In this video (Riding Scooter for the Very First Time (Beginners Guide)) I go over the essentials for any beginner, which teaches you a safe and easy way to ride a scooter moped. Starting with the proper riding position for any scooter rider, then I walk you through the correct way start your scooter moped in order to begin riding, and lastly show you the "walk-with-it, run-with-it" method. The "Walk-With-It, Run-With-It" is a slow, go at your own pace style of riding a scooter. This method helps you feel more in control and comfortable with driving a scooter. It also helps you get a handle of your balancing skills. Figuring out how to balance your scooter while learn to ride a scooter for the first time is very important.

Never thought I'd ride a scooter as in the 60's I was in the UK rocker scene.
40 odd years later how times change.
Just bought a Honda pcx125.
Bloody brilliant little thing.
Head down arse up is no longer my favourite position on a bike.
Go to Italy the only cool thing to be seen on is a scooter.
Don't want the top of your $400 left shoe scuffed by a gear shift.

you have helped me at getting comfortable with actually getting one of these! I am nervous and scared especially going to the dealership and having men judge me.
Trust the men at the dealership aren't judging you. Their only real focus is making a sell (saying what they think you want to hear to get you to buy) and as for your confidence behind a wheel of a scooter. Well, the more you drive the better you'll feel about it. So take things slow and just get familiar with your scooter. First by driving around in your neighborhood or empty parking lots. When you are ready, level up by driving in low traffic areas with slow speed limits. Then once you feel more comfortable and confident ride around more people and heavier traffic areas. Hope this helps some.
Considering getting a moped. One that's under 49cc. Mainly for commuting back and forth to work. Your video definitely gave me an idea of what to expect.

Riding a scooter for the first time. Easy on the front brake especially on dirt, gravel, wet conditions and pulling up to the gas pump.

I seriously don’t know the answer about hard-front braking. Your tips here make great sense but what can happen if you front brake hard on a scooter on nice grip dry road? As a kid on our Schwinn Stingrays you could make the bike forward flip/somersault hurting us badly. I’m thinking a scooter is too rear-end heavy to worry. What might y’all think ?
Front brake delivers 70% of braking power, while rear brake delivers 30-%, while Papa John's delivers pizza.

with my man. That was not helpful at all. Kept just saying "don't fall, just turn the throttle and lift your feet, that's all!!, don't fall, just don't fall, don't hit that tree and don't fall......"

I watched you videos before learning my new scooter. You helped me feel comfortable and ease into my bike. It was a wonderful ride in the country. Then I was hit by a car, the driver was not paying attention.
So now I am back to watching your videos so I can get back that confidence I felt the first time.

Thanks for your video Ramen. Your videos seem to have helped a lot of people who might be nervous about getting on a scooter for the first time however I didn't like your walk with it idea. If a new rider is `100% new then maybe this works for the first or second time while they are in the car park practicing but once they know the power of the bike they shouldn't use this again. One of the mistakes many people make is to keep their feet on the ground even at 30 mph. This can be extremely serious and cause serious leg injuries. It is better to find the bite point for your bike (the point when the engine kicks in and starts taking you forward) then lift both legs off the ground. Most bikers after only a few trys only have one foot on the ground when they come to a halt like at traffic lights.

Ive been riding a razor ecosmart electric sit down scooter for a year now.
I got used to how to lean into a turn and balancing on a motorized vehicle.
I bought a used chinese scooter two weeks ago and the learning curve was basically nothing...
