I have avoided using GRID for a long time due to its complex nature but as I am continuing to watch your videos, I now prefer using GRID more than ever! Thanks💖
So awesome! Great principles as well as some additional tid-bits, like the expanding column feature, really make this a great video and collection of lessons. Thank you 🙏
WAIT, WE CAN APPLY TRANSITIONS TO GRID-TEMPLATE-COLUMS?! THIS COULD'VE SAVED ME HOURS OF MESSING AROUND WITH FLEX LAYOUT. This is the reason I love your channel ❤✨️✨️
Yes! The grid-template-columns is an animatable property, and it's super handy for creating smooth layout transitions. Thanks for the love and support! ❤️✨
@@OptimisticWeb What I am trying to achieve, as I work on my own small CSS framework I can use for my own projects, is either a CSS grid with areas or named grid lines. I like named grid lines, as I have seen different approaches recently. In case you have an idea to that too, please make a video. I would love to see it.
Hey. JS??? I thought you'd do a checkbox input instead of a button element and then attach some CSS rules with input:checked respectively)) Frankly speaking, it is a cool video. This is a common issue; to do a container with 100% of screen height with a sticky footer at the bottom even if the content is not enough to push it there. One little thing - I've noticed that SVH works better than DVH on mobile screens. DVH pushes the footer out of the mobile screen. Or is it just my misunderstanding?
Thank you! Yeah JS :) The checkbox can be a way to deal with the resizable sidebar. I used that solution in the CSS-only tabs video, so I thought to try a different technique this time. I am not sure about that footer issue on mobile as I never tested between SVH or DVH. Thanks for updating me.

instead of JS for the button you could have styled a checkbox to do the same thing avoiding JS
That's correct! I've used a similar technique in my CSS-only tabs video, so I wanted to showcase a different approach this time. Thanks for watching!
