@@elsvaughn7959. In the original video from Sting, Quentin Crisp is shown in New York. I was filmed in the late 1980's when Crisp was living in the Bowery district of New York.

Sting is really close to the Marley Family or he was at one time. He's performed with Dameon several times. If you can find it. They did abtribute to Bob together live at the Grammys probably 16 years ago. If you can get a decent video of it I highly recomend. You will hear how Sting and Marley both flow throw Rens music and stylistic choices. It was a great tribute. Have we not shown Andi, The Big push doing Nina Simone??? That is phenomenal. I'd be very interested in Andis comments there, Ren told The charismatic voice that he had lost some higher range because of how he sang that song. Anyway. You 2 are always fun to watch. 😂😂❤❤
Yes! Andiroo! Your music IS fire, dude (if I do say so myself lol) Thanks for this one, I appreciate Andi's input precisely because his own versatility in music, and the eloquence and precision in expressing it. Thanks! P.S. Police rocks! lol
One can only guess how Ren has been able to absorb every genre and generation of music historically. From Bardic troubadour to Love Music, 20s and 30s tthen Wade in the Waters, Nina Simone, Ren attracts familiarity into his beats.
Andiroo in the house, yes, love when BP and Andiroo do reactions, I think him and Ren would get on really well and would love to see them collaborate ❤ 🏴
The Police were a 3 man group consisting of Lead singer and bass guitar Gordon Sumner AKA Sting, guitar Andy Summers and drummer Stewart Cooeland (whose dad Miles was at one time CIA Chief)
This young man is one of my favourite guests, on any channel - he's intelligent, educated, has a great ear and ability to make SMART comments and observation for all the videos he's watching, and the artists he'd learning about.
The flat cap was popular all over the UK in the early to mid 1900s. Everybody wore them, they were even adopted as part of the school uniform. Although seen as the working man’s head dress, they were worn by everybody. Find photos of early 1900s working men and most will be wearing flat caps.
The flat cap is very English style. Specifically Northern England, I tend to think of it a more Yorkshire man style. According to Wikipedia, the style dates back to the 14th century England.
Always here for this song by Ren and the Big Push! An amazing cover of an amazing song! BTW, I love Andiroo's songs on his channel, so talented and fabulous vocals! A reaction to his music would be nice 🎉🎉🎉
The original, Sting plays bass, VERY WELL! So that's what Ren is playing Bass Chords on Guitar and the Bass Guitarist is matching... Btw. "Ignorant" means "not knowledgeable/uneducated" (of something...) BUT (equally) it CAN mean/or be use as "DISRESPECT" (if someone "is disrespectful") By intentional 'feigning' "not knowing" (to be disrespectful and/or sarcastic) Ren is a Genius tbh! And I Love "The Big Push" and his other Collaborations! Great reaction guys! (Never apologise for not knowing! Better to admit you don't know than look fake or stupid) Cheers from London 👌🎸😎🏴🇬🇧
The hat Ren is wearing is called a flat cap and it was worn way back in the early 20th century, initially by the working class men in the north of England and the Midlands.
Andi has good insight. REN has said in interviews that he thinks in terms of drums when he’s rapping. Changing his tone with the toms, rapid fire snare, etc
Andiroo should check out the Police catalog. Andy Summers the guitarist, was a well-respected jazz musician and session player for years before joining the Police, and Stewart Copeland, the drummer, is famous for his polyrhythmic beats and was also heavily influenced by world music.
Excellent reaction and conversation from you both. I think Andiroo would like the flow and cadence in the song “The Low Spark of High Heeled Boys” by Traffic, preferably the live version.
3:01- the music actually starts ❤ The Big Push does a GREAT version of Manu Chao's Bongo Bong!! PS- Andy must not be paying attn bc ren always solos in the bass w or w out the lead guitar in the band lol

Lol, the hat is called a 'Flat Cap' or a 'Newsboy Cap' and i suppose you could call it British. Interesting fact. Im sure you are aware of the T.V. Show, Peaky Blinders, where all the characters wore these caps? British author John Douglas, from Birmingham, said hats were used as weapons in his novel A Walk Down Summer Lane - members with razor blades sewn into their caps would headbutt enemies to potentially blind them, or the caps would be used to slash foreheads, causing blood to pour down into the eyes of their enemies 🙊 ouch! Im glad Ren is not a bloodthirsty ganster 😂 its more of a fashion statement 😊 xx

Sting did not write this about himself (I am sure others have mentioned this in the comments). Ignorance literally means unaware. It's not always a negative thing. You just don't know until you do.
