+lacrahuntington sorry, that is nonsense. Most people can not tell the Difference. I did a blind test with the same track in different qualities and the result was quite interesting. While 96kbit/s mp3 with constant bitrate was not good, 128kbit/s was ok, 160kbit/s and above were perfect (highest rate was 320kbit/s) and I could not recognize differences between the higher qualities. So for me it turned out that above 160kbit/s mp3 is nice to have, but not necessary, as the track sounds equally good then. Maybe it depends how high end your audio equipment is. Sometimes I get the feeling that people are just good in claiming they know best and are the ultimate expert. Like the guys who get their motorcycle licence and after one week they ask in the forums if a bike with 120hp can possibly be fast enough for them or if they should better go for more power. Large numbers are fine, but not without the experience and knowledge that belong to those numbers.
