Hayward Pool Filter Bulkhead Union Leak

Hayward pool filter leaking at bulkhead union. This is a common occurrence with Hayward filters.
The whole point of HAVING a union is so you can detach the filter from plumbing and do whatever work needs to be done to pool equipment. If you loosen bulkhead and re-tighten you have a 50/50 chance of it leaking. The only fix is to buy a bulkhead union fitting kit :(
