I am going to get one, an off grid version, for the 4 acres I have in Central Ohio but it probably won’t be until next Spring 2023. I will first put in an access road (driveway), then prepare the location for my incredibox. I cannot wait, but must prepare. I get more excited about it each time I view your videos. Keep up the great work, and wish me luck! 🙏

I've been camping since I was 2yo. Then when I was 12yo my Dad, Mom, & I built a houseboat that was 20'x60', that includes porch, back storage motor, generator, gas tank, & a 4' swim deck. I ran all the wires & cables under the boat & between the pontoons. It was scary sometimes. Under the boat you can see all the way to the bottom of the lake & while in the dock you had to watch for snakes coming to check you out. We had a big microwave. A small under cabinet microwave and a induction cooktop. One morning we were arguing about which was fastest. We boiled water in measuring cups in the microwaves so we could see which one boiled fastest. They all came to a rolling boil at about 2 minutes. All were 1 cup water. Within 5 seconds from the first to the last. I only use induction now. Never thought I’d give up gas.
We also had a solar system put on the current 1400sf house . 13 panels x 360w. One LG battery $28,000. SDGE requires grid hook up. They keep taking our power. After 10 months they are finally giving us a credit.
maryriha Thank you for that information about the induction cooktop. I'm a future Incred-I-Box Grove resident doing research on what kind of appliances to purchase. These kind of comments are very helpful.
I live in a studio without a real kitchen. I have a portable induction burner. I love that I can put it in a drawer and have the entire countertop available to cut up the mega salads I normally make. The induction glass-top is the easiest to clean with only windex and paper towels it’s at least 4 years old and still looks brand new.

I really like that you don't see the solar panels on the brackets at all from below. It just looks like a small travel home. Can keep a Lower profile that way when traveling. I don't think most people would think there was such a nice big solar setup inside. Is there a tongue box for the standard offgrid at $30,000 with the whole setup? Could I still get the washer hookup and put a washer under the counter?
Keep everything in bins if you travel regularly (or bins to put things into). You can quickly take them down and place them on the floor before moving. Put magnets on the cabinet doors and drawers to keep them closed while moving, or take them out and then put them back when you stop.
Randy, I want an Ace dog. If he finds a lady dog and they have puppies, can I have one? My favorite tiny houses are the incredibox and the one with an open sitting loft and the bedroom was underneath. I watched Incredible Tiny Houses everyday on my cellphone. I got interested in tiny homes when I was looking at another tiny home website years ago and fell in love with a very tiny house call the Acorn. It's ideal for one person.
It'd be cool to loan an 8 x 16 Incred-I-Box to one of your (bonded/insured) friends for a week and have them make a daily video showing how they move from town to town. They can show how to hook it up, secure items inside before traveling, maybe even set it up in a Lowes or Walmart parking lot for the public to tour. That'd be a great video to watch, especially if the people had fun personalities like Randy and Amanda.
What happens if the solar panels are covered with snow or get dirty? Is there a built in heated feature to melt snow off of the solar panels in case a disabled or elderly person owns a solar incred-i-box and can't climb a ladder?
JUST A GREAT SUGGESTION TO HELP YOU OUT TO BETTER SELL THESE INCREDIBOXES. A max fan or fantastic fan, installed through the roof would be perfect for off grid living. It can blow air in or out. It can pull air through the windows too. Great for cooling down the Incredibox. Randy you should consider them they pull dampness out too, from showers . People love them in their RVs.
So, I have a question... You may have already addressed this, if you did I missed it.😕 Where I live we tend to get snow in decent amounts. (Southwest Colorado) Is there a different way to do the solar or are they able to be gingerly swept off?
Question 🙋🏼♀️ I saw an earlier video where someone mentioned eliminating the end 3ox4o window. Would you be willing to seriously consider this? I would love it if you would. I was thinking this could shave a little cost in materials, labor and time but give your customers more versatility, maybe I am wrong here but wouldn’t it be easier for people to cut in a window in their size preference and also be able to position it exactly where they want it, than to remove that window and fill the hole with ESP’s, what are your thoughts about this? I wanted to add I am so excited about seeing EVERY SINGLE model home!! Thank you for what you are doing, it’s important work.
It's an assembly line home... all the same. You can cover it with an architectural element and make it a feature wall if you'd like, or remove it. Personally, I'd cover it so if you change your mind or need to sell it later, you'd still have that very popular window.
?-- Randy did you say in an earlier video that solar probably wouldn't work on the moutain? Not enough light? Just wondering, because I am really thinking of doing an off grid on the moutain. Thinking of all options. You two are great! Thank you for all that you do.
Yes, he has said twice now that there are too many trees to get enough sun to charge your home's battery. Now, if you are getting the solar for short electricity outages, then you can charge it from the grid, store the power, and have enough for a few days (if you are careful not to run a microwave) in an emergency.
Amanda, can the OG incredi-box pick your jacket up for you?! You guys' silliness is contagious, I kid you not. And, I can't even imagine the two of you spending the night together...that would be gross!! ( a word Amanda often uses in reference to Randy.) Ha! Really enjoyed the antics in this episode...keep them coming.
Many, many years ago when the old bridge was there, I spent a few nights under it with my parents as they fished through the night. A lot of memories from that area, Newport and White Pine.
Question ..... I love the Incred-i-Box and I love the 12x20 more .... What are the chances of a little bigger size home, say 12x30 (360sq ft) specifically for the upcoming Mountain lots?
@@randyholt7090 - Do you know how much it costs to transport a 12' wide tiny home? The permits and the process are very expensive. That is why there is only one 12' wide home on the ITH menu
The Solar package here would add approximately 400lbs (2 batteries @100lbs. each, three 350 watt panels at 42-46lbs. each, and the Charge controller, Inverter, and surrounding box at 50-75lb.) The dry weight of the Incred-I-Box is 4700lb., so 5100lb. before furnishings.
Are residents who have the off-grid, specifically the solar, eligible for state and federal tax credits for installation and parts? I saw a government website explaining and an application to file. It is available, the tax credit, for systems from2018- 2023, I believe. Didnt know if this applies to the tiny house owner since they are considered RV's? Can someone research this and get back to me, and others and to ITH,? please and thank you.

@@susanbeals7597 Yes I realize that which is why I was asking about putting one on a Mountain lot
That's why i love you guys
Great show Randy Amanda ACE in Newport Tennessee parking lot next to Douglas Lake.Great views.TeddyBear of Knoxville Tennessee.

You know what would be sweet a hi lo incredibox with gnarly tires to go way in the outback ❤️
Amanda, cute outfit. Sure wish I had a place to put one of these.
Love the stories. ❤️❤️
I am buying...
I would love to have one of these and live in the mountains tops.
I love the off grid . I just don't know if my truck would pull it. I have a Chevy Colorado.
The Solar package here would add approximately 400lbs (2 batteries @100lbs. each, three 350 watt panels at 42-46lbs. each, and the Charge controller, Inverter, and surrounding box at 50-75lb.)
The dry weight of the Incred-I-Box is 4700lb., so 5100lb. before furnishings.
@@reynetallents Thank you
Appalachian Mountain Man Opera! Salute! Hee-Haw!!!!
Take an Incred-A-Box to Yellowstone in Wyoming. The bears wouldn’t be able to get in and you could sleep easy!
Happy Labor Day👵😍
Are residents who have the off-grid, specifically the solar, eligible for state and federal tax credits for installation and parts? I saw a government website explaining and an application to file. It is available, the tax credit, for systems from2018- 2023, I believe. Didnt know if this applies to the tiny house owner since they are considered RV's? Can someone research this and get back to me, and others and to ITH,? please and thank you.
Great video! Question: will the complete off-grid model (w/composting toilet) still have plumbing for a regular toilet?
Yes, so you can change out the toilet at a future date if you decide to plug into the grid later.
