Der Konzeptkünstler Ahmet Öğüt arbeitet mit den verschiedenen Medien Fotografie, Video und Installationskunst zu Fragen kultureller Identitäten und politischer Ideologien. Häufig verwendet er Humor und lockere narrative Strukturen, wenn er eher ernste und drängende soziale und politische Themen kommentiert. 2009 repräsentierte er die Türkei im türkischen Pavillon auf der 53. Philipp Misselwitz ist Architekt und Stadtforscher und leitet seit 2013 als Universitätsprofessor die Habitat Unit-Fachgebiet für internationale Urbanistik und Entwerfen-der TU Berlin. Er studierte an der Universität Cambridge und der Architectural Association in London. Als Berater für die GIZ und UN-Organisationen sowie im Rahmen seiner Promotion beschäftigt er sich seit 2005 mit Urbanisierungsprozessen in Flüchtlingslagern und entwickelte partizipative Planungsstrategien zur Einbeziehung der Geflüchteten bei der Verbesserung ihrer Lebensbedingungen. Er ist Gesellschafter der Urban Catalyst GmbH und Gastprofessor an der University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg.

He often uses humor and loose narrative structures to offer his commentary on rather serious and pressing social and political issues. In 2009, he represented Turkey in the Pavilion of Turkey at the 53rd Venice Biennale.

Philipp Misselwitz is an architect and urban researcher. Since 2013, he has been a university professor at the TU Berlin’s Habitat Unit-Department of International Urbanism and Design. He studied at Cambridge University and the Architectural Association in London. As a consultant for the GIZ and UN organizations and as part of his doctorate, he has been working on urbanization processes in refugee camps since 2005 and has developed participatory planning strategies to involve the refugees in improving their living conditions. He is a shareholder of Urban Catalyst GmbH and a visiting professor at the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg.
