On 29/03/2019, Commissioner Of Railway Safety has conducted speed trail between Pattukottai and Thiruvarur on the newly converted broad gauge line.
Hope that SR will start service as soon as possible.

We used to travel to Karaikudi (KKDI) via Pattukottai during Metre Gauge time. Pattukottai is the place to have breakfast. Though 27 years have gone, still remember the canteen on the platform.
