for College ? And which section is most important to get a scholarship
1. Before getting admitted: You submit CSS alongside CommonApp.
2. All sections are equally important: CSS is not an application, it is simply a form for the college to understand your financial situation.
CSS profile is for the students right? Then i have written own home as option because i live with my parents. After that it only ask krati's asset, housing information, how much krati' earning. I hope the app is assuming that i earn or i have assets obviously my parents have own home and their assets?

Hi Pranav! If you're applying for fall 2023, you would be required to submit your CSS profile between October 2022 and February 2023 depending on your college's specific deadline.

I am 12th completed student I already applied to the colleges and even got my college decision , I got accepted to almost all colleges I applied to just got rejected by nyu And Uchicago I shortlisted University of Connecticut for cs but because of some reason i step back.so I am applying again for fall 2023 and even I am ex participant of next genius scholarship for juniata college but unfortunately I has been denied. @@rajjadhav6763 Hi Raj. The CommonApp resets each year in August for the subsequent application cycle, you can use the same account to apply again come August.

No, the November 2022 deadline is for people who would be applying in fall 2022. 2023 deadlines would be revealed sometime next year, you need not worry about it now.

Each college has a specific css code you can find online by searching "x college css code". You need to select college one by one.

Hi Yash! There is no way to get a 'general' CSS profile fee waiver for International students; only a few 'specific' colleges offer the waiver. You can easily look up those colleges online. Additionally, CSS isn't as expensive as CommonApp. Submitting your CSS profile to one school costs only $16 or INR 1200. Hope that helps :)

Hello, Claudia. First-years usually enjoy a much more healthier acceptance rate (often double or more) than transfer students; exact statistics vary from university to university.

No problem at all.
The financial aid application and common application go around the same time. Usually (and not always), the financial aid application is due a month after the common application deadline. For example, if the common application is due Jan 1, the financial aid application would be due Jan 31. I would recommend submitting both of those at the same time though. More often than not, financial aid applications have errors that colleges contact you about and offer you time to fix. You can’t fix those errors if you submit your financial aid application on the very last day.
2 additional things to note:
1. Sometimes, both applications can be due on the same date. Look up your college’s specific deadlines to ensure you don’t miss anything.
2. In 99.9% of cases, fin aid needs to submitted before you get accepted. Colleges like Harvard and Princeton are exceptions (need-blind schools) that allow you to submit fin aid apps after you’ve been accepted.

Hey I want to know how to change my year of joining college it was 2021-22. And I took a gap year now can it be 2023
You don't have to do anything manually at this point. The current version of CSS is not for you. CSS will reset in October 2022 for Spring 2023 and Fall 2023 applicants. You would have to fill out that version. Hope that helps :)

Both have roughly the same deadlines but CSS can take longer to fill depending on the complexity of your financials.

You don’t need to send scores right now. Most unis accept self-reported scores on the CommonApp. You would need to send your scores only when a college accepts you and asks for them.
