Cruisers for us older guys who no longer have to drive real fast to have fun. We want to ride in comfort. The windshields, which you guys criticize keep the big bugs off, getting beat constantly by the wind, and in some instances, bird strikes.
The advantage of a heal/toe shifter is never having to put your toe under the shifter.Every shift is down. It was strange to get use to at first. But set up the correct way... it's the best.
I made an almost 5,000 mile road trip on a 10 year old version of that bike and it was awesome. That is a great bike and I would buy another one over a HD any day. The Harley didn't beat you, Sean did, you clearly held back. I have beaten a number of Harley's with mine.
I have a 2007 Vulcan Custom which I bought used in 2009. It's been a good bike. When I bought it I didn't know that the drive belt had some rock damage until I took it into a shop. About a year later, the drive belt snapped from the rock damage. That's the only major issue I have had with it and was probably due to the previous owner hooning it. Also, you say how good the front brake is. I have never really cared for the front brake on mine, it has always felt kind of wooden to me. The back brake has a really good feel to it, I kind of need to use them both together.
Great bike. I owned the 2015. Put 6500 miles on in one year. It has a really bad rear suspension. It will jar your back straight up out of alignment. I really wish Kawi would’ve put a little bit more in the rear suspension of this bike. With just a little more effort, they could have a really great bike on hand.
Victory Judge. I’m only 6’3” but I’ve done a few serious long haul trips on it and got off perfect. No aches cramps or pain. Same couldn’t be said for the so called other tall guy bikes. Harley Fat Bob is also good stock for taller guys as is the Wide Glide.
@@ericoswald5222 Do a search for 2017 Victory Judge. My bike is on here. There’s sea in the background (and I have a different accent) and you’ll get a good close up look round. Last year (August) I rode from Scotland to Spain and the year before to Germany. Comfort central even after 400 miles a day some days.
I'm about 6' and got a Vulcan 900 custom. It's a very easy bike to ride on, very forgiving but 2 things I hate about this bike are 1- the seat... after about an hour is what I can do, then I gotta get off make sure my tailbone is not crushed. 2nd thing, cruising above 100km/h(60mph) is bad. It vibrates quite a bit and while I can 'sort of' keep up with a stryker or anything above 1300cc... the bike is screaming
The vulcan 900 is my current bike and I agree with you, Too heavy for a first bike. However, My first bike was a Suzuki gz250 and it was waaaay TOO small for this day in age (back when the national speed limit was 55 it would have been perfect). I think you're recommendations (rebel 500 and vulcan s) are actually perfect for 2019. Powerful enough to go anywhere, but light enough for a beginner to maneuver around at slow speed without much trouble.
hey, scooter, I HAVE the same one on my tricked out Vulcan. I need water on 5 hour rides and have a blue water bottle pop-top that fits right in the chrome water holder. So you do your bike, and I'll do mine, thats why there are different bikes. Im NOT a sheep.
What is the difference because u r tall? The bike fits everyone from 5ft to 6ft6 so you guys seem to b stuck on is it big enough for a man... Well women get tall and big so really it's kind of sexest really
I bought a used Vulcan 900 Classic 2007 LT . Riding it for Three years now . So far it has been good to me.
Looking at a 08 tomorrow!

Yea it's dumb to those who don't understand

Just think see saw.
I sat on a Vulcan. I found my Boulevard M50 to fit better and was a great first bike. I’m 6’3”.

Sometimes the rider makes the difference, the RoadGlide is a faster bike than this Vulcan so that's why Sean won.
@@draganm7823 Sean would have won even on the Vulcan.
What Harley did u beat.. I ask because iam getting a 06 900 Vulcan this weekend
i love how you started off with a scripture God bless stay safe i just got my endorsement and have $2,800 hope i find something good

Would think the idea was to see how a tall guy fits on the bike not watching a rideout...!!

You can adjusted the rear end to be softer
Don't care for racing but interested in reviews. Still considering one of these.
Sorry guys 6’1” and 6’3” is not tall, I’m 6’6” 295 lbs, still looking for beginner bike.. Will listen to all suggestions 🙏

Ok in a race with a bigger bike ... You have to Max out the rpm's , you can take him on the start , he will win top side . 😎
Keep the race short. Lol
Not one mention of anything’s to do with tall guys.Seen an advert for a vn900 earlier, said ‘great bike for short guys’. So, what is it?

The bike was built for High RPMS . I added an over drive front pulley for the High and tone down the high RPM sound
anyone know why their website is down?
I'm 5'3". I thought this bike was too heavy for a first bike. Rebel 500 and Vulcan S were more my speed.

Is someone 5'7" count as someone able to ride this?
Good job bro.
not enough head shaking. The video is too stable. I was looking to get dizzy as hell.
More interested in the performance and common issues of the bike then how tall it is or that it has a windshield and u think it's dumb
No need to buy a new 900 custom or classic loades out there Low miles
Get that stupid cup holder off the handlebars.

LOL, my WIFE rides an '08 900, I ride an '07 2000 !!!
You'll appreciate that windshield once it really rains you your butt
Don't drink and ride.
Downshifting😒
