"one of the hesitations is people saying this business isn't for them, but really they just aren't educated"..........or MAYBE....here's a wild idea.....they just AREN'T INTERESTED
Or they are actually educated and aren’t afraid to research outside what the company itself says lol
This business is for everyone! I used to think that when I wasn’t educated! It’s a great opportunity! Financial freedom!...Totally being sarcastic here.
Yeah... can you imagine.. not all people want to sell shampoo?! WOOOW!
Seriously! Not everyone is cut out to be an educator, or a police officer, or a cook... can you imagine someone saying to you, "Being a cop isn't for you?! You're just not educated about what an amazing opportunity it is!" Do you, boo and stop asking me to live your life.
@@floefloe8925 And I remember my Entrepreneurship lecturer saying "Not everyone can be an entrepreneur" and I believe I'm one of them. So I'd rather work a 9-5 job.
It's extremely embarrassing that these women apparently seem to legitimately believe that everyone can be the "chief executive officer" of the same company.
No matter how bad things get I remind myself I could be trapped in a pyramid scheme convinced I'm a business owner!!
😂
Cannot stand when they say corporate jobs are pyramid schemes. A pyramid SCHEME and a pyramid STRUCTURE are two different things.
Can you explain the difference?
WHAT R THEY TALKING ABT “YOU CANT BE A CEO IN A 9-5 BUT YOU CAN BE WITH MONAT“. Monat reps- you have a CEO. his name is Ray Urdenata. You cannot be him. Unless this is a sequel to Freaky Friday that I haven’t heard of.
😂😂😂😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Lol they are such misguided losers
I just resigned, I’m a hair stylist and my clients hair started shedding. They are social paths and don’t even know it.
😅😅😅😅😅😅😅
"time is a mindset" pshh, tell that to my 18 credit unit semester, 3 year old and full time job
Right? I spread my time between my job, my child and husband my sobriety/mental health and sitting on the couch watching Netflix. And it’s glorious.
My thoughts exactly. They always say “you’re always on your phone anyways.” No ma’am. Definitely not.
Me right now.
Well, you’re just not trying hard enough. Your priority should be selling their hair product. (I’m totally kidding, lol)
Why do they think that we are “so miserable” in our 9-5? I personally LOVE my job!
I agree! You clock in but then you actually get to clock out. Your pay is guaranteed. You get paid time off.
Thissss! I love my job. This is the career I always wanted. I never have to work all these extra hours to guarantee my pay.
Right! Yes I hated being a waitress, yes I hated working in retail. That's why I went back to school for my bachelor's in business. So I could get a job in an office because I feel like that would be a better fit for me. But some hunbots seem to think that I would be good in their "business" because I'm going to school for business. Like no, I'm learning how actual business works and this ain't it. That's why I tell them to fuck off when they slide into my DMs.
The way they describe 9-5 just shows they`ve never worked it.
Me too! I’m an aged care nurse and work 645 to 315 , 11days a fortnight and totally love my job!
I love how huns loop all office jobs into this ubiquitous "9-5" term. Like, you're talking about thousands upon thousands of different types of careers, workplaces, industries, business cultures, etc. If one is not a good fit for you, it's a good bet that another one is! So funny but they're all treated as synonymous.
I LOVE working set hours M-F so that I can fully step away from work at the end of the day/weekend. All that said, there are so so many industries you can go into that do not follow that basic 9-5 structure (i.e. freelance work), while still not being a scam company! Yikes yikes yikes
People in 9-5s can make $100,000 a year (before a management title) without recruiting and most like their job.
Yes, I have definitely noticed that they lump all careers as 9-5. Many biotech jobs start anywhere from 6-7 in the morning. With many people in the biotech industry returning home anywhere from 4-7 in the evening. It is a bit tedious. But it is far more enjoyable than having to work in an MLM and when you go home for the night, you can forget about work. You even get days off. I know some people in my industry that gets the entire weekend off. They get all holidays off as well. An MLM, you've got to work every day for all hours of the day and you don't get a break, you don't get holidays off. You can't take a vacation.
I agree. Editor in Chief of Vogue is technically, according to them anyway, a “9-5” corporate job. Anna Wintour makes $2 million per year in her salary and lives a life envied by a lot of people. I have a feeling that Anna is not thinking about how miserable she is in her “9-5” and wishing she had the opportunity to “own her own business” with Monat.
Are you telling me that a person working a 9-5 as a speech therapist or dental assistant hates or kindergarten teacher is going to gain more joy and fulfillment selling shampoo?
@@daricej9753 yes my dad works in finance and by his second year he was making a lot these Huns need a reality check
Worst feeling ever is getting a text from one of my best former best coworker/friends....haven’t talked since they left. And it’s for their stupid Monat Skype call. 😐😐
That’s always the worst. It’s like they weren’t going to reach out if they didn’t want something from you!
Emily Fine right!! I didn’t join in on the call. Lol
So sad!!
Also, does the official CEO legit step aside like...Here Queen, you've qualified 😆😅🤣☠
Melanie Chamberlin 😂😂😂😂
and for a new person all the time with how "equal" the opportunity is according to them
They also seem to think that everybody only wants to try one brand of make-up or skin care or hair care. I try new stuff all the time.
Absolutely! As do I. I switch my shampoo up all the time
“But it’s like baking a cake! You have to follow the recipe!”...except you can bake a cake with ingredients from different brands.
And variety is the spice of life. Sometimes you find something better or different that works for you and that's totally normal.
I have to stick to a specific company for my foundation, etc. I have a skin condition (rosacea) where it can get really bad if I use other companies makeup. I have to use Vichy for my foundation and my face wash has to come from the company La Roche-Posay. If I get face wash from other companies, it makes me break out really bad. I am okay with using blush, face powder, or eyeshadow from other companies such as L'OREAL. However, my foundation and stuff like that needs to come from Vichy. It is expensive, but I would rather use tested products that are in the clear by my country than use products that will make my rosacea flare up and/or react with my medication for my face. And I also like switching up my hair care. I have really thick hair that is very curly. So, I use hair products that are good for hair like mine. Sometimes I use Dove haircare. Other times I will use Pantene or L'Oreal. Sometimes I will pick up an expensive haircare product.
YES! I enjoy trying new things, I get FOMO if I don't!
There are 86,400 seconds in a day, do not waste one of them on this scam.
tImE iS a mINdSeT 🙄
GREAT POINT!!!
Wait - pyramid schemes are illegal....:but corporate jobs are pyramid schemes? Mmmmmkay. Pick a lane, girlfriend.
Omg that is such a good point!!
I work corporate 9-5 and I am appreciated, I love it and I'm tangibly productive for 8 hours per day. And my income is reliable. And I get paid vacation. And insurance. And stock options. And creative freedom.
And, your income is not dependent upon other people you being into the company. You are paid a guaranteed wage/salary. You are not required to purchase your company's product as a requirement of your "employment". In Corporate America, there is one CEO for the company, not all these pseudo-CEOs with these self-imposed fake titles to make them feel important. In Corporate America, your paycheck comes from the top. In these pyramids, the pay comes from the bottom.
Same!!! My company brings me on to every project they need help with… so far so great!!!!
Yes! Having a “regular” job is not a death sentence.
All the girls who bullied my sister in high school are in Monat now. Feels like sweet justice 😂😂😂 can't wait till they realize they've been scammed.
No scam. There is absolutely no requirement to sell. Some people even just join for the extra discount. How can something be a scam when you don’t have to purchase anything extra a-month or are required to sell anything each month? And the start up fee is not really a fee, you’re basically just buying products that you get to keep for yourself at a discounted price. Just trying to educate you before you start making assumptions about a company you know nothing about
@@maryvollmer you're very much in denial. Almost anyone can see plainly that monat is a scam. Look at all the scandals they've been involved in. I mean type in Monat in any search bar on any website and the results are 99% negative unless you're purposely avoiding negative content about it. It's one of the most obvious scams out there.
@lilly lazer right! I worked for an airline for example. Flight benefits, cash savings plans, many many chances to move up. The only way o move up in monat is to have MORE people join below you. I don't have to eat dinner while on a zoom call! Instead I can fly for $50 and get upgraded to first class! I don't see monat doing that.
Mary Vollmer “the start up fee is not really a fee” yeah no, it is. You are required to buy the products. Unless you don’t have to pay/buy anything to join it totally is a fee
When someone says no, it means no.
Like when someone hits on you in a bar and you say no, but they continue to harass you. P-R-E-D-A-T-O-R-S.
Take a shot every time someone says “In this business” 😂
And “9-5”. Lol I’m already drunk
I'd collapse on the floor by the halfway mark.
I am on my third drink
Grrrl, you're gonna get alcohol poisoning 🤣🤣
Good thing I'm not trying to be CEO of my 9-5.
By all accounts the vast majority of people have more chance of that as opposed to eeking out a living via a MLM scheme
Why do these Monat reps always have their hair back in a greasy ponytail if it makes your hair so amazing?
Lmaoooo
‘Oil treatment’
There's only one lady who's hair looks normal. The two pony tails kinda look like they have really thin hair and a possible receding hair line.
bet the girl with her hair down does not use monat and sells well because she looks like angelina jolie's cousin
They are doing one of their signature ‘oil soaks’ on 74 day old hair because they know when they get in the shower they have to wash and repeat with 22 different monat products.
‘Coachable’ aka be willing to be manipulated and brain washed ✌🏻.
"coachable" = do what we say, or else..
“YoUr cOrporAtE jOb iS a PyRaMiD SCheMe” lol that’s always the dumbest argument. You get guaranteed benefits and pay for your time and work no matter what. That’s more than they can say about their MLM.
Exactly, it's beyond frustrating that they focus solely on the shape of a structure. MLMs are pyramid schemes because of *what goes on* inside the structure.
Pyramid schemes are harmful because the people working the hardest are making the least. Their uplines are vampires to their downline
Also paid vacations. My
Corporate job gives me paid vacations. And when I’m on that vacation *gasp* I don’t have to work. If I decide to have children we get paid maternity leave. I don’t have to work during labor, or right after while I’m supposed to recover haha. They drive me nuts.
And you don’t have to recruit people 😂
A lot of jobs Don’t have benefits. These mlms are preying on people who are already victims of our shitty economy.... daycare costs are astronomical so a lot of people can’t afford to go to work if they have kids, etc etc etc.
They all sound the same! Every MLM uses the same verbal jargon.
For reall tho😂 i did a few mistakes in the past almost joined another MLM company i had like zoom calls with 3 companies to "join" them and they kept saying the same thing also it already sounded fishy to me you had to buy a starter kit first for 300/400 euros and then you can start with advertising... thank god i was broke back then and said im not in a situation to pay that yet lol if i wasnt broke i would probably give it a try bc sounded like a dreamjob😂 god saved me from those bullshit crap businesses
Jusr to show how bad these things are, my mom joined an mlm a year ago and they convinced her that if she spends $700 on product a month, she will make more than 3k a month! SEVEN HUNDRED DOLLARS. I was furious because she fell for it and did that for months! Do not join these things! 😤
Oh, man!! So sorry!
woman in the top right corner should have listened to that inner voice (about Monat being a scam)
RIGHT haha she was halfway there
Give it time...
when will these huns understand that NOT EVERYONE WANTS TO BE A CEO.
A "CEO" 😂😂😂
A broke CEO at that 😂
I mean, I'm an actual CEO of my own small business. Product development, advertising, manufacturing, payroll, taxes.... that stuff kinda sucks. Often, I envy the employees who get to clock out and leave the job behind until they punch back in, lol.
Right, I actually like having a boss. I like having a corporate job. I don’t WANT the responsibility of making those decisions.
🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻exactly not everyone is made to be a business owner
This was 100% scripted! That's why there's just the 3 of them and no one else pretending to pay attention to the call.
I also love the way they are pretending to just have a round table discussion about the "opportunity" when it's just a preplanned convo.
I'm assuming the top left is their upline and she keeps making faces like she's so above it all. Arrogance does not = a "luxury lifestyle".
Some of the monat huns that I know advertise free webinars that are set up like this where “potentials” can hop on and listen to guest speakers spew garbage to get them to pull the trigger on joining.
She's definitely the unline. She admitted she's been doing this longer than she remembers ...
Hahaha good face reading of the top left clown.
doctor: “you have 22 minutes and 6 seconds left to live”
me:
Monat Hun: "You have 22 minutes. You could totally find 3 people in that time."
“Pyramid schemes are illegal” 😂 I swear every mlm says this and it’s crazy to me cause they sure like to scam people out of money.
@Heather Clark word salad. Cult response
Why do all these huns say “in a 9 to 5 you’ll never be the CEO?” First, depending on what you do and your level of experience you could potentially become CEO. The CEOs don’t start as such, they work their way up. No one starts their career as a CEO. Second, they aren’t freaking CEO of their mlm and have very little chance of becoming one. Are they completely brain dead?
Exactly! How many people that started off as a sales rep in an MLM have become the CEO? Zero! In a corporate job you actually do have a chance, however slim, it has happened many times before.
Exactly
Plus they assume everyone not working in MLMs works 9-5, some work nights, some work 12 hour shifts 3 days a week (in the uk), some work late shifts, some work early shifts. All of it is better than working in an MLM and not getting paid 💅💅💅💅
I now hate the words "this business", along with "financial freedom". 🌞🌞🌞
I wanted to support a friend, and bought the OVER priced shampoo & conditioner for $112.
Second time using it, I noticed a chunk of my hair falling out. Went back to using my own shampoo, hair didn’t fall out. I decided to give it another shot, but the same thing happened, my hair fell out in another huge chunk. I threw it away!
Also.. I love how these girls are saying, omg we don’t have to work an 9-5, but now they work a 24/7😂🙄STFU
😂
Oh wow! That did look bad huh? I almost wanted to try something new and do this… being a stylist and working 7-8 hrs ain’t so bad 🤷🏻♀️😭
I’ve been using many of the products, do not sell them, have no interest! But they have worked WONDERS for my hair! 🖤🖤🖤 everyone’s body is different, everyone’s reactions to any products will always differ! 💛
"time is a mindset" goodbye lmao
LOL. Next will be “Pyramid scheme is a mindset”
it drives me crazy when they say they are business owners, like you don't own a business when you are peddling an MLM, none of these women on that call "own" Monat
It’s someone else’s business. You’re just the customer and the sponsor
"It's not a pyramid scheme. Pyramid schemes are illegal" Just because they are illegal, doesn't mean they don't exist. That's like saying robbing a bank is illegal. People still rob banks!.
Drug dealer: im not a drug dealer
Anyone: yes you are
Drug Dealer: no because that would be illegal
😂 Zactly!!!
People can't speed. Going above the speed limit is illegal!
If the company was so amazing she wouldn’t have to be defending it
This! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
They are not defending anything, they are making a video to educate others on what they do 🤔 their Are a lot of misconceptions about the industry and that’s why they are talking about it.
@@Powerofprosperity they forgot to mention that most people in MONAT don’t make ANY money and that they make MORE money by recruiting people and getting people below them. just because they sell products doesn’t mean it’s not a pyramid scheme. 🤪 it’s a scam!!!!
@@Powerofprosperity lol you're a hun and we know it
@@Powerofprosperity What company/scam you "work" for, hun?
"They don't know what it is"....
These huns don't seem to know what it is either, as it certainly isn't about selling products.
Hahaha when she said tHiS IsNt sAlEs 🥴🥴🥴
If you have to convince your audience that your company is not a pyramid scheme, it’s usually a pyramid scheme
Yes, they "don't have time" to waste on the silly things they see you doing. It's a nice way of saying no thank you.
Yeah, I have 24 hours in a day, and I wouldn't waste a second of my time trying to shill some BS MLM crap.
Grown up women playing office.
Gurrls, playtime is over.
"we all have 24 hours in a day, go to bed an hour later!" because the mental and physical benefit of getting a good night's sleep isn't as important as making that coin, honey! Why aren't we allowed to just want to relax anymore?!
THIS. “You waste time on your phone and watching Netflix, you could use that time to be working!!!” Like bitch NO I need time to rest my brain and debrief from the day and be a human being. The constant pushing of HORRIBLE work life boundaries is abhorrent
“Everyone has 24 hours in a day”. I hate this. Some people require more rest than others. Not everyone is built to hustle and grind. In fact, most people probably aren’t.
I don’t understand why consultants don’t know they are working for a big corporation. Monat is run by 16+ executives at corporate. The founders are Luis and Ray Urdaneta. Ray is the company’s one and only CEO. Consultants not only have to pay to work for corporate, but work on commission based sales and recruitments. They are independent contractors with no benefits, and they do not own their own businesses. I don’t like how these MLM corporations treat their recruits. When I have worked at a contracted job, I knew exactly what my hourly wage was. Also, I didn’t have to pay my employer, but was paid an hourly wage to train on the job. My husband’s non-MLM corporation covers my health insurance. He has been given all kinds of opportunities at his 9-5. We are so thankful for his job.
Yes it’s literally baffling
Exactly
MLM.......no sick pay, holiday, bank holidays, shares, pension or over-time rates.
No health insurance benefits
@@Seoulcaliber no vacations
Super random, but...I made one of the best meals of my life while watching this video. Spinach and ricotta tortellini with alfredo sauce!!
The way you edited the video made it look like you were in the zoom call as well, and the faces you were making had me dead. 😂 best video
"We all have 24 hours in a day" really grinds my gears. It's not the same 24 hours for every person because our responsibilities differ. I have kids to take care of and a house to maintain, in addition to my full-time job. Compare that to people who, for example, have no kids, a part-time job, and a small apartment. They're likely to have more unobligated time than I have.
You can't convince me that "time is a mindset."
MLMs: This is easy. You’ll be happy leaving your 9-5 jobs! You’ll be your own boss making your own hours and it’ll be easy money.
MLMs 2 weeks later: You should be working hard 24/7. You should be working while using the toilet! You can work while everyone sings “Happy Birthday” to your kid! You can work on the way to the funeral!
Don't you love how mlm reps' definition of pyramid schemes are always closer to the definition of an mlm than a classic pyramid scheme...
Joining an MLM is breaking barriers? HAHAHAHAHAHA!
I work for an oil company. We have to clock in for safety. However, it is also because the Union makes sure we are paid for even 15 minutes of over-time at 1.5, x2 or x3 rates.
I don’t understand the point of this whole call. It’s 3 women all pitching the scam to each other, saying all the scammy talking points to each other. They’re all in it already so who are they trying to convince?! Maybe this is to be shown to new people but if it’s just them talking to each other it’s hilarious because it’s like they’re all trying to con each other into the same scam they’re already in. 😂
“Everyone has the same 24 hours” yes.... and cuz of my mental health I need 9-10 of those to sleep
Mlms fav terms:
Hun
Boss babe
Babes
Girly
My own boss
"Entrepreneur"
I can keep going, but im cringing so hard that I'm gonna barf
And "pyramid schemes are illegal". 🤣🤣🤣
It makes me so mad when they say I didn’t know what I was doing when I got into this and because of that they advocate you doing the same and jumping into a financial commitment and a new business without any research or forethought. Who would do that???? And then they contradict themselves and say educate yourself - but if you do educate yourself then you know it is definitely not something to just jump into. So many inconsistencies and contradictions because there is no coherent argument that would make sense for someone to do this. Keep going with the great videos Emily 👏🏼
I made that comment part way through the video and then as I watched more it just got worse and worse. What they are saying is so offensive to anyone who has any kind of profession or a legitimate business or a 9-5 job, ie any one who is not part of an MLM 😱 They seen to think if they repeat ‘its not a pyramid scheme’ enough times it will make it true. News flash - saying it over and over again doesn’t make it true 🤣🤨
"Overhead" means rent, etc. Just fyi. :)
Oopsie 🤪
@@EmilyFine shes still wrong though- mlm "overhead" would be business expenses like monthly fees, inventory that you are forced to buy, start up kits, etc. So shes STILL more wrong than you were hahaha
cait also Internet expenses because you know they are messaging 100s of people a day!
@@EmilyFine Hello.
@@EmilyFine I thought the same thing too
If the “opportunity” is so great, how come they’re the ones that have to convince people to join? The other careers out that ( like really careers) candidates seek the jobs. They don’t have to be convinced that it’s a great opportunity. What other job out there has to coax people to work for them?? What other job makes you pay to work there?
Right lol!
Heck i had to apply to medicals school and make myself competitive and stand out to get in! Imagine medical schools and other carrers/professions begging/convincing people to join lol...
It didn’t feel like selling because... YOU ARE the customer!!!!!
We are taught to NOT scam people by conning, guilting and manipulating people into pushing a fake business.... you didn’t know what you were singing up for 😳
I’ve watched a lot of these huns talking about their MLM on team calls and not ONCE have I seen them go into specifics about products and how to market the products properly, it’s always about how to convince people to join their Ponzi scheme
Yep not once
Yes!!! they never talk about the products!! Wouldn’t that be a red flag?? 🚩
That’s such a great point!
Truth!
They have a Market Partner Academy that has a bunch of training videos on products, ingredients, and also how to market. I wouldn't want to waste time on zoom calls if you already have access to all that stuff. RUclips is also a great place to learn how to market even plastic bags.. soo, you could literally sell anything. Doesn't have to be monat.
Only 3 people joined the team call? That's so sad but satisfying at the same time !
Or at least a drinking game, every time they say we're not a pyramid scheme.. DRINK!
Prepare to call an ambulance because you’ll need your stomach pumped.
YOOOO this is such a good idea 💡
“Time” & “money” are my old excuses for telling people no thank you but in a way they can’t try harder to convince you. It’s the polite way of saying “hell no”
The only reason people might not be interested is because they don’t understand what it is???? Or because it’s not the norm and different? 😂🤣😂🤣 what!? Oh yeah. That must be it. 🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️
Oh yeah we all just must be absolute idiots 😂🤔
"I started this business.....I dont even know how long"
Meaning, you've been in the business too long to justify you being in the business with nothing to show for it.
“Time is a mindset” - ngl, I wanna live in whatever reality they think they’re in
They work for a corporation!!!
Omg I know the girl on the bottom and love how this all came full circle! I was always skeptical when girls from my sorority started doing pyramid schemes and channels like this help clarify everything so thank you!!!
Oh my gosh no way!!! You’re welcome 💛
Great video! The lady saying about big corporations, working for them, yes, but at least you know that when you start for a big company on a 9 to 5, you know your salary, bonuses.
MLM and pyramid schemes, 99 percent of people don't make a living out of it.
I need some "pyramid schemes are illegal" merch
Alibrath21 omg yes
Yassss!
And some your corporate job is a pyramid scheme 🤣
They’re so delusional.... they believe what they’re saying lol
Interestingly enough, I have never seen a big influencer promote Monat and they will promote anything that makes sense/cents
“Overheads” doesn’t mean the people above you, it “refers to the ongoing costs to operate a business but excludes the direct costs associated with creating a product or service.” Just thought I’d let you know. MLMs are a disgusting scam.
Her definition of pyramid is not correct either! She says it omitting the crucial parts which would make monat a pyramid scheme. Here's the FTC's definition.
Pyramid schemes now come in so many forms that they may be difficult to recognize immediately. However, they all share one overriding characteristic. They promise consumers or investors large profits based primarily on recruiting others to join their program, not based on profits from any real investment or real sale of goods to the public. Some schemes may purport to sell a product, but they often simply use the product to hide their pyramid structure. There are two tell-tale signs that a product is simply being used to disguise a pyramid scheme: inventory loading and a lack of retail sales. Inventory loading occurs when a company's incentive program forces recruits to buy more products than they could ever sell, often at inflated prices. If this occurs throughout the company's distribution system, the people at the top of the pyramid reap substantial profits, even though little or no product moves to market. The people at the bottom make excessive payments for inventory that simply accumulates in their basements. A lack of retail sales is also a red flag that a pyramid exists. Many pyramid schemes will claim that their product is selling like hot cakes. However, on closer examination, the sales occur only between people inside the pyramid structure or to new recruits joining the structure, not to consumers out in the general public.
3 fools
How can a 9-5 be a pyramid scheme when we have benefits? Paid vaca, sick time, bonuses, raises, health insurance, etc.
Deserves to be repeated ad nauseum - "I couldn't have been speeding, officer, that's illegal!"
“Overhead” that she is referring to is costs that it takes to start or run an actual business. You asked at one point “what does she mean by overhead”
Overhead is like office rent, phone systems, electric amount for your rental/office unit, office supplies, employee costs etc etc. Thats what “overhead” means in business 😉 has nothing to do with an “up line” like you were thinking. It’s not referring to like people over you or bosses etc....Basically Overhead is what your day to day business costs to run....doesn’t mean “people over you” lol ....Just fyi 😊
And your vids are great btw!
When people say "this isn't for me" they are trying to be polite
they're literally delusional i cant even-
I used to be in an MLM actually I’ve been in a few over my life. Finally got smart and grew up in my 30s LOL and stopped everything. And after finding your vid and a few others talking about them it sure looks to me Culty from the other side. Or from the outside rather. Thank you all for everything you do. I can’t believe I was ever part of this crap.
To be fair, I do agree that corporate jobs are sort of pyramid schemes in the sense that the amount of work most employees do is really inversely proportional to what they make. And the people who work the most are not the ones that benefit the most. Bonuses and raises tend to not favor 'worker bees'.
I love my job. I’m a teacher and honestly, I am so blessed to have my job.
For the 1,000,000 time....you do NOT OWN A BUSINESS!! The owner of Monat OWNS that business, NOT you!! Ugh...I seriously find this to be the single most manipulative tactic they use.
Imagine a call with multiple people and no one has an different opinion.
The girl explaining the pyramid scheme. She just explained her company.. WHAT??
I can’t be the only one reading in their faces that they don’t even believe all the BS that’s coming out of their mouth 😂 their words sound so shallow!
Why don’t these monat huns at least have nice hair?!! 🤣🤣 only frizzy, broken, frayed hair in this call.
they "work" for a corporation with CEOs (that won't be replaced by some girls who cold message people on IG) and regular full time employees in, oh my god you GUESSED IT, 9-5 jobs. also when she said "you sit in your cubicle at your 9-5 and are miserable and work for 3 hours etc" it sounds extremely specific to HER experience? you can't seriously expect everyone you're talking to to relate to that exact feeling. i work in the zoological/animal care field so i start my day at 7 am and spend no time in an office. i went to school for it because it's something i'm passionate about! how would saying "by doing this, you can quit your meaningful job that you love because you actually hate it because i hated all of my jobs!!!" make me want to join them? seems like they're talking to a specific person here and it's deff not me, but i somehow still get them in my DMs, it's so frustrating.
"overhead" (what the lady meant) are costs like having a building, paying for electric, stocking shelves, having employees. That's what "overhead" is. Not upline.
Just pointing out, I hate MLM. I love you. Just thought I'd clear that up
I got a call from a woman I have met maybe twice and she wanted me to buy from Mary Kay and join her team. Unfortunately I am allergic to their products and I'm also out of a job right now. When I told her I don't have the money to buy anything and really don't want to sell make-up that I can't even wear. She screamed at me saying, Listen B**** You are going to buy my products because you owe me!! I said owe you? What? She said Oh you know what!! I said Are you sure you have the right person because I barely know you. She hung up and 2 hours later she was at my house knocking on my door trying to convince me to buy stuff. I'm still in shock.
Holy shit. MLM and pyramid schemes aside who thinks this is morally okay ???
I completely agree with everything you’re saying. However, when she said “overhead” she meant business expenses (I.e. inventory, rent, licensing, permits, marketing, etc.) I love your videos. I’ve been on a MLM scam video binge lately lol
Im anti any MLM and enjoy your videos. Wanted to point out that “overhead” in business does not mean there are people over you - in business terms it refers to an ongoing expense of operating a business…basically expenditures which cannot be conveniently traced to or identified with any particular revenue unit, unlike operating expenses.
Also, allow me to mention that I divorced my
Exhusband because he would fall for these nonsense dreams and I couldn’t look at him
The same. Real story! 😩😂
I have never heard of Monat until I started watching anti mlm videos.
These dummies bash 9-5ers but the 9-5ers only have to work 9-5 and don’t have to HuStLe on vacation lol
Okay okay okay 😂😂😂 I can’t. I’m dying. I’m ded. They can’t even give the proper definition of an illegal pyramid scheme. It’s not “a thing from the 90’s”. Oh my god. 😂😂😂
“spamming the absolute flip” 🤣❤️❤️❤️LOVE that 🤣❤️
This is what I think. Work on your 9-5 while you work on your OWN craft.. working for Monat makes no difference . You still have to go to zoom meetings and you still have a boss.
Lol I seen a girl talk about this having to wake up at 5 in the morning just for a zoom meeting???? Like what? I follow her on IG. She making it seem all that. But aren’t they working 24/7 ?
why do huns say you can't get to the top in the corporate world? YES YOU CAN. Its called a corporate LADDER you can climb up it with time and lots of hard work.
Their arguments are literally word for word copy paste I can't 💤💤💤💤
Your commentary is hilarious. Love it. Good work.
