@@shaganou When horses are in work or play in the pasture they sweat. When it’s cold out then they get terribly cold from their skin and coat being drenched in sweat and it can make them sick. Imagine if you had a wet shirt on outside in the cold, it wouldn’t be very comfortable and would make you even colder rather than having no shirt at all. Horses Also have something called turnout blankets that keep them warm and dry.

If you want the clip to last, do it right before December 21st. After that time, they start growing in their Summer coats (as the days get longer) and dont grow more fluff in. Dont clip after that, or you will affect their summer coat 😊 all of this advice I got from a professional groom.
