I have some aldi steak rounds and mini potatoes to cook tomorrow I think I’m going to do a small scale recipe based off your video. I glaze my potatoes in melted butter, thyme, garlic powder, and lemon juice. It goes amazing on potatoes and other veggies. Great video man I love your setup,
About how many charcoal briquets were used to grill? How long were the potatoes cooked over the indirect heat? Thanks for the video, haven't seen potatoes grilled on the BBQ before. I have a Weber 18-inch kettle grill.
I just want to say thanks for responding so quickly this video was great and my first stake turned out really good my potatoes needed a lot more salt they didn’t turn out that good but I just poured the juices from the steak onions butter and garlic juices over the potatoes and they were fine like that thanks again man
number one thing here folks is that it dont matter what grill company you use unless you are sponsored by them. you can dig a hole in the ground and cook steak
Try adding butter lots of butter, thyme, and fennel to the potatoes in the foil wrap. Roll the potatoes in corn oil before putting in the foil wrap and seasoning. Cook in indirect heat the whole time it takes your coals to get hot, around 30 minutes or more depending on size of potatose, then add the steaks to direct heat. Test potatoes with fork, should go through them like butter, if not keep cooking. Pull off, split, add more butter sour cream, chives, and bacon bits. Better than any thing you can get at any restaurant
Man I like your setup that's pretty awesome with the sink, and umbrella with the wood. Did you make that, or buy that? Sorry if it's mentioned already, I just stumbled upon your page lol.
I've been watching RUclips videos all morning yours was the best had to use regular Idaho potatoes instead of the red ones though LOL it came out really great!
This is how you put a steak on a grill. Drives me bananas when I see people just throw them on there all willy nilly. No one wants grill marks that go with the grain of the meat lol
Justin Rahim I prefer cooking over as hottest as possible. Remember, all you need to do is to seal the meat by searing it, so as that meat retains as much juice as possible. Then you move meat to indirect heat to bring it to desired doneness. Don't worry, your steak won't burn. 2 minutes per side is enough to seal it. Just don't turn even if you see blazing fire.
I like to rub some oil on my steak for a binder. It helps the seasonings to stick as well as keeps it from sticking to the grill grate. I typically use olive oil!
It’s not the best I know. When you start out on RUclips you tend to not have many resources for music so I used the bland old RUclips audio library. I’ve since grown and found better music! My latest video has much better music and I’ve changed my style. I hope you will check it out and let me know what you think! ruclips.net/video/A3p6RKkLZV0/видео.html
Ryan Austin I washed my hands after placing the steak on the grill. If I showed how many times I washed my hands in my videos it would get a little old lol 😂 thanks for watching!
No way the potato packs were finished by the time you dropped the steaks and cooked. Unless you like raw potato packs. Steak was overcooked too. Don't ever sear then move to indirect heat to "finish".. those small strip steaks will cook on their own when taken off grill and rested for about 5-7 mins. Cover then with aluminum foil if u want a more done steak. Bad example of steak and potatoes....
With so much extras on top (butter, veggies, etc.) what’s the point of eating steak? Could be chicken or Norwegian salmon, who would know? Steak should be straight up with salt and pepper cooked med rare. Done. Anything else is sacrilege.
So you showed us to wash the hands but didn't show us how your steak turned out inside? hehe. Cmon bro. How could you. Was that a rare with 3 min on each side? I will NEVER KNOW. LOL

Liked the part about washing hands. Super important. That was the first thing my Dad taught me about cooking
What an enjoyable and simple video. Thank you.
Thank you! I appreciate the comment 😊
Baum Grillin'z what did you oil the stake with (This is my first time ever trying to cook a stake)
I used extra virgin olive oil. You can also use vegetable oil. It helps bind the seasonings to the steak. Hope it turns out well for you!!
Awesome wrap around table! I really enjoyed watching this. Now i'm hungry.
Thank you! I enjoy cooking on the table! Thank you for watching!
I think I shed a tear. This was a masterpiece.
Homo
Looks very good! Way to keep it simple!
Thank you!! A simple steak is all you need sometimes!
Looks good, I'm definitely going to try this. I like Montreal Steak seasoning but I may give Chicago a whirl. Thanks
*Slams down seasoning* “
that’s some dang good rub!” 😂😂
LOL!
Overcooked the steaks?
Lol possibly
@@BaumGrillinzBBQ I could tell by the way they moved, lol
I’m sure the butter helped.
Nice job on this-quick, well thought out, easy to watch.
Simple! Thanks ❤️
Great video man earned my sub!
Question ive had a small pan of water in my charcoal grill for ribs could I or should I do the same for the steaks
What did you use to start the fire? Like 2 chips of something
Those are called starter cubes. Made from wax. Weber has a brand.
number one thing here folks is that it dont matter what grill company you use unless you are sponsored by them. you can dig a hole in the ground and cook steak
A lot of people know that....
I've Smoked Chicken Wings with a grate,6 Concretet blocks,2 Cookie Sheets.Wood fired,amazingly good.
thank you ,nice and easy like its should be , looks great

txhookey what type of potatoes would you use
If you’re such an expert, why are you watching other people’s videos? Society is so annoying with always having to be heard.
Man I like your setup that's pretty awesome with the sink, and umbrella with the wood. Did you make that, or buy that? Sorry if it's mentioned already, I just stumbled upon your page lol.
Thank you! I made it all from scrap wood I had around the house. It turned out really well. I enjoy it!
@@BaumGrillinzBBQ no problem! It did turn out well! Wish I could have you come make one at my house lol.
After you moved the potatoes to indirect heat, how much time you left them ?
How long did you leave the potatoes on after moving to indirect heat?
This looks delicious!! Well done mate! 😌👍🏻
I'm hungry now... looks great!

@@BaumGrillinzBBQ thanks for replying it came out great I'm going to do this every time now🤙🏽
I'm new to grilling and this is gunna be a dumb question; but what kinda steak is that; and will this work with bigger steaks?
That is a New York strip steak. And yes this method works with any steak 👍
I like the table you built around the grill you have plans for that?
Thank you for sharing I cook the steaks like from your video and they were delicious. Thank you.😋
So glad you enjoyed them!! Now I’m hungry :)
Incredible
Garlic butter is literally the best flavor with the steak!
I agree!!! Very delicious!! Thanks for the comment and watching!
Yummy!👍💪
Thanks Fonzo! It was a yummy steak!
Well done man!
Thank you!!
LOL. you're right. They were WAY "well done". Those steaks were gone.
Thank you! The steaks came out great!
Woohoo! Glad you had a good meal! Nothin like a steak cooked to perfection! Happy Grillin’z!! :)
I'm moving in!
Dinners at 6:30 sharp. Don’t be late 😂
Awesome no bullshit well done
Looks really good and juicy my friend!!!🔥🔥👌🤘🏻
It was tasty!
The man didn’t even cut into it. Cmon now.
Onion and garlic scrub... I never thought of that
wow, some body gets it , no talking just show how its done, love it, please do more.
How long for potatoes and what temp?
Awesome cook!
Nice video! I'm trying this recipe this weekend! 👍🏻

It was! 😊
@@BaumGrillinzBBQ Yay!
How long should you cook after searing steak to get medium?
With how thin those steaks were, they were probably already way past medium when he took them off the flame.
3 minutes per side? Some I’m assuming these are well done?
Real good vid.
Thank you! I love steak!
Awesome!!!!!
Thanks!! 😊
@@BaumGrillinzBBQ you’re welcome

Ha ha ha this kind of simple and rough way I unexpectedly like very much.
Sweet thanks!!
You are welcome!
Excellent. How much time it’s took??
nice work bro!
Thank you! I appreciate it!
Those steaks looked so yummy!!!
Marvin Mcmiller they were very tasty!!!
If I'm cooking steak directly over the coals, do I have to wait until the coals turn over to grey before cooking or while it's flames

nice job man ,thats my stlyeof cooking
THANK YOU SIR GOING TO TRY THIS TODAY
Enjoy! It’s gonna be good :)
How long do we cook on indirect for medium rare?
With thin steaks like that, you don't need to put them on indirect heat. He seared them over the direct heat for way too long already.
Have u ever tried reverse searing?
I'm definitely trying this tonight! :)
There is a reason that he didn't cut it open. Those steaks were medium to well done BEFORE "moving them to indirect heat to your desired doneness"
I love ur videos... great ideas.
At what temperature did you grill at???
fredyh357 500F is good.
Amazing looking steaks. But why add oil at the beginning? Not bashing just curious never seen it done before.
Baum Grillin'z thanks i will
what temperature for medium steak
135-145 internal temp 👍
Good job
Thank you 😊
Does anyone know what temperature I should let the grill get to before I start to cook?
It really depends on what your cooking. If your doing steak the grill can be between 300-500F depending on your grilling method.
Nice😜
Thank you!!
Good stuff 💪
Yes sir
why scrab the grate with onion?
That Subaru!
Pfft. You lost me at the “wash your hands”part
Jk gonna do this tomorrow
What is oil steak?

Nice job and cool table, but your chopping technique could use a little work. I'd hate to see you slice off the tips of your fingers.
now I need steak lol. ;)
I like ribeye
I do as well!
thats.. not enough seasoning
Nice:)
Thanks!
Woulda been nice to see what the inside of the steak looked like but whatever.
I would say NO to the virgin oil burns and has a bad taste, use reg oil
Great tip! Thank you for watching!
Wow thats a dry steak! LOL
Why so many haters 🤷♀️
such depressingly nostalgic music 😨

Wash your hands after handling that steak. Then you grab the steaks and throw them on the grill. What?

Everything was perfect minus the mushrooms
I gotta have them! So good!
You burn the rub.......its more risk because may be a bitter taste....
With so much extras on top (butter, veggies, etc.) what’s the point of eating steak? Could be chicken or Norwegian salmon, who would know? Steak should be straight up with salt and pepper cooked med rare. Done. Anything else is sacrilege.
Don't agree at all!
Sharpen your knife bro. No reason it should take 2 hands to slice a potato. Be safe
just missing some rice
you shouldn't cook in aluminium foil, its poisonous, also says on the packet
I agree. I have since learned this 👍
Why you so angry slamming everything lol
don't forget to wash your hands, great tip.... does after seasoning the meat LOLZ
Gotta keep things sanitary!
Too much green stuff on the steak for me
I enjoy them once in awhile. Not always though. Love just the flavor of the meat!
It's difficult to take a cooking video seriously when it uses a GLASS chopping board.
So you showed us to wash the hands but didn't show us how your steak turned out inside? hehe. Cmon bro. How could you. Was that a rare with 3 min on each side? I will NEVER KNOW. LOL
Sorry!! I’ve learned my lesson since this video lol! I always show how the steak turned out now 👍👍
