- Making pizza cutters is a great gift idea. They can be gifts for Christmas or any gift giving occasion. They are quick and east to turn. Making gifts like this is one reason I bought a lathe. I can make wonderful presents in a lot less time than it would take to make someone a piece of furniture and they are well received.
Some video segments in this video aren't complete or in "real time." In order to shorten the length of the video I increased the speed in some sections. I also left out parts of some of the turning details that were rather redundant. This video is intended to help turners envision and see how I made these handles without being a full length length demonstration. Very nice Don. I remember you using that Zebra wood before. One of the oven gloves has 'let it snow' on it. It doesn't ever snow in San Diego? Right?
No snow here or at least very rare. We do get some every year in the local mountains. 😁 I’ve lived in Southern California since 1960 and it’s only snowed once in the valleys. Getting to work that morning was interesting.
This is a remake of the other video. The first one was just music. This was the instructional version. I thought people might be interested in the gift idea.
@@wb_finewoodworking I was in San Diego in '93. I drove from San Francisco, and went along Highway 1. Great time. Left the rental car in a car park in San Diego, and went over the border to Tijuana for a half a day (long enough).
