Actually, the statement that a qubit can be “BOTH 0 AND 1 at the same time” is an oversimplification. The statement that a qubit can be “anything in between” is in fact more exact. A qubit exists in a superposition of its two "basis" states partway between two extreme poles representing 0 and 1.
