Brilliant video mate. When these issues come up, it's very hard to overcome. Little manholes are easily sorted..But main drains such as these..we always stay well clear..or if a job requires moving or building close/over a manhole we usually go to 7 Trent and get a build over agreement along with a engineers drawings to specific how things are changing or how we are overcoming the issue without disturbing the original drain.
Brilliant video mate, regardless of the hassle with the drain, the job looks perfect, as always! Have a great weekend buddy!

Yes we do the same on an extension mate with build over or moving a main drain and its the bricklaying side thats tought me that with experience but how many landscapers do you think adhere to these rules or even no about them .got to be careful haven't you to do it right .
Enjoy the weekend yourself and loving your channel mate

    Hi Justin
Yep nightmare manholes mate , I feel your pai 😂😂😂build over agreements by us cause a job being delayed months mate 🥵🥵 , we let Severn Trent do it the we follow up mate , but thankfully we don’t get many and building inspectors are a great help to us in construction for the drains keep safe mate and as ever quality work and advice from you boys 🙏🙏👍

Morning john had the same with build over notice etc over the years welsh water here can be a difficult company to deal with on times .It all has to be done right though doesn't it .my frustration is you have to be registered even for the simplest of jobs so you cant touch it .then the registered companies cost a fortune just because they can .Anyway have a good weekend and a good week thanks John 👍👍

I had it on a driveway i was concreting this year, 2 manholes 6ft down and a funny sized biscuit on top.
For the pair of 20ton manholes was about £300 a piece.
There crazy money if you dont over price things you can become rapidly out of pocket cant you 😬😂

Good shout Justin I’ve encountered a manhole in Scotland and was meant to be putting an extension in but main line sewer there and no build over agreement in place so I can’t touch it and architect and engineer never mentioned it in drawings so customer has the problem no way can we touch it until Scottish water have it sorted out with agreement!

    • @brickrightbuildinglandscaping
      @brickrightbuildinglandscaping  3 года назад +1

Been there done exactly that john. A plan or drawing sound in my opinion show any new drainage specs along with any existing drainage alterations or re positioning. A Build over notice should be done before the builder even starts .Its architects just printing the same spec for each job and earning money for a poor service. I could say more but difficult in text form.
Good luck John hope its sorted as i say been there done that more than once mate
      Justin 👍

@@brickrightbuildinglandscaping now you have said that I’m sticking to my guns and doing anything on that job until they get the build over agreement sorted the architect does not seem interested as he has been paid by customer now something wrong with that system surely they are in charge of drainage when first checking the site before the drawings and also for putting the new drainage in to ?

    • @brickrightbuildinglandscaping

      @@johnbuist5289
Esther the client or the architect is responsible most clients pay the architect to arrange all the red tape .More and more often now the drainage is missed and a lot of architects dont even want to lift a manhole not even to find out invert level which as you now is vital to the depths of foundation etc.
Id wouldn't be starting it until all the essentials are sorted out either.
      Good luck.John

Firstly If a water authority had such a utility on my property I would have them remove it or pay rent for it to be sited on my land. Secondly the water company would have to design, at their expense, the feature to suit my needs.
