We demand Captain meets Mark Tremonti!!!
If that's what the people want... ;)
@@andertons Let's hear it people! Make your voice count!!
@@andertons yes
want
pls
@@andertons we would love it!
He just met him. How about The Captain hangs with Tremonti.
Captain is a seriously good and knowledgable interviewer. He can hold his own in any interview and in any setting. He certainly has an alternate career as a full-time host!
Mark: 2020 is just gonna be a whole year of touring
2020: Hold my beer
Well they're back at it now.
2020 "did" suck rocks.
Um.... that was one of the smoothest rig rundowns I’ve seen. Why is Anderson’s not doing these on the regular?
Lol so agree!!! Was not a single awkward moment lolz
I think because Premier Guitar do such a better job of it he should just stick to the day job. Premier Guitar seem to get better access rights and are not just one of many fans battling for a few minutes of access.
Roger Moore I find premier guitar sooooo awkward. All of them. Bolinger is okay.
Agreed. But I have a feeling that camera man also need to know something about gear. When Mark talked about Rectifier the camera dude clearly didn/t know what peace of gear that was.
@@rogermoore2798 never have I seen demos from those rundowns, only this one.
Wow, you guys need to do this more often, everyone is so chilled out with the captain.
Mark and Zack are really humble and amazing musicians to take time out of the tour to sit down and chat. I love both, but I grew up on Alter Bridge quite a lot! Thank you for this interview and discussion
Do you know what venue this is in.
@@LMAO-sp7de I, unfortunately, do not. The place sure looks amazing indeed
London, O2 Millenium Dome I believe.
Oh they'd be motivated by some form of compensation. It's the only way to get humans to do anything! Carrot & the Stick..
I love how he named "The Stella" custom PRS guitar after his main character "Stella" in his novel A Dying Machine.
Shinedown are a great group of guys. Got the incredible opportunity to play on Zach’s rig. It was a once in a lifetime experience that I’ll never forget. The tone is immaculate
Hell freaking yeah. 2 of my favorite guitarists from 2 of my all time favorite bands. Nice way to start the day.
I got to meet Mark backstage in Chicago a few months ago, and he's such a nice guy. What you see of him on RUclips is really how he is in person.
Thank you for taking the time to get these interviews. These are two of my favorite guitarists from my generation. I appreciate the familiarity of Andertons from all the gear reviews. Everyone from Andertons is just so genuine and down to earth. They've spent enough time with gear sales that they understand that most musicians aren't professionals even though we wish we were. They are able to translate high minded industry talk into easily to digest language.
I couldn't have asked for a better interview. Especially with these two guitarists who are also both very humble and down to earth. Two of my favorites for sure.
Thank you!
Mark and Zach are great. Two of my favorite bands. I wished they toured together in the US.
I wish they'd come down to NZ together.
That would be my dream tour. They did it in Europe. Now we need it here!
Captain has this nice way of leaving his interviewees enough room to unfurl, and at the same time they never have to carry the conversation, he just turns it into a natural interaction, not a simple question-answer exchange
Loved this! Mark is such a humble guy and always makes time for people. His passion and enthusiasm for music and tube amps in particular is infectious.
Love that Mark Tremonti. Genuinely nice dude. Got to meet him earlier in 2018.
Best video I could have expected to end 2019. Thank you Andertons!
Don't forget Myles. That man can play🤘
Mark Tremonti is impossibly awesome. Seems like a great guy that really into his guitar rig.
Just wanted to jump in to give a huge shoutout to Lee Anderton. Bloody great job on the interviews my dude. You ask exactly the questions I'm thinking in my head, Mark and Zach were totally comfortable and open, and even your microphone-holding was on point. You kept the conversation going while giving the guests room to speak. Fantastic job mate. Would love to see more of this sort of thing.
This is like Rig Rundown with a better production. You should do more of these.
Angry Deli or “Too Cool” lol. He doesn’t bother me though but Chris Kies is waaaaay better
@@jesterspectre36 Chris is the man!
Two powerhouses of modern guitar! Absolutely amazing!
Mark is such a great guy! I am so gratefull to have met him. Btw. we need The Captain meets Mark Tremonti!
Great interviews Lee. Thank you!!
I do believe that is a Brewdog hoodie, it’s good to see MT appreciates good ales.
Glad to see the captain got to meet up while in england. An official sit down at andertons would be cool but this was still great.
I'm gonna need this show in the states pronto and thank you.
I’ve interviewed Mark Tremonti about three years ago. He’s really a very passionate and talented musician.
Keep doing these! Love watching rig rundowns, and learning what new things my favorite bands are doing! Definitely great seeing you going out and Interviewing artists👍🏼
Stay safe out there🙂
I recently have played the PRS MT 15 amp amp and I cant imagine anything sounding even more bad arse and he already has something up his sleeve. holy shit.
A damn-sight better set of interviews than most music journalists manage ! Keep up the good work Lee.
I got to meet Mark at a gig in TX. Awesome guy. Awesome band.
While Collective Soul was onstage in San Antonio about 18 years ago, in the pit, Mark Tremonti graciously had a conversation with me and my ex-wife. He has always been a very down to earth guy. Love you Mark. Wish you continued success.🙏☺👍
Great video Lee!! Mark is the man!🤘🏼
Love the interview, and "Mini-cap" in the background. Do I like this shape? Nope... not if you paid me, a LOT, but Tremonti is a great guy, so always good to see an interview :O)
Myles too! PLEASE!
Great episode, more of these please 🤙🏼
Great upload. I'm not into heavy stuff, but I really admire this guy and alter's first album is incredible.
Amazing!! Was at this gig too! So good!
More Rig Rundowns with The Captain!! Well done indeed!!
Awesome vid and Mark is a great guy. Thank you for this! 🙏 🎸🤘
Amazing show!!! I was there. But shout out to ‘The Raven Age’ for opening, known them for 6 or 7 years, and they’re killer!!!!! I recommend them!
I was there and they Killed it was such a good show!!!
@ 19:50 - As a Yamaha LSTA owner I can vouch for the built in effects that are in it. Haven’t tried the tonewood, but I’m very very happy with my Yamaha. It’s very inspiring.
The Tremonster 🤘🏻😎🤘🏻
Great interview Lee thoroughly enjoyed it great work
Captain kept John Bollinger's job with Premier Guitar ! ;-)
I grew up in Northeastern Ohio, and I went to England back in 2016. My sister and I couldn't believe how nice the weather was there haha. Maybe we just got lucky or something, but we were there for like 2 and a half weeks. I always think it is funny when people mention rainy overcast days in England as a negative thing haha. Also, the food there was awesome, I have no Idea what people always complain about.
the Diezel VH4 is something I wish I could play around with, but having Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier Roadster does give me exactly what Zach described, so if you live in the states and can't get your hands on a VH4, the Roadster is an awesome amp, if you need that clean, semi clean, crunch, and lead, 4 channel setup. I hope they make a JP2C in a four channel setup soon.
Tremonti is so modest ! PRS didn't even make a single cut till he ordered one !
The Captain meets Mark Tremonti? YES!
wow new premier guitar video!!!
This was great, Lee!
Wow this was awesome . Cheers lee 🤘
Definitely need to do more of this stuff!!
We need an Anderton's t-shirt, picture of the Captain, with a speech bubble above his head saying, "SOMETHINK"
Who the hell doesn't like this? Great video, I went to the Nottingham show and it kicked ass. Also, love that new PRS shape. Make it so Paul.
Awesome video guys!! Do more of these type of videos. Amazing! Happy New Year!
Glad you enjoyed it! Maybe a new series we could create when bands are touring in the UK?
Very cool interview!
I love how Mark's rig is still essentially what it was in 1999.
A few years back it was way more complicated than what we have here
Amazing, saw them at the Hydro 2 weeks ago!!!
what a great interview
I was at that show, it was absolutely killer
i love mark tremonti. nice dude
RIG RUNDOWN WITH LEE ANDERTON. Rebecca Dirks will be jealous.
at least Lee isn't getting perverted comments about "seeing the rig"
Vinyl Scratch We want to see Lee’s rack
"What are your plans for 2020?"
"A whole year of touring."
Yeah... those plans were scuppered. Good video Captain!
hats off to these guys.........!!!!!!
Hell yes more rig runs downs please!
Zach Myers #1 guitar is a SE model. That proves the quality of the PRS brand overall.
I read a lot of reviews when that came out of people basically saying i have no idea who Zach Myers is, but this is possibly the best PRS SE in the last 10-15 years. Incredible quality for the price.
YES!!! DO MORE!!!
It should say filmed at the ‘O2 Arena in London’ somewhere in the title or description.
1:44 that kid just decided to start playing the guitar
I loved it. Lee needs to hook him up with a PRS Tremonti SE 🎸🎸
Brew dog hoodie. Good man. My cousin is their accountant and a few mates work there. I used to live just a few miles from their brewer in ellon Scotland.
PS: Saw AB last week cologne - nothing changed - for me they are probably one of the best Rockband of the last decade 👍🍀🤘😍
I was there!!! Cardiff motorpoint 20/12!!! absolutely amazing show! 🤘🏻 shinedowns version of simple man got me man!! 😥🤘🏻🤘🏻
It’s the O2 Arena in London
The Captain Jr is so cute ! 🤘
Oh my god. Paul, I’m begging you. Make an se version of Stella. Please. I love it
Did you talk to Myles?
I was recently roaming the mean streets of Bend, Oregon when a bearded young man wearing tight fitting trousers approached me and said “Bro, have you heard Mark Tremonti he can shred bro!” I looked at him, smiled and said “LITTLE MAN, I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT ANY OF THAT MEANS BUT THANK YOU FOR YOUR PASSION!” then went about with the rest of my day.
WHAT
Mark is a nice guy
Want that koa SE!
It's a beautiful Guitar!
Okay. Now we HAVE to have a Sounds like Shinedown without busting.
That's exciting and really cool
MORE RIG RUNDOWNS!!!!
At 13:50 I see a guitar with US Army Airborne Wings on it. As far as any research I have done, Myers has never served in the military. Us Paratroopers notice things like that.
I wonder if he just likes the way it looks, or it's in remembrance of someone.
Incredible vídeo!!!
Interesting, and such a contrast to old school like AC/DC or even like a Zakk Wylde. He always said he is an analog guy and has simplified things compared to years ago.
Does somebody know which palmer stuff marc use instead of micing the cab?
Mark is my man he’s awesome
I can vouch for how loud atler bridge used to be. They opened for Avenged Sevenfold years in 2011 when I saw them. Guitars were blazing loud, sounded superb though.
That must have been an awesome thing to do..
i want that single cut... no tremolo, single piece hard tail bridge (?) no shop carries them for me, on PRS page says u can get one but they always come with trems :/ (or is this a SE Seris which i doubt oO)
It's gonna be great if Captain meets Mark Tremonti and Myles Kennedy
Killer Michael Myers masks in Zach’s guitars LS holder
that's his thang man... with a name such as Michael "Zachary" Myers... how could he not represent!!!
Great rig rundown! Just a question.
At 6:32 Mark says that from the amps they go Palmer direct out to the front of the house. Was he referring to a PDI-03? If not, what piece of gear was he referring to?
Thank you Captain!
Daniele Tiddia I believe he was referring to the Palmer Y Box to run both of his amps at the same time.
@@ExMortis99 Thank you!
@@ExMortis99 I don't think so..he's talking about that when he's asked about miking the amp..and he says that he goes direct out from the Palmer..so it looks like there's some speaker sim running to the PA..anyone has ideas?
And also this delay on all the time thingy..that's weird. How does it not clash on his rhythm sound??
HA, Zach's guitar tech is one of my friends!!!
Holy shit.... righteous 👍👍
Its an upside down double cut with a explorer tail. Right?
What acoustic amp where they talking about that mark wants?
Just the other week I was kinda wondering if PRS would ever consider doing an Explorer shaped guitar, which I would be very interested in. But that "explorerish" body shape doesn't work for me.
Correction. Dream Theater at the Wiltern in 2019 was the loudest band in the world. You had to be there 😅. Was deaf for 2 days after that show lol
I want that guitar❤❤❤❤❤
