digital tour bus amazing info how you get them to info so freely about their gear is just mind-boggling thank you so much can you if possible have.mr. Aldrich from the white snake he may not be with them no more but would be nice
What a nice guy! And a very clear explanation about the rig!! Great job Bro
really interesting when you saw them live and now see and get an explanation of the technical stuff happening behind the scenes👍
Glad to hear that you enjoyed the video!
Awesome! I need a blue ESP eclipse immediately.
There's an E-II that's almost identical to that one it's like 1600
😀
Yes, the EII Ecilpse in Marine Blue is amazing. I've been wanting it since they announced it but don't have the $1700 USD ($2600 Canadian) to grab one :-P Some day though!
You know, initially I wasn't the biggest fan of Kamelot (I saw them support for Maiden in 2008 and it was my dad who got really into them), a lot of their stuff is really half and half for me. - However, over time, especially recently, I started appreciating some of the intricacies of their music and Thomas' playing. It just wasn't really my style or preference, but he has something very laid-back and elegant. He's not this choppy and heavy-handed Metal-chugger or particularly complex soloist or anything, but he definitely found his own style that makes a big part of Kamelot, which in turn makes them stand out. But if you really listen to his stuff, it's really interesting and catchy.
This is fascinating. I fell in love with their music in 2012, on the night of the disastrous Nightwish show in Denver, and have seen them every time they have come back since.
The transposition tool is fascinating, since I'm still very much a guitar to pedal board to Marshall sort of guy. I suddenly feel quite old!
Thanks for watching!
Thanks so much for sharing this. I've been a fan of Thomas for so many years now. Could you share any tips on how he gets his pinched harmonics like that? I always struggle with it. I imagine the 1.5mm pick helps because that's pretty much a bass pick
Awesome shirt
For sure! 😀
Hey, Thomas goes directly to PA from Kemper or he miced the cab ? Any EQ output settings at Kemper ?
As far as I understood, the Kemper goes to the PA but Thomas has a Peavey cab (seen at 11:00) for feedback and hearing purposes!
I have a guitar with the SRC Fishman set, they're allright but I don't think they are better than the 81/60A set. The bridge pickup slams the input on my soundcard so hard it clips even with the input gain all the way down, kinda sucks. The neck is almost identical to a 707. If I already had EMG's in a guitar I'd just go to an 18 or 24 volt mod, not worth switching IMO
Thanks for the insight.
10-52 for Drop C? How come? I tried D'addario 10-52 in Drop C and string buzz is driving me nuts :(
God - damn... You can transpose tunings with the Kemper?... I mean, yea, I know that you CAN with software. But in a way that it doesn't sound all messed up... They're really wizards at that company, huh... I mean, I don't like the homogenization of modeling-use, cause you CAN hear it in recordings compared to their real equivalents. But... the tech is amazing.
Do VEIN next!
We'll try. Ultimately, it's up to them, not us.
1:51 - Not anymore... Everyone jumped on that train and you see it everywhere like you saw EMGs everywhere before. - Kinda crazy how that happened.
2:01 - Also kind of homogenization, but I guess that's what people already said about EMGs, so... not much has changed, I suppose. XD
Oh, and finally someone frickin' explain what the deal with these "Fluence" pickups are (I stopped following the trends years ago). Now I know.
Who tf was playing the "Dark Knight" or 'Batman Begins' soundtrack, and did you get a copyright strike?... XD
Had a hunch I was gonna see Kempers in that rack :). The transpose feature is awesome.
Yup.
