I support president Trump he is very gay friendly and employs many gay people. Back in the 1970s through the 1990s I use to go to all his casinos and they were always many gay people working at his casinos. ❤

It’s all about distraction. Look over there.

Great discussion. The situation referred to among conservatives here in the States is caused, among other things by the fact that they wrap themselves in the American flag and in what they call "religion,"--a fundamentalist, literal reading of Scripture that they want to shove down everyone's throats. The US is expressly a secular nation. The current conservative movement wants to make it a theocracy. LGBTQ + fundamentalist belief do not mix. The UK seems to take its secularism seriously, on the whole, regardless of politics. May it remain that way, for your sakes.

People don't vote or show up for polls today in the US mainly due to the fact they don't feel like their vote means anything. At least imo. People from the UK and Europe always rail on Americans for the governments aggressive foreign policies or wars. They think the vast majority of people support and are voting for these policies. That isn't necessarily the case though. I knew many people who did not support any of Bushes wars for example or support our actions in the middle east. Alotta people didn't vote for that but it still happened. Overtime time when stuff like that happens over and over it can make people politically apathetic.
