    Hey guys Make sure you don't make these 4 common mistakes in your ACL rehab. They are aimed at getting your quad and leg size back!

    Hello! Thanks a big ton for uploading these videos, for those who can't afford expensive physio(the good pvt practice ones) and the ones in public healthcare are overloaded (they are unable to give you proper attention), these videos are Godsend!!!
    I have a question, I have a partial acl tear in my left knee, should I be following the videos in your ACL PREHAB series or the ones in REHAB?
    The surgeon is recommending conservative(phyio) treatment only.

    Day 14 of ACL+meniscus repair. These seem impossible for me :O is there a phase 0?

    • @AxeRugby
      @AxeRugby  4 года назад +2

      Quad contractions where you push your leg into the bed trying to straighten it out is a step below a straight leg raise. But the range of motion stuff is just hard.
      Meniscus repair stuff is much tougher but you will get there try exercises 2x a day as symptoms allow is the general rule.

    7 days post ACL reconstructive (allograft) with meniscus repair, able to walk one one crutch (able to walk without crutches with hard brace on too, with a limp ofc) achieved 90degree flexion and full extension, is this pushing myself too fast? i dont think ive talked to anyone yet that has such rapid progress and it scares me that i might just retear the ACL.

    Im 10 days post op, cant get into PT. These exercises are giving me sharp pain still especially in quad (i had a quad graft done). Is it just mental and I have to push through and keep moving? Left side of my knee is also numb

    • @AxeRugby
      @AxeRugby  2 года назад +1

      numbness is completely normal post op. sharp pain with a quad graft is also normal. dont push past your tolerance for pain and make sure the pain settles within a reasonable time frame e.g

      @@AxeRugby Thanks for reply, yeah I just thought Id be farther along but just getting atleast 1% better everyday which is all I can do for now. I believe having to wait 5 months for surgery and not getting proper pre hab in are playing a big factor, I only had 10 days notice to my surgery date. I arrogantly thought i was athletic and fit enough to accept the surgery date anyway.

      @@JRsmith. sometimes these external factors happen mate. Dont beat yourself up over it.
