- Maulana Jalaluddin Balkhi Rumi was born in Balkh Afghanistan and this poem is one of his most famous. The Legendary Ahmad Zahir composed it into a song. The subject of the this poem is that God is everywhere, no need to travel the sands of Arabia to seek God when God is your neighbor or within your soul, If you are willing to see God or His house, Please cleance the mirror your your sould and you shall see.
Mawlana, Ahmad Zahir, beautiful Farsi language and the most beautiful message. What else could one ask for? This is treasure.

...and this is only him (AZ) who can sing such difficult poems. i am really speechless how he gives rhythm to these words coz even while reading the words break out... both Balkhi and Zahir were genius in their own professions!!! I ADMIT!

A great singer Ahmad Zahir, he will always life in hearts of afghans for ever & ever. he is so good that so many years passed his death, but he is still the favourite in Afghanistan. I know we do have some other good artists, like Ahmad Wali, Farhad Darya and a few more of that level, but they can never be close to Ahmad Zahir, his voice has a different effect on hearts. I just love to listen to all his songs and every single song is a favourite. I don't know what was so special about this man.

He was a student of a great Sufi named shams e Tabriz who was from Tabriz Iran. But Rumi was an Afghan though!
Mawlana was a Tajik Muslim Sunni from Khorasan, not an "Awghan". Please, educate yourself.

No, Indo-Iranian is a branch of languages that comes from the Indo-European branch. Not every language comes from this. But I like your message, it's true the cultures share alot of histories and simillarities, and the borderlines created by British are the reason for many of the problems in these regions.

هم خواجه و هم خانه و هم کعبه شمایید
ده بار از آن راه بدان خانه برفتید
یک بار از این خانه بر این بام برآیید

Afghans and Turks can try as hard as they want to make Rumi an Afghan or a Turk, but the world has not forgotten and will not forget that he was a Persian man.

ok whats so funny about it ? I know in Iranian schools they try to teach you're somehow superior and the only farsi speakers, but YOU should read a book and enlighten yourself. Yes, Rumi was born in Balk, one of his middle names is Balkhi. I would love to see your reaction on your racist face when you read that. I'm sure you'd rather live with hate instead though. Look up the province of Balkh, I dare you.

We never do cause we have some legends who cannot be compared to any poet or scholar in the world like Maulana Jalaluddin Balkhi!!

The song is against Haj. Rumi was bisexual and agnostic. “When your lover is here, why are you going to Haj”? … stop showing religious Haj pictures. Mulawna would have been against your suggestions.
