- This is one small step for DFB, and one GIANT leap for DFB-kind. (Eh, Neil Armstrong did it better -- but you know what I’m getting at.) It’s time to blast-off into a dining experience we’ve been waiting EONS for (or at least since 2017 when it was first announced). It’s the one, the only... Space 220.

I saw Peter and Kitra from Ordinary Adventures, as well as Kevin Heimbach, in this video doing their reviews as well. While they were standing in line waiting to get in, and people were coming out, they were asking people what they recommended. Many people recommended the Buffalo cauliflower, so they tried it and loved it. Peter said that the Buffalo sauce was some of the best he’s had.
Pretty sure AJ was in their video at least twice.
I wonder how many RUclipsrs total will be spotted
They also made it seem like they were in a regular line when they had press passes.
@@mojojojo1095 yeah I was pretty sure it was press access.
@@syx9986 Molly from All ears was sitting with AJ.
Seems like a Cinderella’s Royal Table situation, do it once for the experience and that’s it
I think eating there might be a one off unless they have a big menu change. But I expect we might use the lounge more than once.
Yeah maybe one two times. The lift thing would get so annoying if u go often if u live there lol
Hated the experience. Almost there hours for a glorified screen saver.
Or do it zero and keep your $300.
@@holllyrhode Very few people living in FL goes to these places. We're smarter than tourists.
While the theming is definitely fun, I think I would rather spend my money eating a meal (or two at that price) in World Showcase.
Likewise!!
Yooo was that Ordinary Adventures I see across from you?!
100% was!!! that was funny to see
Mr. CreepyPasta?? Are you planning a Disney trip!?
@ordinaryadventures you're featured here lol. And sad they don't have many forms of options for the low sodium dieters sadly here I see in the menus. .but it looks amazing overall.. did u see the lightsaber duel or the dog in space...
Totally caught that too!! 3:26 mark @ordinaryadventures
Yeah on minute 3:28 right?
Haha The Ordinary Adventure surprise cameo at 3:54 :P
Lol saw that too, love it! One big Disney family.
I know haha I was going to say haha
You missed the first one at 3:25? ;)
@@troyjollimore4100 I bow to your superior eyesight :P
Just couldn't wait for DFB's take on space 220-the humor is unique/layout and explanations are simple/direct-love this vlog thank you!- I live my disney life vicariously through you! Sincerely, Dean
Oh I see Ordinary Adventures at 3:26!! It's cool to see everyone in the same video per say ! Lol
Saw that too
Not my kind of food (at least not for those prices!) so depending on crowds I may just pop in for a drink next time I'm there. But the theming looks super fun and it's nice to have a different kind of sit-down place in Epcot.
yeah this food looks and sounds too adventureous and fancy for me.
So cool 😎 to see you sat next to Peter and Kitra from ordinary adventures! They also have a fun video experience on Space 220. Would be awesome to see more youtubers sit together and talk about food.
Yes, this has to happen!
@3:52 OrdinaryAdventures?!
Crossover episode
I was just here on Saturday!!! Sounds crazy, but I was so lucky to go on a day when a storm was in the forecast… this meant NO crowds at all!!! I was able to walk in to Space 220 right when it opened and got a table overlooking the restaurant (which was still empty!). I had the flat iron steak - it was delicious. The sauce was amazing and the potatoes were perfect. I also had the cauliflower first course and that was SO good. My beverage was the Nebula. Also amazing. Overall, great dining experience. Not the cheapest place to eat in the park, but definitely memorable. :)
I 100% don’t understand why Disney doesn’t bother to theme their food at their themed signature restaurants. Call it supernova all you want but this food looks super boring. I am sure it is competently executed but a themed restaurant needs creativity in the kitchen. The cocktails look to be fun but at the end of the day Space 220 joins the growing list of “one and done” and “only for the ambience” restaurant offerings at Disney World. A real shame considering there’s so much culinary out-of-the-box talent out there that would be a perfect fit for these types of dining options.
For as many people that would be adventurous eaters, there are about 20x that are scared of anything other than something they readily recognize, and isn't adventurous at all...
I agree with you... and if the world was just people like us... cool. But WDW has to cater to EVERYBODY. I work in an ice cream shop. we MAKE OUR OWN ICE CREAM and people will still turn up their nose if the flavor falls outside the van/choc/strawberry/ praline group. haha... I don't like it for the Space 220 restaurant, but I get it. You NEEEEEEED people to drop $60 bucks on lunch. need.
I think this would be a top tier restaurant if they made the menu molecular gastronomy themed. I think this style of food is so cool and work perfectly with the space theme.
Decor and theming is amazing, but seems like they barely tried with the menu.
I agree but doing something more creative would still probably be a one time option for people for the price.
@@troyjollimore4100 And I'm one of those 20X who would never order rare duck or calamari. Thought the steak and brussels sprouts looked just fine.
Aside from Ordinary Adventures I also spotted Molly from All Ears briefly in the background of one shot. How fun.
In Molly’s video, you don’t see A.J but they were all sharing the food 😊
The absolute best Disney food reviews available anywhere! Thank you so much. We look forward to trying Space 220.
I could eat here and seemingly enjoy the food, but I wouldn't cough up that kind of money at a theme park, especially after the park is getting so expensive as it is. Not worth it for me.
Right? One dinner at this place and I could spend a day at a local theme park plus food. Or, two days worth of food and wine festival treats
It's not for everyone. Just bring a bologna sandwich with you to eat while you walk around.
@@justmeyo4589 its comparable to any fine dining, multi-course restaurant. 🤷♀️
I’m going to try for the lounge when I visit in November. The menu for the sit down meal is unimpressive for the price. I do want the experience though
I'm thinking the same thing for our trip in December. Hope you snag one of those lounge spots. If you make it in there let us know what you think. 😉 Have a safe magical trip and lots of fun. ❤
Ordinary Adventures at 3:26! I just saw their video 15 min ago.
And again at 3:53. "Hey! I know THAT guy..." ;)
I went yesterday and the experience is amazing! The food is quite expensive but i would recommend!
This is an awesome review! Thanks for the hard work. This has to be the best review on the internet of this new hot signature dining destination. Thx DFB crew!
😳 Wow, that space restaurant looks out of this world! 🌎 😆
The prices are lol
I’d pick calamari, flat iron steak (or fillet), and the lemon mousse! That is if I can get reservations… I suspect a one and done for us considering the price.
The "Space Elevator" reminds me of the old "Hydrolators" from The Living Seas. For those too young to remember, the original Living Seas pavilion had this room everyone went into which was themed to be a Hydrolator, or an undersea elevator that would take you inside the underwater base, and you had to re-enter these hydrolators to "get back to the surface" to leave the pavilion.
Love this ,just what I needed to see as on the fence about the food ,well done dfb
Appreciate this video! Let me know we need to try the lounge before committing to the prefixed meal. Thanks for all you do!
I spy a Peter and Kitra!!
when i went last week i got the calamari as an appetizer and the crab stuffed lobster as my entree with a side of shrimp added and the lemon and raspberry sorbet for dessert….i haven’t been able to stop thinking about how amazing and perfect all of it was. i also had the moon rocks drink as a cocktail and got a rare card in my collectible card pack. we didn’t get seated next to the earth view but did get a window seat. 10/10 experience but you are blessed if you get a good earth view for sure
I watched Ordinary Adele tired video last night on their Space 220 experience. And they show up in your video today.
I got a kick out of your video not just for the obvious reasons, they're always fun, but for a kind of 'Where's Waldo' game I played. When you did a pan of the restaurant I searched for friends and RUclipsrs. There were more than a few! Thanks guys!
I've been waiting patiently for this video. Heading to Disney in a couple weeks and want to eat here.
I see Peter and Kitra's back
This was a really nice and thorough review!
I rather have a Mary Poppins ride!
Imagine getting in a carousel and suddenly it become a dark ride that shows you Mary’s World.
This restaurant will always be full and not everyone will be able to experience it also because it’s absurdly expensive. I rather have a ride of an iconic and timeless story. Something everyone can experience in the park!
Mary poppins isn’t popular enough
@@doejohn6197 it’s super popular! The old version and the remake.
They aren't gonna put a mary Poppins ride in future world
@@solcarlosofficial Meh. It's fine. I can get behind it but I'm not gonna go crazy wishing for it
There's a McDonald's on property, if I remember right--that price point should be sufficient for everyone.
3:53 I can see ordinary adventures
Nice view as people dine unknowing at the @3:21 mark two astronauts seeing if the dark or light side is the strongest 😂 saber dueling
I’ve been waiting for this video since they announced it was open! 😁🤩
I've been trying to get reservations since Day 1. I'm going to Epcot tomorrow and tried this morning and WHAT! I found an opening at 11:30. I'm SO excited. Thanks for reminding me of all my options! I'm probly going to watch again and plan my menu right this minute! So .... keep trying if you can't get a reservation. People (clearly) do cancel!
Ordinary Adventures sighting at 3:27! Hi fam! 😅
That’s funny. When you scrolled the room, you catch Peter and Kitra (Ordinary adventures) dining.
Stellar review. Kept me watching till the end. 😊
Great video AJ...definitely want to check out the lounge but everytime we go to Epcot its a festival so I don't want to take too much food space for a prefix ( see what I did there lol)
This is one of the restaurants I want to go to 😁
Thanks for sharing! Not sure when I'll be back, but definitely consider I this spot. One thing you didn't mention: do folks eating at the lounge get to ride the space elevator?
Yes, that’s the only way up
...and the way down
I love some of the restaurants in Epcot. My wife and I had reservations at the Coral Reef restaurant during our honeymoon (yes, we honeymooned at Disney). We loved the view but it sounded like a school cafeteria in there, we could barely hear each other over the crowd noise. It really turned us off to eating at Disney.
Honestly? Nothing looks appealing, except the atmosphere 😬
Would the view from the elevator reflect real-time weather in Orlando?
I’m wondering the same! I don’t want it to just be the same every time. I hope it changes based on the weather that day and whether it’s night or day. I’m also pretty excited to see Epcot get smaller and smaller and what it’s going to look like as we “rise” over the country.
I don't think I could handle being there... it has a very... Talos 1 vibe and I don't think Disney would appreciate me tapping everything with a fork to test if it's a mimic or not.
*sees a epidemic someone dropped* OOH A NEUROMOD.
I've been excited for this for years but I gotta say conceptually it seems like everything but the food came together. Granted I haven't gotten to try the food yet though I should in a few weeks since I'm making a visit just to do so. But conceptually the dishes appear to be lacking panache to match the new setting. I thought even if they kept the ingredients basic that the plating would be unique but ik not really getting that vibe out of seeing it.
Panache! 😂
Saw Molly and Quincy right at the beginning of the video 👍 I saw where you guys collaborate for these , that’s awesome! Would love to try this place sometime!!
Looks nice and the atmosphere looks great... I think its a must visit restaurant to go to at least once.
Did anyone recognize Kevin Heimbach in her video shots! You can see him at 16:54! And their shirts match too as compared to his review of the restaurant! What a small world hahaa
Yes, he's sitting with Peter and Kitra from Ordinary Adventures. I also saw Deni from the Disney Dining show towards the end.
If I'm paying that much for food, then it needs to be to my exact specifications. I don't think there was one appetizer there that I would actually eat.
Great job!! Thanks to molly I found you and subscribed!
I love the atmosphere it seems this restaurant has but not loving the food choices. May try to get into the lounge for a quick snack and drink.
Where are the plant based entrees??
you guys have to try the vegetarian gyro coming to artist palette on the first! I got to taste ut at work and its amazing!
i've been waiting for this! I have a res for Oct 1st!
I see ordinary adventures guys. Hi.
Lol ordinary adventures at the 3:50 mark
Yea!! Can't wait to take My family. Thanks for taking us there
That restaurant gives me 80's vibes
This is awesome the experience looks neat
A long line of people one upon each others without masks. No thanks, I don't pay an insane amount of money to get sick and fund a greedy CEO salary and bonuses. Still, thanks for your channel and all your hard work. I understand this is your job.
They're also sitting so close in some shots. Eurgh.
Disney makes sure people going in are vaccinated. don't live your life being paranoid about getting sick man. thats no way to live life at all.
@@lindamcdaniel2419 that’s not true at all stop spreading misinformation.
@@BrightHeart88 vaccinated people still spread covid.
Can’t wait to go!! We will be there next September and we will hopefully get a reservation! So excited!!
Ahhhh, they are booked for September reservations
@@audreymcfarlin6947 2022??
We had dinner there Friday. I strongly recommend it. Food was superb and service was awesome. In my opinion, worth every penny.
When are y'all going to do a review on sebastian's bistros new menu? I'd like to hear your opinion on it! Love the videos!
3:53 it's Ordinary Adventures on the right side of the table haha
Ugh.... Another restaurant I would love to go to but there are no VEGETARIAN dishes.... Come on Disney, give us a chance
Seriously. I'm not vegetarian but I don't eat much meat. The only thing that looked possible was to ask them to hold the meat sauce on top of the baked macaroni, but it looks so dry!
3:26 it’s Ordinary Adventures Kitra and Peter !
Looks to me like the lounge is the best option
The Intro 👏 love it
I was logged in at 6 am Eastern on the dot 60 days in advance of my first Disney world night. Space220 is Booked up for our whole trip in late November! I started at the farthest date out available during our trip and worked backward with no luck! 😢
“Yes, this is what we are doing” 😂😂
This menu has a "fancy 1990s" vibe to it.
Atmosphere is great, eating doesn't seem very unique at all.
Love watching an accidental Easter Egg featuring Ordinary Adventures!!
Me too!!
Steak at Toppolino's is the best steak on property. :)
At 4:31 far left screen it looks like Molly from All Ears standing up getting some footage 🤣
I have never seen anything like this It is amazing
I SPOT ORDINARY ADVENTURES!!! =)
so nice i watched it on both uploads lol
I hope people get to try the menu before it gets the skipper canteen treatment. I loved the X2 Duck and the Neptune Tartare was amazing.
just got home from my trip this morning and am relying on DFB to keep me from spiraling into post Disney depression :/ time to start planning my next trip
I love your channel. I really really do. I am looking for something like it for Disney in Paris. Isn’t it something for you guys to branche out in??
With the elevator design, I hope we get a "Tip Top Club" lounge or restaurant at Tower of Terror.
I’ve been waiting for this for years. Please, Disney. Just give us the Tip Top Club.
Hello, thank you so much for your thoughts. We were there in September 2023 and our menu was slightly different. I will say one of our guests had to leave due to motion sickness. Our waiter say that that happens, not frequently, but it happens. Overall, we thought it was fine but overpriced. We enjoyed other restaurants in WDW better.
I'm not that into paying for presentation which it looks like you do here. If I pay $80 for a steak I'd prefer to get more than the size of a filet. The place looks great though and I appreciate they're doing something unique.
AJ, make sure to point out that Park Hopping can only happen after 2:00 PM right now. Had to learn that at the tapstyles when I tried to hop over to EPCOT
Did you really try all of those items?! Thanks for the comprehensive review.
I love disney!
This is fantastic!!!!!. My family and I will be staying at the shades of green resort.
I was wondering if you could do a video on the resort.
Alot of us who are going to stay there,, have mentioned your vlog for information. And I've planned allot of trip based on your clog.
Thank you so much.
Beth McCormack
Thetimtracker has a video where he tours shades of green
$55 bucks yikes I could buy a week of groceries for that much....or at least a few days 😅 but still that's cray!
I thought there would be more ambient lighting it seems a lot more bright then the photos made it seem
It looks more like a space cafeteria than a place to drop $80+ per person.
@@lizcademy4809 yes looks like the cafeteria from zenon
AAAAA I saw Ordinary Adventures at 3:27 lol i like them. very nice ppl
For people who have been waiting for years for this to open, all I can think of is that scene of Matt McConaughey in Interstellar when he's crying in front of the video message from his daughter 😄
I got up at 4:45 am to get a reservation at the space 220 , 60 days in advance . It was booked 🤷♀️
I say it's definitely worth it for the experience and food. Sure it may be pricey but it's not like you'll be going there every single visit.
3:51 That is definitely ordinary adventures because if you compare videos they are sitting right there near the window
When do the 2022 guides come out? Planning a visit in January!
Was that medium rare chicken? It didn't look quite done enough for chicken.
I think it’s from a veiny part of the chicken, like maybe the thigh. Notice the slice that’s a bit pinker has a visibly different texture, which is likely slow twitch muscles and stuff.
I'm debating between booking a lunch or dinner... looks so good. I'm leaning towards lunch...
The prices are actually great!👍🏽
