My Dad fought in the 96th Division! He came back with some nasty PTSD according to Mom!
The Army carried the victory on Okinawa at the Shuri line. See 96th Division also the main line of resistance was met in the south before the Marines even arrived south.

The ships were loaded with large shells that could have cleared that hill where so many of our men were killed in minutes.

@@andyk55 bc there were 1000s of commanders on the scene...Those big shells are not super accurate and you could easily lose as many men from Blue Falcons than from enemy contact.

My father was in the 4th marine division his birthday was Feb 19 he spent his 21st birthday landing on a island call Iwo Jima and listening that narrator keep going on about Americans getting killed @@cgdulin was enough for me God bless

If I had to guess, a japanese person made this. Cant admit that in reality, yes it was a hard fought battle, but in the end, we killed many many many more of them than they did Americans.
