    For solo travelers I would give a strong nod to Teppan Edo. I've been traveling solo for quite a while and dining solo does get boring from time to time. With Tepan Edo you get paired with other groups (once things are back to normal of course) and it's a great way to meet new people and have a nice talk during diner even if you're on a solo trip!

    Back in March of 2020 (before everything shut down), I went to Be Our Guest for the first time, for a dinner reservation. It was FANTASTIC. We booked our reservation for around 8pm, which is close to when the restaurant officially closes. So by the time we had finished our dinner, hardly anyone was there. We were lucky enough to get a table in the grand ball room, and it was totally like being in the film. I loved looking at all the cherub babies on the ceiling. What made the experience better, was being able to explore the other dining rooms. The library and the west wing. Each dining room had different features that happened. In the West Wing there would be a lighting simulator, and a portrait of the prince would tear at one point during the lighting. Very cool. So I was in the other rooms almost by myself, getting to enjoy all of the details of each room.
    ALSO, while we were waiting for our table, a woman was walking around with Lumiere letting the people waiting take photos with him! So that was a fun experience. And then after our dinner, we were able to wait in line to get photos with the Beast.
    I know people have bad things to say about the breakfast there, and while I can’t speak on that, the dinner is FANTASTIC. Highly recommend, especially if you’re a Beauty & The Beast fan!

    • @maureenvandusky5400
      @maureenvandusky5400 3 года назад

      I was wondering if there were other characters. I only hear mention of the Beast and I don’t know why no Belle??? I also thought there should be Lumiere and Cogsworth and maybe Mrs. Potts and if not Chip then the voice of Chip occasionally in the distance.

    When I worked in WDW entertainment, Garden Grill was one of my favorite character meals to do. The circular shape meant that the path from table to table was easy to follow. It also meant that families were less likely to go over to the characters out of turn because the high backs of the booths made it so they didn't seem them until they arrived at their table. Also, because it's relatively small and not insanely popular, it was easy to get to every table and actually have enough time to really play instead of "love and shove." Chip and Dale could especially have a lot of fun. They used to have rolls of paper towels at each table as well as little watering cans with crayons, and the characters could sit down and doodle for the kids!

    On my last trip to Disney we ate at my daughter’s favorite which is now my favorite too. The restaurant at the top of the Rivera Topolino’s!! It’s decor and service are extremely luxurious and the food is absolutely perfect for a picky eater with numerous allergies like me. I absolutely loved it and felt the price tag was better than I expected. We ate at Olivia’s on my previous trip in May and that was very nice too but nothing compared to Topolino’s.

    Personally, I didn't enjoy the Be Our Guest restaurant. (Pre covid times). Me and my mom went there together and it was so crowded! The tables were packed so close together that it was difficult to get up and walk around. The waiters were so rushed that they barely had time to take our orders, we didn't get the grey stuff in the chip cup (all the other tables around us got it) even though we ordered it and it was so loud we couldn't even have a conversation together! The atmosphere was cool but I'd never do it again.

      I had a similar experience at Blue Bayou a few years ago. We felt rushed and I'm sure the waiters felt rushed too. I had to ask a different waitress than the one who was serving us a question- she was nicer than our waitress (I wondered the name of a rare fruit- it was a gooseberry!). It's where my husband and I chose to go for our honeymoon trip as a special place to eat, but I don't know if I'll go back there. I kinda wish we had chosen somewhere else, like maybe Carthay Circle or even something simpler like Cafe Orleans. :/

    My absolute favorite must do has always been Cafe May Cafe for dinner. But now that it's "family style" and they charge $29 a lbs for crab legs PLUS the AYCE price, we won't be back until things get back to normal.

    Morimoto Asia at 20:10 being recommended is laughable. That place had the WORST service of any restaurant I've ever been to. Messed up drink orders from the bar and it took almost two hours for our entrées to arrive and that only happened when my friend said something to a manager, who tried to apologize by giving us a free bottle of cheap $6 Korean dessert wine at the end of our meals. If you want a true Morimoto experience his Philly restaurant is the place to go.

    Completely agree with the list! Be Our Guest was our favorite. Seriously had a tear in our eyes when we saw the Beast. Seriously if you are a fan of Beauty and the Beast it doesn't get any better! Also seriously loved California Grill and Yak and Yetti. Le Cellier was a miss for us. Food was okay and service was bad. Might of just been an off day in the kitchen because truly did want this to be better, but just wasn't. That being said did love the atmosphere! Morimottos and Homecoming are both amazing too and highly recommend them! And of course eat around the world at a festival could be the best food we ate anywhere! Seriously don't know how they do it but everything we had was great! Great job Disney Food Blog and thanks for all the recommendations you MADE our trip so truly thank you from the bottom of our hearts! Couldn't of had a great of a trip that we did without you guys!

    We loved Morimoto's! We actually traveled to Orlando to go to a different sushi place that wasn't fully operating when we got there so we popped over to disney springs instead. My son and I shared some sushi rolls, dumplings and miso while my husband got the Raman with pork belly. All of it was so delicious and well worth the price tag. The restaurant was beautiful and the staff was amazing.

I am a huge pre-planner and I love to know everything about a place with at least an overall game plan so I have just been watching videos, googling, talking with friends who have went, etc. nonstop since we decided. I have had a hard time finding videos like yours that are organized and more towards here's what it is, here's what you need to know & here's something that might make it extra special for your family so THANK YOU!! :)

    ... or you could pick up a box of pop tarts at the dollar store on the way to the park from your motel. When you get to main street ask the kids to wait outside. Go into a shop turn around and come out and tell your kids they are magic mickey poptarts.

    I had this on one vacation. I only had park tickets for universal and sea world group but couldn’t travel all the way to Florida from the uk without doing something Disney. Sanaa was my restaurant of choice and I am so glad I chose this. We had a lovely view of the animals and a great Indian/African inspired meal, plus the cat members were lovely and made my graduation celebration very memorable. If I could only eat in one Disney restaurant this is it for me.

    Best seafood restaurant in WDW is Narcoossee’s…. hands down. Pricey but high quality, grilled seafood with beautiful views of the lake and fireworks. Occasional unique appetizers. I had alligator bits there once that were so tasty. Not talked about much either so reservations are easier except during fireworks. I don’t know if they allow you back in with a dinner receipt like California Grill.
